Agreed - what a lousy way to treat the musicians. It's like indentured servitude. What would it have hurt the Osbournes' profits if someone else who actually did work on it shared some? I'm sure there was more than enough to go around.

OMG Jake E. Lee! My guitar Hero! My favorite guitar player. Incredible creativity, technique, original, wonderful stage performance and added to what I've seen, read and heard is a fantastic human being. A guitarist who had to endure so much comparative criticism with Randy and still play in a band that was a real nightmare with Ozzy and his wife. This guy is so underrated in the Rock scene. I am really happy for him that every year this has been changing. 10/10

There have been some legitimate complaints like not liking his tone and such but mostly it's " he sucks Randy is better." I saw Jake with Badlands and I was just in awe the whole time. Plus he has some hidden gems on The Ultimate Sin album that nobody talks about like Fool Like you. So a note to my fellow Randy is the Best club members, You are not honoring his memory by trashing every guitarist to follow him. Another great analysis. The more people who know Jake's crucial contribution to Ozzy classics the better. Definitely right on the versatility. A musician far more inclined towards bluesier 70s grooves (based on his output post-Ozzy) who nevertheless took crazy 80s flash techniques further than any other Ozzy guitarist. While Randy will always be the greatest Ozzy guitarist - especially due to his innovation and writing ability - Jake for me had the most effortless feel on the guitar and the best vibrato.

An idea of a topic which relates to seeing musical origins, (which might not be worth the trouble), is that I have always thought that a straight line could be drawn from the octave soloing of Wes Montgomery to the Hendrix instrumental piece "Villanova Junction Blues" at the end of his Woodstock performance (There's a cover by Steve Tibbetts). And seeing that Hendrix performance as inspiration to a younger generation of players, you could draw a line to Steve Vai with his octave playing in "Sisters" and "Tender Surrender", and another line to Eric Johnson's "Manhattan", and "East Wes". I'm not saying that they didn't know about Wes Montgomery, but that the Hendrix piece might have been a catalyst in them incorporating octaves in their playing (since they are both Hendrix fans). I find this kind of stuff interesting, but it would involve using a few different clips, and might just be too much work.

Jake himself said that Ozzy told to his face he fucked him. People pretend he's this goof that took too much drugs and just wanted to make great music.
He's not. Ozzy punched Randy Rhoads in the face when he wanted to quit the band before the accident. Ozzy act like they were like brothers, reality seems much different, they hated each others in the last days.
