Fantastic timing on the upload mate. I’m on day 50 of another, seemingly endless number chemo cycles, and am feeling pretty low today. So your video is helping to lift my spirits. 👍
Thank you for the comment, it’s very much appreciated. It’s definitely been a fight these last fourteen years. One day all is great, then the next you wake from a coma and the world is upside down.
I am 44 and I have been dealing with depression since I was 18 and people don't understand the struggle, but your right it takes small steps and talking
Not for the first time, i feel like you are talking to me directly. Appreciate you brother. Fairly sure i need to cut the beers back to zero, probably forever. But i'm often able to get myself back to a level and then i forget! Lovely to hear from you so honesty. You've been a strong voice to me for more than 5 years now. Wishing you the very, very best my friend.
You help people by being you, thats a gift my friend that few have, when you’re low think about that, think that by mending your own noggin you will mend others. You are so many people’s inspiration and they too can be yours. If a guy can say i love you to another guy then i just did
Love the way you are always considerate to others who may be suffering even and especially when you obviously have lots to think about yourself. A sign of genuine compassion and its really appreciated certainly by me as well as many others I'm sure. Best wishes.
You`re an inspiration to so many Paul. Look after yourself. Heartbreaking to read so many have these issues. Thinking of you all & keep talking to whoever will listen.
The way I look at this is no matter how shit I feel there’s always someone worse off so I give myself a kick up the arse, a good slap and be thankful for what I’ve got.
I love your outgoing nature and that you talk about mental health so openly. You make it feel like we’re not alone in the dark. And now I have to go and make some roast potatoes! ❤
Such gourmet meals. Open a small ( as in minimal people) Camp and Dinner operation. Hike a few miles, set up tents, cook dinner while guests drink and serve dinner. People would pay big for that experience.
Much love chap. As long as we’re breathing, there’s a good chance things will get better! And thank you for being open and honest. The struggle is real, and men are *shit* at talking about this stuff, and just turn in and lock it all away. And that way lies trouble. You are an inspiration.
This video is the second one of you that I watch, and what you tell in front of the camera is not easy, sharing your feelings and what you have bin trough. This probable helps other people stepping out of there misery and start e new life.....Well done Dude. Just be happy.
So refreshing to hear somebody being honest about their struggles but in the same breath I’m so sorry that you have been unwell I wish you a speedy recovery xxx
I used to always give up booze September - December, drinking on Xmas day, birthday and new years after the break. Having had depression since very early teens I needed a method of breaking that autumn - winter dark hole. It worked really well. This year for some reason I carried on drinking occasionally as normal and suffered deeply with the consequences, some of the scariest depression I've ever had. It's seemingly more scary the older I get. BUT the universe sent me good friends and after a month I am out of it. I won't make the mistake again. Quitting drinking between September and December works wonders for me. Thanks as always for being so honest with us. It's so necessary to hear that we are not alone with our black dog times, and also SO appreciated.
Maaaaaaate! So happy to see your face and hear your voice! After the week we’ve had over here in the US, I soooo needed this! THANK YOU!!! And thank you for being you… over share to your heart’s content… it’s what makes you great. 👍
There's always a new adventure aroud the courner buddy, just keep your eyes open, your heart true and always lean on your nearest and dearest for support. Lets not forget you will be someone to lean on for advice and support in the future, it's were wisdom stems from.."been there done it" type of thing lol
Good to see you back Haze. Also good to hear things are getting back on track. These videos are a great reminder that when my heads up my arse, to just get out into nature and breathe. Your videos do a lot to support men’s positive health, not just mental but physically also
Hazey you are an absolute god send mate, so grateful for your oversharing and for all of your adventures, what an inspiration. Keep your head up mate ❤
Please don’t apologise for over sharing that’s one of the reasons I and many of us love your content. Your appreciation of nature, your addictive personality, sense of humour and honesty and willingness to share your troubles resonates with many of us throughout the community you have built. Thank you for all you videos and as ever, nowt but love brother 👍
Haze lad, you’re kind of my Samaritan, it does me the world of good when a new video comes out, it gives me some hope, substance, food for thought- keep it up pal you’re a good man.
