It's easy to forget that oyster farming has been in the hands of our indigenous people since the beginning of time. The Jola and the Mandinka tribes changed hands frequently in this business, especially in the North Bank division. It may be necessary to create a revenue sharing formula or government support in this business for our indigenous oyster farmers.
