It says something that I would rather be watching a Hazy vid on TH-cam than an $100million budget Marvel Movie. And I'm just one of 122,000 people who probably feel the same way. Keep it up mate.
An old lumberjack I once met, shared his technique for oiling his tackle. Once a day for a week. Once a week for a month. Once a month for a year. That will leave you with a lovely deep dark sheen on your shaft and sheath.👀 He also talked about soaking the head in diesel fuel to make the shaft swell giving it a good tight fit. (I think the old lumberjack is doing time now)
Dude, your approach to wild camping, mental health awareness, fitness, hobbies and general approach to life should be taught in schools . Love you mate 👍🏻
I think in terms of helping yourself overcome life's hardships and just the realities of being a human and all the turmoil that goes on in our noodles both pieces of advice you have offered here are true. Sometimes you do need a bit of grit and resilience to pull your self out of a rut and sometimes you need to take some time away to recuperate - I think the really hard part is knowing when to grit your teeth and soldier on and when to take a step away and be kind to yourself. I genuinely believe the key to keeping yourself on as even a keel as possible is sticking to the "everything in moderation" mantra, both the 'good' self-improvement stuff and the treats.
Love that the walk away from camera - walk back to camera shots still make you chuckle. Love them. For anyone else who suffers clinically like I do, it is A-OKAY to take medication if it saves your life. It's an imbalance we unfortunately have, and as much as talking about it does help, and getting outside does help, when you are in the darkest of times you don't want to do those things. I've lost too many fellas to the black dog, and medication has saved my life a handful of times now too. I come off it thinking 'I don't want to need this' but I quickly realise how dangerous that is for me. Make smart choices so that your loved ones can continue loving you. Your purpose is to be here. Be well xxx
I've been watching your journey for a long time now on you tube and I must say you truly are one of life's little gems. Keep on doing what you are doing you are an inspiration to many and a joy to many more❤
Man, this video just reminds me why I love my Estwing Sportsman's; no need to worry about splitting or oiling on a 100% steel axe (obviously with leather wrap on the handle). Always good to know that the axe will work unless the steel itself somehow splits.
aye aye! there are many paths. when I can`t go far I just walk locally just a couple of miles every other night, it becomes part of my routine and not a chore.
Lush, thanks for not sacking it off! Listened to Bob's book in Highlands earlier in the year, so good memories . Gone Fishing is the best TV show in forever .. the Mortimer is ace.
I have nothing but love for ya. Waffled, don’t waffled. Happy, struggling, whatever. At least you’re trying to live life. You make wanna live life even though it’s a roller coaster. God bless you
Hi hazy swear to god mate if you had a snack bar I’d be there everyday that looked really tasty , nice work on the axe and that tent build with the tarp I need to try that looked well good . Always a pleasure watching your vids you’ve shown some great tips bushcraft and meals a big thanks buddy take care of those digits mate and all the very best of health 👍👌⛺️⛺️❤️
Another AWESOME overnight camping ' allow, decompress time ' adventure 👍👍👍. That stack looked Absolutely Delicious 😋 😀 😋. As hopping for some away time myself, when my sister comes to visit from 🇨🇦. As I have been looking after my parents 84 & 87 years old, since may of this year. As you have to look after yourself first, otherwise you can't help other people.
Excellent video as per Hazey mate, top quality content. Those little talks from your good self are a constant pick me up and I appreciate it. Already looking forward yo the next one maybe ft Joey von curly top 😉 all the best mate.
Dontundetstand why this channel hasn't teached over half q million yet. Hazy gives us humour honesty, bushcraft especially if you're a beginner he explains it so well. On top of all this is some of the best banter you'll ever see. Plus he is a fantastic advocate for mens mental health and is not afraid to talk about his own steuggles which is so important for men to do. One thing i have noticed though is the notifications for a new video has stopped working. Unless i catch you on Facebook id know nothing about it. Top BLoke who deserveres more recognition. Sorry rant over love you Hazy and we need more Joey von bramblehead vids but i realise he has a family that comes first. Honestly you two together are just next level you can tell you're childhood mates.😢 Prace and love to you and Fern❤
You always look so happy in the woods, I'm so glad you're getting out and about. And that steak looked sensational. It's making me think of splurging on one for Christmas dinner.
I'm just here for the book recommendation. Read the satsuma complex because you were listening to it in a rain storm one night. So I look forward to the sequel, cheers
That steak looks marvellous. I prefer it less well done, but how you like it is how you like it. A steak has to be perfectly cooked for the person who is eating it. Had to cancel a camping trip to the woods with my niece's pups, because of the wind. I still took them out and walked them ragged, two days in a row. The weather was cold, but sunny. Down in the dene the wind was minimised. I am getting a panic on. I need to go to the woods before winter bites. I am on weather-watch... if all else fails, a hiking trip to Madeira looks good. First world problems.
I love your waffling 😝 I’m not a fan of ASMR 🥴 I love it when TH-camrs chat away and I do get that sometimes it’s hard when you’re not in the mood ☺️ Love your channel, you keep it real ❤
Yakisugi is a traditional Japanese method of preserving wood used in architectural construction. Mike from TAoutdoors also used a similar method when burying posts for a reconstruction of an Iron Age roundhouse based on archaeological evidence of it being used at that time. But in my personal opinion it looks a bit shit when you do that to your axe. It's a slippery slope to adding runes and eagle feathers.
Hazey, You're always helpful in one way or another. Every time you post 122 THOUSAND people are instantly happier. You're like Yorkshire Gandalf with all your wisdom and might.
Love the video as per mate! Thank you! Can I ask, have you ever seen anything weird or unexplainable when camping out in the forests and remote places that freaks you out?
That's a good shelter, I always put a rag or something over the top of the stick, just for a bit of extra protection of the tarp. Corn looks lush as well - great video, pal.
Sometimes the cheese and the noddles fall off the cracker, that's apart of life. Fighting back with small wins is what helps achieve the big final goals. Hazes mate, keep smashing it 👍
I love corn cobs 😋 never had one for breakfast, though, so will be trying that. You jest about a cook book, but the amount of camp fire cooking you've done you could easily do one. I'd 100% buy it. I'm sure Fern would help, too.
Loved the video thankyou and showing my favourite tarp setup handy when you have a pooch 🥰 Ime going to have to try the corn cooked like that and loved the axe once it had been finished 🙏
or as Joe mentioned (85,000 times) in his recent chat with Storch - 'Balance'. So chill out thinking about kicking your arse, then go and actually kick your arse, then chill out again thinking about the arse-kicking that has been, and will come. Sorted ;)
I Love your little mental health chats as a fellow ADHDer,it helps. Ive found a break from carbohydrate has really helped my mental health. I feel awake for the first time in my life. Hard at first but the benefits to the noggin are worth it.
Hope the digit’s on the mend and you are soon rippling the ivories or strumming the banjo or just hammering a peg in painlessly. Me? I’ve a rash that’s getting me down. Like athletes foot but on my body. Finally, an athletes body and I hate it! Still maybe a sponsorship from Canestan incoming? Thanks for cheering me up when I needed it!
Black dog fucking sucks arse. Always there, goes but comes back. It's great that you deal with MH in your videos and are always open. You're a legend Hazey. Much love
wood charing isnt just or exclusive a japanese method for making wood weather and waterprove it has been done all over the world for bridges or foundations where wood is in the ground like walls ,cornerpoles ect the japanese method you refering to just became popular for the looks it is a cosmetic thing and also requires you to sand it back down and oil it up aswell
It says something that I would rather be watching a Hazy vid on TH-cam than an $100million budget Marvel Movie. And I'm just one of 122,000 people who probably feel the same way. Keep it up mate.
DEPRESSION HATES A MOVING TARGET!!!!
Mate! I absolutely love this! Thank you 🙏
❤
Just came across this and have shared this along to many others now! Thank you 💪ATB, Greg.
Paul! The woods missed you too, nature is alive and watching us love her back. Glad to see you out making the most of your great life ❤