Don't stop talking about your noggin please. I love your channel and everything you talk about. I struggle and from time to time it's pretty bad and I love the outdoors. Iv not managed to get myself camping in years sadly but I love watching you do it and all the adventures.
I did recently lose everything from my inability to communicate, locking myself in my own head pretending everything was fine when it’s definitely not. This past week I’ve realised it’s not okay to do that. Non of us are alone. I’ve bumped into you twice, Tesco clifton moor and the services just before glennriding exit on a66 roundabout. Always be one of my favourite TH-camrs for your shear honesty, a lot of respect x
Thank you for everything you do. What you said in this video resonated so deeply with me. I have permanent struggles with mental health but keep myself on the straight & narrow by eating healthy, avoiding alcohol, keeping active and maintaining a healthy sleep schedule. I feel your pain and speak for everyone here when I say we appreciate and care about you x
Never anything but an honest gent. Who likes the woods and cooks some unreal food. Glad your doing better, you have a strong mental toolbox. And I know many people will pull up their bootstraps after watching this 🙏
Nice to see you back mate. Max respect for your honesty. MH is Something we all need to be more honest about. As my old army doc used to say: ‘no one has a problem saying my old ankle injury is playing up again; yet blokes are still scared to say my old mental health injury is playing up again.’ Every time a brave man like yourself talks honestly about MH, the bonds that tie the stigma to MH get weakened a little bit more 👌❤
Been feeling the same recently after the breakdown of my relationship and coming back from 6 months on tour. Started doing the things you talked about. Exercise, time in nature, better eating habits and laying off the booze etc. I was super low but one day I just managed to turn up for myself and took a walk in the autumn sunshine.Your words from this and previous videos always inspire me to check in and try and be good to myself. Thanks to you I am finally starting to feel like I may actually be ok and there is light out there beyond the dark. Thank you for speaking so candidly about your issues and showing how its ok to not be ok and there are ways out. Stay safe out there sunshine. All the best. Much love.
Been going through this my whole life. Just met someone that has explained how my brain works. Slowly but surely anxiety and depression is slowly leaving my brain. Im just not entertaining it anymore. Kind regards Lee
Come on Hazy! You *always* over share, even without a giant Yorkshire Pudding! Keep on keeping on and talking to us aboout your noggin. You are doing a LOT to help other men who don't feel they can talk about their own mental health x
Hazey, thank you for your genuine, honest content all these years, you are a real one. Please don’t feel like you owe your followers more content all the time. It doesn’t matter when you put new stuff out, people want to watch and support you whatever. Take care of yourself and go easy on yourself
I am so glad you are feeling better. You are a truly inspirational human and your videos have helped so many others with their own battles, me included. I have been on testosterone replacement therapy for a few months now and it has made a massive difference to the way I feel and has allowed me to get my fight back. I wish you all the best and hope to see you in the woods one day!
The meat is as tender as a mother’s love!🥰 looks good pal. What’s made me feel better is listening to ant Middletons audio books. Not saying it helps everyone but helps me. Keep well.👍🏻
Thanks for this video Paul. I'm in the midst of a really rough period. I'm going to a mens circle tomorrow, first time I've ever done something like that. Head is cranking, things seem like they're falling apart. This video was super helpful. I really appreciate you being so open about mental health. You're a great bloke.
Nice one Haze, that stew with the Yorkshire pudding looked great, and I have to say the roast spuds looked and SOUNDED amazing. And I say well done when talking about mental health, and stigmas associated. Keep well friend.
Mate, I come to your channel precisely because of the oversharing. Never an issue. You say it helps you, I’m certain it helps others. Keep at it lad and when the dark things come, always remember you are loved 👍🏻
'Namaste out of trouble' 😄😆😆😆 ...sorry to hear about recent struggles, been there myself and is hard this time of year but is brilliant that you're doing something about it in a positive way and are ok...much love.
