I have no idea what the top speed is and on the street I couldn't care less, I'm all about acceleration and handling, which the 890 delivers big time.
watch out dude! blipper should only be used with closed throttle while slowing down. if you’re downshifting while accelerating, like say before overtaking, ALWAYS use the clutch. don’t mess up your gearbox. quickshifter quick guide: never use it under 3k rpm, always upshift with throttle open while accelerating, always downshift with throttle closed while braking.

That’s a very hard one. I haven’t ridden a mt-09 but based on vids they are similar in performance and stuff… the ktm seems to have more features that can be added. But in terms of long term reliability the mt-09 would probably be better option….
Im from Illinois. My dealer has some good deal on 2022 models , they had it for 9300.. and the 790 2023 is listed for 9200.. What should I do?? Can you put a rear seat?
Mine came with a rear seat, I put it on when I got a passenger. Takes two seconds to swap the seat on. Tbh ktm has better financing deals on the 890 then the 790, at least when I bought mine.
Ohhh you should definitely test ride the 890. I rode every bike this this category, nothing comes close to the 890 when it comes to the fun factor, i was laughing my ass off inside the helmet..Never felt the same on any bike.

bought the 2022 orange on black 890 duke last july. Love it! added: heated grips, cruise control and some slider/guards. excellent bikes
out of curiosity, how often do you use the cruise control on the bike??
quite often actually especially on longer rides. nice to give your wrist a little break too

Yeah it is. but it was worth it because otherwise, since it was a Saturday, I would’ve had to wait till Tuesday to pick up the bike lol

High octane fuel as well. Oíl filters and fuel thats the key

When I was at dealership as soon as I saw the livery on the gp I was like damn I couldn’t take my eyes off it. thats what truly sold me on this model

Don't get the 790, you will regret it. Go for the 890, it's waaaaaaaay better in any measurable way.

@@joeltavarez9055 . More power, better brakes, few more electronic aids..Between the base model and GP edition, only the paint scheme is different.
@@joeltavarez9055 . KTM is also testing a 990 Duke, so if i were you, I'd wait for sometime.
Those ktm engines are sensitive, keep an eye on your oil changes and it can last long.
Sweet. I’m deciding between this or the BMW F900R. KTM seems more fun but the BMW is more comfortable.
I dont know much about the BMW, but I do know if the seat that comes with the KTM isn't comfortable enough KTM does sell an ergo seat that is thicker.
The BMW is just plain boring compared to the 890
