They'd taken around 8 years off to do solo projects, but this one showed they hadn't lost a step..still great together and sounding awesome. Good health wishes to you! "Suite Judy Blue Eyes?" another beuatiful CSN song.
Wishing you better health Liz. I went through my own health issues but slowly getting better and working out again. I can't work yet but i waste a few bucks on 2 lottery tickets each week and if I beat the long odds and win Lotto Max I'll remember you and send some help. May God Bless you. Love your eyes they are very unique. 👀🌹🌷
One of the best harmony trio's of all time. Sadly miss David Crosby. Stephen Stills from 'Buffalo Springfield', and Graham Nash ex Hollies who I have been following for 60 years and whose harmony style has influenced me for the 55 years I spent as a musician. Couldn't be replicated. Thank you.
Stephen Stills is a serious sailor. This song is so loaded with sailing terms most people wouldn't understand them, but it's so melodic that the average listener wouldn't care. That's the genius of CSN. IFYKYK. If not, you'll still enjoy the song.
Can't go wrong with anything by Crosby, Stills Nash, or Crosby Still Nash and Young. Amazing storytelling, and superb harmonies. A personal favorite is "Helplessly Hoping". It's not a long song, but it's just beautiful. Good luck on the job hunt.
I grew up musically on the roots of Crosby Stills Nash and Young. I was 7 or 8 when the Buffalo Springfield came out (Stephen Stills and Neil Young), not to mention the Byrds (David Crosby) and the Hollies (Graham Nash). All of them were my favorite groups before they joined together as CSN at Woodstock and then CSN&Y on "Deja Vu". Their music is amongst the greatest music of the late 20th century, like the masters of old, e.g. Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, and Brahms, only to name a few. Future generations will rank them in place. I'm a novice musician since childhood, but I learned to sing and appreciate harmony by singing along with their songs.
I'm sorry about your health issues. I'll say a prayer about that. Good song Southern Cross! You know gangster baby I could turn you on to so much good music. I am a child of rock and roll and know everything great from the 60s and 70s. That was when music was best.
CSN was a supergroup. So much great music. "See The Changes" is a favorite, as is "Carry On" and "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes". Stephen Stills wrote the majority of CSN's songs.
Thank you Lizzie for sharing your perceptions . You are a genuine and beautiful person. Please continue on and I know your circumstances will improve.❤
One of my all-time favorites. I first heard it on the radio as a child in the 80's. I had no idea what most of the lyrics in the verses were until much later when I was able to look them up on the internet. They're definitely not cliche. I'm willing to best some of those words and place names aren't in any other popular songs. Anyway, lead vocalist Stephen Stills wrote this song after a divorce when he took a long sailing trip to clear his mind. Sidenote: Crosby doesn't sing on this song or the album it's from. Those big vocal harmonies are Stills, Nash and Timothy B. Schmit from Eagles. You loved the Eagles song, "I Can't Tell You Why," featuring Timothy on lead vocals.
First time watching - The Southern Cross is a constellation in the Southern sky, usually only visible South of the Equator. He's sailing to Papeete (Tahiti) from Avalon (Catalina) dealing with a recent divorce. Yes, melancholy. BTW, you remind me of the girl who is featured in the Dire Straits official music video SKATEAWAY from their album Making Movies - please watch and react!
Liz you look amazing, sorry for your current situation, stay positive and something will come along, I'm so glad you are loving the ''Yacht Rock'' vibe, if it isn't a problem, you need to listen to Nicolette Larsson - Lotta Love plenty of Sax, Flute, and some strings !! Great song ❤
Hello, I'm a first time viewer here.your great, and I'm sorry about your struggle, stay true, stay strong, your beautiful and clearly you don't runaway. God bless you and I'll be back
If I could take the music of only one artist/band to a desert island, it would be Crosby, Stills & Nash. Stephen Stills was the reason I learned to play guitar.
I hope your life turns around, and you find a decent job you enjoy dear/ Have faith in God dear/ stay in prayer and positive thoughts. and good deeds/ Shalom Clayton😊😊
They are refering to the constellation Crux that can only be seen in the Southern Hemishere. The Southern Cross is whats known as an Asterism of four stars within the Constellation Crus that looks like a Cross. An exaple of an asterism is what most people know as the Big Dipper those stars we plainly see looks like a Big Dipper but the big Dipper is not a Constellation, It is part of the Constellation Ursa Major which is Latin for Big Bear.. Anyway, I remember seeing an interview years ago with a Space Shuttle Astronaut that said he took a cassette of Crosby, Stills and Nash'es that had the song Southern Cross on it up into space with him just so he could listen to the song while he actually looks at the Southern Cross stars. He said it was very emotional to plan and actually look at the Southern Cross from space relating to verses in the song. Anyway, back in the real world,, we see how all these collages and universities always have to protest and even riot about things. There is another song I recomend you react to Lizzie by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young that is not as soothing. It's called, "Ohio". It's a true story about a tragic incident that happened at Kent State University on May 4, 1970 while students were protesting the Vietnam War. This may be the best vid to show actual photos and videos of what happened. APUS Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young - Ohio (Lyric Video). We all love watching your smiles and fun antics, but this song hits home to the reality that with happy songs there are tragic and sad songs that we need to listen to and learn by also.
Recorded in 1981, long before "Auto Tune" was even a thought, you had to have real talent in order to harmonize like that... This is one of the great songs of that era!
From what I can see Lizzie, you're doing exactly what you need to do. Your make up is tight, and your hair enhances your beauty. I have faith in you, Lizzie. You're gonna get healthy and then you'll get employment. In that order. Though your situation isn't very good right now, keep being your positive self. The way you look right now, people will want to know you. The last time I was unemployed, job search was a pleasure. I emailed my resume to prospective employers. I didn't have to run all over town to submit my resume. With your skill and abilities to make your reaction videos, Lizzie you'll use your imagination to create a beautiful resume.
25 years at sea circumnavigated the globe a shell back and a blue noser anyone who has done it loves it and hates/fears it and still amazes me the number of people who thinks this is about the Battle Flag
You should check out Menloncary Man by the Moody Blues. Please excuse the spelling. You said the song had a Menloncary feel to it so that's why I recommend Menloncary Man by the Moody Blues 💙
I see you uploaded this a year ago - have you found a job? Hope so - what is your skill set? What kind of work have you done up to now...BTW thanks for reacting to this song. Its one of my favorites from back in the day.
I just sub’d. You have great music and you’re enjoyment is beautiful. I’ve followed music reactors for 5 years. The best one’s keep the personal & gimmicks out, and post constantly. The key is great Music Discovery…you’ll grow. Also, get turned onto Country music.

