- The future home of the Los Angeles Clippers is nearly complete. KTLA's David Pingalore reports from Intuit Dome. April 17, 2024.

I seriously think Ballmer doesn't get enough credit for keeping the Clippers in Los Angeles, and NOT asking the public to pay for his arena, props where props are due.
For the people who will go to these games, I really hope that the concessions will be fairly priced. At UBS Arena on Long Island (opened in November 2021) a bottle of water is $8.69. An entire meal will cost you $30 if not MORE. Parking is $43. I have gotten it for less in the past depending on where I park. Public transport for me to get there does not make sense. I also don’t want to take an Uber/Lyft there if I don’t absolutely have to because I don’t like riding in a strangers car and you have to tip the driver.
@@kobyschechter8163 theres no way this will be affordable for average LA income families, live sports have priced themselves out of reach for many, I went to a rams game which is next door to this new clippers arena parking was $100 a mile away at some high school.
@eugenewoo8352 Lmao ballmer didn't ask for public help to build the arena but asking the public to chip in by over pricing food etc. Don't give that fool to much credit until people are actually in that building to tell about everything being more then it need to be
@@eugenewoo8352 But that’s football. The football season is so short. You get 9 home games in a season at best. Basketball is an 82 game season with 41 home games. Because there’s more games, the prices of tickets SHOULD be lower. I’ve never been to a football game in my entire life because I live on Long Island (NY). MetLife Stadium is at least a two hour drive from us. And that’s on a good day. Also the tolls to get from Long Island to New Jersey are so expensive. Going to a football game for Long Islanders is an all day affair. I can get to UBS Arena to see my Islanders in 30 minutes and I don’t have to pay tolls. If I went to a 1:00 o’clock football game, I would have to leave home at 10:00 and I wouldn’t get home until 7:00 probably. I would rather just watch football from my couch then sit in the freezing cold with 80,000 people who are likely to get drunk.
I agree....Not a fan of the Clippers but I think Ballmer is the best owner of all of professional sports...the Clippers were down and out when he bought them and now he has kind of turned them to one of the best teams in the nba.
This is going to be amazing. As a local resident, I can't wait to check it out once it's all done! Now if the Clippers can win a championship this year, that means there will be a new championship banner raised in their brand new arena! What a way to break in the new building!!! Whoop, whoop!
Lots of Debbie Downers here :0(
In a story, there’s always a villain or 2!
Thank you Mr. Ballner for creating jobs; more power to you !
Make way for the street hot dogs 😊
my hometown love you INGLEWOOD
I am so over this construction. There is always traffic. People think is good for the community but those can't afford in inglewood because of the increases in rent, are getting displaced. Wth
They just announced Slipknot. I’m so excited for that
Same! Im seeing them in this exact dome! SO EXCITED!!
People in these comments are so negative. Lot of miserable people😢.
Maybe those nwgative comments are based on the waste of money o on these billion dollar stadiums that can be put to better uses for the tax paying citizenry.
Theres like 60 stadiums in LA now
They should make another football stadium for the chargers. Imagine 😂
Why can't the Clippers move back to San Diego?
Los Angeles is too lucrative of a market to leave.
Donald Sterling ruined the fan base in San Diego.
Almost done
Isn't it weird that the LAKERS are in the outhouse and the CLIPPERS are in the penthouse?
Wheres the benoit Benjamin and Michael olawakandi statues?
Going to see slipknot there 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Is Inglewood a better area now or is it still a pretty greasy neighborhood?
There are still some dangerous gangs in the city like the Crenshaw Mafia Gangster Bloods and Inglewood Family Gangster Bloods. It's a nicer area than it used to be, but there are still many people in the area you wouldn't want to mess with. Just mind your own business and you're good.
Its "greasy" and people are getting displaced because of all the rent increases. Home owners are also being forxed to sell
It’s in California, they love criminals…. Crazy how many businesses and shut down..
It's still a toilet outside the confines of SoFo and now this place. They pretty up the surrounding areas for the media but go 4-5 blocks away and most likely you'll be a victim.
@@kendallevans4079 even last year at the Sofi stadium I heard about several people getting shot. Inglewood is one of the only cities in LA County where the majority of gangs in the area are Bloods and it is mostly surrounded by Crip neighborhoods, so it will more than likely always be a hotspot for gang activities.
Can't wait to see Bruno Mars there.🎉
but will they have enough clipper fans to fill up this arena?
Only if Jeanie Buss continues to run the LAKERS into the ground. And, LeBron having his way.
Too much traffic already. It’s going to be insane. INGLEWOOD!!
Hopefully it's earthquake resistant
I’m seeing Slipknot live there.
Everyone is trying to make Intuit Dome special when, in reality, they're admitting that the stadium is unique.
LA will always be Purple and Gold, Get ready Clippers for the Invasion!
Can’t wait for LAKERS new home
I think it is kind of mid.