Haze you are a breath of fresh air, so pleased you have found your path again and can talk so openly. It gives me hope with a son with ADHD that there are strategies to keep his head out of the anxiety. Love that you 'over share', it helps so many, and helps you to talk. Never feel alone, we are all here supporting you, we are holding you bro. We hear you. Sending nowt but love ❤
You have not idea what this video has done for me. You’ve brought me out of a very dark lonely place of grieving and depression, but this is a lightbulb to me. I know that sounds dramatic and a bit of overshare, but communication is the key, so there we are. Much love!
Glad you're out of the void. You're a beautiful person and an inspiration. I quit drinking 4 years ago. A relief. And even with 0%beer you can do the "drive by"
Does Nimbus help the old noggin? I know my dog has been a big help for me, unconditional love and a reason to get outside every day. Much love as always Hazey x
Love this video mate. Openly speaking up about mental health is so important and us lads should be doing this much more on social media and keeping it real, because it isn’t all roses. It’s reality. The outdoors is the best medicine because we escape the madness of the world. No human was created to love how we live in society today. We are all broken and can definitely relate in some aspect. “Small wins” as you say, to keep grinding forward. Great video ❤ Also bangin meal 😍👌
Always make my day with your videos. Openness and honesty. Off into the woods myself tomorrow after few months. Like you say. We are coming into that time of year now where the noggin starts to go. Especially for us that work outdoors. Keep swimming mate. One day we will do a camp!!
A fantastic video that’s just ouzing with help and love. I came away from it feeling much more positive, thanks Paul, sometimes it’s the least looked places that give us the most help. Hope all is ok with you too ✊🏻
In the words of Ronan Keating 'life is a roller-coaster, you just gotta ride it' knowing how to get out of your ruts & having the tools to do that is so important. 100% agree about the importance of diet, sleep & exercise! Always remember, dark skies are followed by clear ones! Much love!
Well in for talking lad. Keep up the vids of you getting out. Knocking the drink on the head helped for me. The scran looked delicious pal. Let’s have more of that please 💪
Great to have you back Hazy❤. Thought you were going full Charlie Chaplin. Glad you've got out of the dark place, take care. Many thanks for the upload they mean so much to so many. Big love.
Lovely to see you back, I was wondering how you were as you were gone for a while. So pleased you’re opening up to tackle your menty h, you should be really proud of yourself! I just lost my brother in law through bad menty h, so it’s super important that it’s talked about, you’re doing a fantastic thing. Amazing content, as always matey. Sending you hugs and positive thoughts 😊
Just remember that there are givers and takers in this world we live in and all I have ever seen in your videos is caring, sharing and giving and that is not always easy to do. That is your strength, and to proove it look at your subscribers and viewing figures. There is a lot of very deserved respect out there for you, enjoy it.
You bugger, you made me seriously hungry! That grub looked epic! Don't underestimate yourself Hazey, I've been watching you for years and years and you are an inspiration to all your subscribers! Big hug!
I've struggled with low times in my life since I was in my late teens, and it's never a choice to feel that way when you're in it. The one thing I've learned is that I'll never "cure" myself of it. So it's a matter of building your resilience and being stronger than your darkness. Do things that enliven you, don't do things that bring you down. Be precious with your time and company, be aware of who you give your time and energy to. And do all the things you know help, nature and cold water being top of the list. Breath intentionally, look into breathwork routines. I wish anyone who might be going through tough times might read this and find the way they can be stronger than their own darkness. Build yourself up my friend, be kind to yourself, and allow yourself lapses in your routine without feeling you failed. There's always a brighter day around the corner. Love to you all
Going to the gym defiantly helps! Ive just come back from a two week trip in Scotland. Bloody needed it! Keep strong brother! PS this video has made me Hank Marvin!
