Powerful speech! I like his points about "going global", but most businesses actually succeed in their home country first. Once they have found a business model that works, they are ready to take on another country - or the whole world. One of the best ways to help a new business find a business model that works, is to buy stuff from them and give them feedback so that they can improve. As a consumer, you can help Gambian business succeed by buying their products and services. If you're a business you can do the same - buy products/services from Gambian companies whenever possible. Or at least buy 10% of the things you buy from Gambian companies, instead of buying 100% from non-Gambian companies.