Sorry about your current situation. I don't know if my requests for songs I asked for you to play is causing copyright problems. And also you gotta take care of your health most of all. I have a request for you and I hope you can put it on your show. It's from Wilson Phillips called hold on. And even if you can't play the songs I requested. I understand 👍 and I'll still support your efforts and your channel. Please take care of yourself, be well and be safe. Courtesy from the BlasJazz crew. Hi lizzie .I have a suggestion song I think you might enjoy I love the band "Blue Rodeo" I think a good song to start with them might be five days in May .bye for now.
Blue Water Sailing song with ramifications still being discovered. That southern island of the Marquises is the island of Fatu Hiva. Approximately 23 days form southern Mexico on a mono haul. You will arrive at the Bay of Virgins. Durning April and May the constellation Southern Cross will be symmetrical. Only place on the planet. A vector through the cross straight to the horizon will be true south. The ancient Polynesians used the Southern Cross to navigate to Rapa Nui. (Easter Island). Recent genome studies have shown that Polynesian DNA is present in Columbian and Mexican native Americans. The oldest Polynesian DNA is found here on Fatu Hiva. There's a COVER Band called FOXES and FOSSILS who do CSN better than anyone else. The harmnony is spot on. Look 'em up. You won't be disappointed.

Music is her name. Awesome lyric.
It's like with bikers, if you know then no explanation is needed, if not then none is possible... I served in the USN on subs, '78-'84...

A very beautiful song. Their voices are harmonious and soothing.
Everything is temporary. I wish you great success! You are in my prayers!
Great reaction Southern Cross is the name of a star system in the Milky Way its also featured on the flag of both Australia and New Zealand.
Southern Cross is also our Southern American Rebel Flag: Confederazis.

Great song you would love them doing the song Wooden Ships and Liz you are looking good. 😍🔥
Thought you might be interested to know that the lead vocalist for this group was David Crosby - he died about 10 months ago at 81 years old
Idk, but my eyes fill with tears at the Drop.
You need to enlarge your Crosby, Still, Nash & Young experience. They were indeed a super group (and you have a super face).

The Southern Cross is a constellation in the Southern Hemisphere that points due south and has been used by sailors years hundreds of years.
Hey Lizzie, this song is so chill with its tight harmonies, I would consider this song as part of the "yacht rock" genre!!
Love will keep us alive by the Eagles- Timothy B Smith- he also sings I can't tell you why
..love your hair..❤

Crux is a constellation of the southern sky that is centered on four bright stars in a cross-shaped asterism commonly known as the Southern Cross.
Always thought it was David Crosby doing the high notes. Kinda threw me when I found out it was Graham Nash all along.

Literal 'yacht-rock" . The 'she' early in the lyrics is his sailboat. Lots of sailing lingo. Great tune. Bongos add a nice dimension.
