Documentary filmmaker Anand Patwardhan of 'Ram Ke Naam' fame chronicling the Ram Janmabhoomi movement received criticism for directly asking people about their caste.
On our new interview series with Kunal Kamra, Anand takes us back in time to the shooting of his documentary and explains his reasoning behind his inquiry about caste.

If the majority of people really want it, constitution will be changed tomorrow. So don't place so much reliance on constitution.

To add secularism for appeasement is a step which can be reversed . Secularism is a thought , its application matters . India is secular in all spectrum but constitution is not secular .

Anand patwardhan is an unsung hero who, sadly, will remain unsung unless maybe future generations recognise his works importance. But i have no hopes because when i was younger i thought casteism, religious extremism, religious discrimination and hatred will disappear by now but these things have become more severe and people have become more dumb, hateful and cruel.
Ayodhya itself was secular...Its the outside elements that made it communal

It's really shameful that we kept lower cast even during 90ts... education could have been utilised as the great tool to unite India. Literally they don't have any clue about a fellow from lower cast Jogendra Nath mondal first law minister of Pak and why he came to India 2-3 years after partition.
