Just want to say I really appreciate your channel. You have a relaxed demeanour and natural way in the bushcraft space. I also really appreciated your folklore and information on the Sitka spruce. All the best and keep the videos coming, there great. Kyle
Thank you mate 🌙 Alan Watts once said "there is no such thing as an artistic mistake in nature" and I feel like that applies to some of the old tales.. It might just be anthropomorphism, but aye, the lore brings a bit of soul.. it is that pull and reward of being out.. the ambience of everything just getting on and doing its own thing together.. I'm glad a wee bit of that comes across in the video fir ye C
Thank you🌙 I appreciate that Aye, its quite a facinating tree.. I'm aiming to make a wee video on its history and uses.. needle tea is a source of potassium, magnesium, vitiman A and E and a really good source for vitamin C.. the resin is antifungal, antimicrobial, antiseptic, it can be used to treat cuts and burns, can be used as a glue, to waterproof, its flammable etc.. a crackin common tree to know when yer oot an aboot!
Thanking you kindly gid sir. I wasn't sure if adding some guitar is a good idea or not.. its just a few rought takes done on the Boss BR.. nothing fancy Glad ye got a wee something from it 🌙
Your channel name Out an aboot literally drove me to an instant Subscribe, your definitely my kind of person haha! Awesome video friend, Scotland has such a vast, beautiful landscape! Nice to see you rocking the 58 Webbing too!
Thank you very much.. glad it was yer thing and I appreciate the feedback! I really have come to appreciate the 58. Comfortable weight distribution, about as durable as it comes and more than enough for what ye need.. 🌙
Oh yeah, definitely its a nice soild design, and everything is exactly where you need it, pouches just the right size for most items you would need. My only bug bear with mine was the belts buckle, on some of them has this unusual buckle design that depending on how you move can uncouple itself randomly, had to change that! Did you manage to get the haversack and the poncho carrier with your set? And out of interest, what make are the ponchos that you used?
Thanks fir that! Aye, it's a braw place to be.. I grew up in this part of Scotland and it's still showing me its little secrets.. I'm glad you enjoyed it 🌙
Ahhh magic! Thank you for that 🌙 I highly advise it, there are lots of hidden gems all over Scotland.. a bit of walking about following yer nose, and a bit of luck, ye can find a nice quiet spot in most areas..
@jaden4550 it's a mix of flour, milk powder, baking powder, sugar with a wee bit of salt.. it was about then, I realised I left the honey in the car haha
Thanks for that mate.. the bow is from Huntingdoor, its the 60lbs and enjoyed it so far.. it is simple and has a nice feel to it.. the metal body can get a bit cold ahha
Aye, I am realising that now.. I felt like a POV would help bring someone into it.. but I get that it just looks too messy now.. Thanks for the feedback mate 🌙
Cheers fir the feed back. I do agree tbh. I don't have a computer or camera so it's all filmed and edited on my old phone, a Galaxy S20.. so im fairly limited. I was thinking the movement in the POV shots do come across erratic. When I use any kind of stabilisation app, the quality is reduced.. I'll hopefully up my game with equipment / production this year
@@Ronoc_finnwe do the best we can with what we have. Don’t have to be a master to start but have to start to become a master. Keep going and you’ll get there. Without the gear to stabilize the camera maybe try to limit walking shots or at least maintain a wide angle (don’t film just a few meters ahead but rather a bit further). Great camping 🤙🏼
Great video thanks for sharing. Chilled out guitar complimented it really well.
Great video, i look forward to the next one

Food cooked over fire is very delicious. Enjoy your meal

After you cracked the eggs what did you add from the bag? Guessing it was salt but wanted to be sure
@jaden4550 it's a mix of flour, milk powder, baking powder, sugar with a wee bit of salt.. it was about then, I realised I left the honey in the car haha
Great video mate, just subscribed from a fellow OutandAbout TH-camr 😉👍
What is that great bow you are using? Love the way it folds up so small. Subscribed after watching this video.

i noticed you did not build a Long fire.? ... no spelling mistake. Long fires last for hours. Try it.!
Great video. Just avoid handheld shots unless they're very still or panning.
Aye, I am realising that now.. I felt like a POV would help bring someone into it.. but I get that it just looks too messy now.. Thanks for the feedback mate 🌙