The B1M has failed me cause I didn't even know about this
They just made a video about it lol
@holzman00 I see lol I'm very convincing 🤣
Inglewood up to no good
Steve ballmer should have bought Honda center . He would have saved $ 1.5 billion and be out of the ghetto areas.
The Honda Center is an absolute dump. He would've had to sent hundreds of millions in renovating it. Plus, its in Anaheim.
the Sac kings tried to move to the Honda center in 2013 the NBA said the honda Center needed another 1.5 Billion in upgrades to be an NBA arena, parking and the locker room situations and hotels around the area weren't up to NBA standards. its too small
Anaheim, Garden Grove, and Santa Ana are Ghetto too!😂
@@eugenewoo8352 wrong . Maloof brothers wanted to move to Anaheim, but Donald sterling and Jeannie buss were against it since it would bring a third team to Southern California.
Funny how many of those homes in that "ghetto" area are now going for $1 million+.
Who cares about the Clippers?
U stand for 2 hours?
‘The wall’ is a weird feature. Designated for 4500 people?
it's an area for Clippers fans only. instead of the home and way teams fans being mixed up. Honestly I think all US sports should have something like this. Similar to in Soccer. they do it the best.
@@itslife1399precisely
If you go to games at intuit stadium, you will get in to it with ninjas or edgars 😂
Clippers Who. Everyone know that LA is home to the mighty Los Angeles Lakers 17x NBA Champions.
Mind your own lakers business. You sound bitter af since your Laker owner can't build a new Arena.
the mighty LA that just saw a first round exit
@@itslife1399 So Lakers still way more titles then the Clippers.
so when are they sending Luka Doncic his own keys
Clippers? What's that?
1:18 how are you going to see the stage for concerts up there? terrible
It's is DEFINITELY not that Bad Now,.. like it was when in the 80's and the 90's when the LA FAKERS played in the In Great Western Form.💯
Steve Ballmer owns that too 😂.
It can house the homeless when not in use.
Yeah!.... So Can the Staple Center too. You are Absolutely Right,....Down there on Figueroa Used to be Skid Row Heaven U.S.A... Until they push them all TO the Backside Area of Alameda, when they built the Staples Center..💯🙄🤔
Looks perfect, a perfect place to house more migrants.
Need a place to stay?
@@reekkoh let’s temporarily save it for your newcomer relatives
Walter walt voice
Ya got us 🖐🏻😲🖐🏻
you one of those lol
While many are sleeping on concrete outside, and on freeways around that area...
And? If anything the additional tax revenue can go to help the homeless.
If clippers are only $35, why are concerts hundreds of dollars?
because those concerts are the one charging you that price. plus concerts for 1 or a few bands is generally 1 weekend or 1 day. clippers have a whole season in that arena.
A that so nice 💯,what about the kids school that closed no money,o.k. maybe u can a couple of those hard working construction people over to the school to remolded it, what much in permits to build something like that the city charges
That's not his job. This arena will help many businesses in Inglewood. That, in turn, will help better fund schools.
@@mrxman581 buy front row seats, they drive down Inglewood Blvd tell me what u see fool
@@Umustbecrazy don't get mad when they start gentrifying the surrounding area then lol
Lakers new home! But damn this area is gonna turn into DTLA vibes. Already lot of homeless in that area
clippers r done way bfor intuit
"The Wall" ? Standing the whole game? I think not!
We all do that in St. Louis at Citypark, grow some skin for crying out loud.
@@elicarlson7682mls is cringe
@@bobbowie9350 in what way
The gentrification continues….
in this case im cool with it, it gives the locals jobs
Hell yeah out with the old and abandoned…….In with the new jobs, new businesses and overall growth
Stop being poor
That's not generally a bad thing tho. the place is going to offer so many people jobs in that area
All this and their star player is never healthy lol? Good luck clip fans
Yay!!!! Bye bye Clippers 👋🏻 24 years at Staples/Crypto Arena and nothing!!! Yet the Lakers have won 6 since that time! Battle of L.A.? Lol stop 🛑..🙄😒 Anyways good! Good bye! Finally!!!🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤞🏻
Don't understand why Lakers fans feel so jealous and insecure even after all them championships
Why are you so bitter lmao this is good for the sport lol anyways.. first round exit lol
@@itslife1399 ....You guys know the Best about First Round Exits.😂😭😭😭 🤡. AGAIN!!! 😭😭😭
And you will get robbed in the Intuit dome parking lot because its a bad area. No thanks.
Like Staples center is any better
LOL… Lakers were in Inglewood for 30 years when it was much worse. No one had a problem with that. Funny, how it's all now forgotten. 😂😂😂
No one forcing you to go. Just stay home .
it's not as bad now compared to when the lakers were there
Clippers still trash
Ingelwatts is a place to stay away from🥷 it might will be in Oakland🫵🏿. Do you get my drift?
true, but inglewood is not as bad as it used to be. now oakland?
Red states are violent😅😅