It’s so cool to see how easy and affordable camping can be. Great job on the setup! Keep inspiring us with your content! 🙂

You know you should 100% do a Camp Cookbook Paul. 🔥
Hope, possibilities, and compassion, all very valuable messages Hazy!

Loved the tent build demo Hazy. No need to do ASMR - loads of people do them but not many have your banter 😁
Have a KitKat, peace and love ❤
Hazy keep doing what your doing. You are a very special person that many people love!!!!
Love what you do, keeping it real, love the axe makeover, keep it up.

that cajan seasoning repeats on me like nothing else on this earth
It helps bud ❤
Although I have the mystical knowledge of tarpology, I prefer a bivvy 😊

nice one , take care
I like how the axe looks, just bare in mind that the heat from the fire onto the axehead might have softened the steel a bit.
Dd tarp pyramid 😀💚 one if my favourite shelters , fantastic vid . 🙌. .
It’s a beauty isn’t it
Love the video as per mate! Thank you! Can I ask, have you ever seen anything weird or unexplainable when camping out in the forests and remote places that freaks you out?
Top notch.
Keep ur wind at back end ,😂brilliant advice that hazy boy 💪🏴👍

Sometimes the cheese and the noddles fall off the cracker, that's apart of life. Fighting back with small wins is what helps achieve the big final goals. Hazes mate, keep smashing it 👍
That's called an Adirondac tent after the place it was invented, for anyone interested.
Well done hazey baby!
I love corn cobs 😋 never had one for breakfast, though, so will be trying that. You jest about a cook book, but the amount of camp fire cooking you've done you could easily do one. I'd 100% buy it. I'm sure Fern would help, too.

Like athletes foot but on my body. Finally, an athletes body and I hate it! Still maybe a sponsorship from Canestan incoming? Thanks for cheering me up when I needed it!
You've inspired me to eat some meat off a stick. Cheers chief
Hey dude. What smock is that you have? is it ventile or similar? Doe sit have a pile lining? Sorry if you mention it, still watching the vid.
It looks a good length, and decent elbows.
Always a pleasure chor, never a chore chor. Always feel better for listening to you, mate.
Love the video

That sounds divine mate
Great video mate. Pleased you enjoyed it 😊
I understand, been there for years. Keep on keeping on.
Do you block the door somehow with this set up?
Lovely camp out ❤
You can close the door but I didn’t bother. I’ll maybe do it next time to show you or make a separate video on it