Hazey just know that you're a positive influence in the world. For example, you've inspired me to also wear the flat cap 😁 Seriously though, your willingness to be vulnerable for the benefit of others is top tier. If I can offer some advice (if you haven't tried it already). Cut out all caffeine; tea, coffee, hot chocolate, coke, pepsi, chocolate, energy drinks for 10-14 days. That usually does a lot of good for me.
yes yes , we here in the Northwest USA know "no sunshine" and now that it's fall there is wind and cold and rain along with it. But going out in the woods and eating like that should heal plenty. it's the best way to live.......peace to you man and thanks
Mint Video Hazy Fantazy........your vids keep my noggin feeling better, I totally get where your coming from. Small victories is what it's all about. Onwards and upwards you brilliant fella...... you can't feel sad if you put a smile on your face, even if you don't want to smile. Namasté
Thank you for the video and sharing your battles. You don't know how much it helps people who go go through the same sort of stuff. (Talking about a mate obviously, not me at all lol). I have decided to get out there again after around a month of melt down and lack of motivation. Thank you for a another kick up the bum that its good to get out :) That food looked amazing also.
Im in my 60th year and found out 2 years ago Im autistic and ADHD. My whole life Ive been at war with my own brain and to suddenly find out why was a momentous moment. Every day is a series of mental battles. Some you win some you lose but being open about my mental health with friends and family has helped me push through. Much love Mr Haze keep fighting the good fight.
My First camp this Saturday for what seems like forever!!! Struggled myself recently and slowly getting the head together!! 👊 keep them coming dude, can so relate 🙌
God love ya man! For some, there will always be a struggle. It's all in finding a balance and that can be elusive at times between work, family, & yourself. Now...as to that friggin' awesome plate of grub! And those potatoes! You would have ol' Sam wise salivating!
Hey dude, you are a proper inspiration. My head goes west on the regulars, in fact it's never situation all clear. Got physical cack going on too so struggle to be on my own mostly. Good to see you making the best of what you have. Top food too! Thanks for all.
I really think that your openness and honesty helps a lot more people than you know about. Thanks for all the videos and keep them coming.
Thanks for that mate 🙏
True that
Helps Me!
True words squire…Me too. What a boyo keep at it Hazey 👊

If over sharing helps, share and keep doing. We are all here to listen
If sharing and talking to us is good for you, it's best for us! We love to see it, thank you sincerely.

Love to you all
You're all good brother, we all go through dark times, reaching out and small changes is always helpful. Haze and McQ are the bushcraft G.O.A.T.s 🐐🐐
Going to the gym defiantly helps! Ive just come back from a two week trip in Scotland. Bloody needed it! Keep strong brother! PS this video has made me Hank Marvin!
Hazey just know that you're a positive influence in the world. For example, you've inspired me to also wear the flat cap 😁
Seriously though, your willingness to be vulnerable for the benefit of others is top tier.
Great vid Hazey … good to see your noggin back in the game … keep well 🫡

Mint Video Hazy Fantazy........your vids keep my noggin feeling better, I totally get where your coming from. Small victories is what it's all about. Onwards and upwards you brilliant fella...... you can't feel sad if you put a smile on your face, even if you don't want to smile. Namasté

Big up for sharing .
Opening up and talking is one of the best things we can do 🤙
Thank you for the video and sharing your battles. You don't know how much it helps people who go go through the same sort of stuff. (Talking about a mate obviously, not me at all lol). I have decided to get out there again after around a month of melt down and lack of motivation. Thank you for a another kick up the bum that its good to get out :) That food looked amazing also.
What you said will help many, many others. Thank you.
We all love you too ❤🤗
As a 41 year old male with 25 years of mental imbalance my thoughts are with you dude 👍💙
Wow, this is the best vid you’ve done for me and I followed you a while now. This has helped me today, thank you.

God love ya man! For some, there will always be a struggle. It's all in finding a balance and that can be elusive at times between work, family, & yourself. Now...as to that friggin' awesome plate of grub! And those potatoes! You would have ol' Sam wise salivating!
Thank you for your courage. Be well.
Just discovered your channel and the things you have talked about ring so true to me. Great video thanks.
