This was a really fantastic video. Thank you so much for recording and posting it. I have it bookmarked and will check your channel for future repairs! Great job, thanks again!
Thanks for the video, but I have a couple suggestions that should make it easier for beginners like myself. 1. Mention that the metal on the inside is EXTREMELY sharp. I cut myself on the forearm which required six stitches. 2. Take an existing rod out and measure it before you order. I have the exact same model that is used in your video. I used the link in the description to order the rods. I verified that the model number was listed in the description on the Amazon ordering page. The rods that came were just over 26", while the existing rods are 27". 3. Instead of trying to use one hand to disconnect the tension cables (this is where I cut my arm), remove the pack panel of the washing machine. This is done by removing the four screws on the back. This opens up the back of the machine allowing greater access to the suspension cables. 4. Be really careful while the lid is being propped up. If it slips, like it did on me one runs the risk of disconnecting some existing cables. This happened to me and cut the grounding wires (green, green/yellow wire) on the rear left side. 5. Like someone mentioned before, do a re-calibration before using. I'm bringing these issue up so others don't make the same mistakes that happened to me. I have replaced the rods and the washing machine works like new. Thanks again for the video.
Excellent video. This really helped me to fix my washer as many others did. Greatly appreciate the time and effort you took to show this to us. W as ame to do it in close to 30 minutes. 👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you. This was a refresher course as I had to do this just over a year ago. Do you think this repair is going to be an issue every 15 months or so?
depends if you used the Samsung rods or the knock offs and also how you use your washer. if you always max out your load size it puts more stress on the suspension
@@appliancerepairamerican Yep, 2nd time using the Prime ones. Although the originals only lasted 13-14 months. Instead of fixing the washer, Samsung just bought us out. Thank you again, Ken
I replaced these rods by flooding your instruction! My washer now spins properly. Thank you! The weird thing is that at the end of the spinning cycle the banging noise is still there. What else do you think I need to replace? I appreciate any feedback.
Check to make sure that the washer is level. Also it the Samsung OEM suspension is very expensive. sometimes when using the knock off suspension rods the problem still persists. There should be links to both options in the video description
He forgot to mention to put some lithium grease on the bushings. You HAVE to put the grease on the top plastic part of each spring and inside that top bracket where the rod sits.
sometimes the after market suspension is not so great. There is also a link in the description for the Samsung OEM suspension. make sure that the washer is also level. the feet are adjustable . Have a fun repair journey
Cont: this was overlooked by Samsung engineers__Bigger ,thicker Paddings on all four sides. This will minimize and reduce the rocking and shaking of the tub while spinning. Mine works just...now.
I replaced suspension rods and it’s still shaking. I tried calibration too. What would be the next thing to look at for the shaking and Ub code. I can’t even wash a couple towels on low spin cycle without getting the error code. Please help! 🙏🏻 And thank you so much for this video.
Just a follow up on this in case someone else has the same problem, I ordered the suspension routes from the link provided from Amazon, and the problem ended up being that the suspension rods were too short from whatever it links to so make sure you get the right size
Hello there Thank you for the great video. We were able to change the suspension rods all four. But I'm still having issues being unbalanced. I spoke to Samsang to do the calibration. It is still unbalanced in the final spin. I really do not know what to do. I'm thinking of getting a new washer. If I have no answer. Thank you so much
you have to make sure that you put the correct suspension rods in the machine by cross referencing your model number to the part number. CAll this number and have your model # ready when you call to get the correct Samsung suspension for your model 800-347-2745
Thank you 😊 so much for your detailed video, u made it look easy!! We should have wore gloves cause weird sticky greese got all hands from old part. I think we put too much effort in trying to raise drum but if you can get rod spring to give a little the top was the hardest for us. We did not have to release wires in back left seems our wires had length enough to raise top high enough. We have noticed our new Samsung washer just like the past one only last 4 years b4 having to replace the tension rods, disappointed in #samsung. We did run "calibration" which is found in the book. Definitely recommend doing that after installation. 1 load success yay! Thanks Amazon 4 for $45.00 & your video.....success.
Se here, the greese is so bad I spent 20 minutes washing my hands. Though I am not sure if I clean the suspension rods and re-greese them if need to replace them.
I replaced the rods, greased them, ran the calibration and this machine still needs to be put in a landfill. I'm so frustrated. I'm so angry that this machine barely lasted 4 years. Any other ideas? BTW the first 2 or 3 loads after the replacement worked great. Samsung is terrible for appliances.
Same here- worked great for a month - the rods i bought were 70 bucks on Amazon- some say you need to buy genuine Samsung but isnt that what came with the washer to begin with? 😡 the washer start going unbalanced 11 months after purchasing
google ‘drilling holes samsung washer’. dude posted a video of drilling 5-8 holes in the underside of the ‘balancing ring’. tried it and the washer runs full cycle. not sure about the long term…
Not familiar with code “br”. Check to see if your inner, metal drum, is loose by holding the plastic drum with left hand and trying to rock the inner drum with the right hand. Obviously it needs to spin, but it should not have any motion other than spinning . Also check you model number and make sure you installed the suspension that goes with your specific model
Very nice video! Just did the swap on mine and i thought everything went smoothly. However, now my washer just flashes at me when it comes to the spin and rinse stage. I noticed when removing the original shock rods the back right rod had a plastic bracket (believe you call it a pressure switch) attached to the rod and the cable was wrapped around the rod several times. Is the wrapping portion causing the issue?? I didnt wrap it to where its tight
not unless it is being pinched. it is a hollow straw used to measure pressure as water fills the tub so it knows how much water is in it. if it is pinched or gets a hole or clog in it the machine will not know how much water is in it
Thanks for the video. I just repaired my wa50t5300ac/us. I did a test run on "spin only" and all is well. I used Amazon rods. My question is, did I suppose to coil the clear tube around the right side rear rod like it was originally, because I forgot and I did not.
yes, it helps secure the hose to the pressure switch so it does not pull out during heavy movements. You should be ok, but if you start to have other problems check that to make sure the hose remained plugged in
Hello thanks for the video. I was changing out my suspension rods on a very similar Samsung. The pressure hose in the back left hand corner was twisted around the rod. I was careful to twist it around the new rod. The top of the pressure hose is undone and I can’t see where to attach it to? I’m hoping it just sticks out the back and is no big deal? Thanks again
@@appliancerepairamerican Thank you! The hose is damaged. I believe i can get a new tube and Jerry rig it. It's a latin American model and hard to get to the pressure switch . I'll get it and be better for it. Thanks again
At the beginning of the video, when you went to the back, you took 2 screws off before to snapped the top off. But at the end, when the top was back in place, I noticed you screwed on not only the 2 you took off, but 3 MORE after that at the back top of the control board. What were those for???
@@appliancerepairamerican Well, turns out I needed to take those screws and that back panel out anyway, cause for whatever reason I couldn't take the control panel off without feeling like I was gonna break anything. Allowed me to get to the 2 screws in the inside. Anyway, switched out the rods, seems to have helped with the spin cycle. hopefully these rods last for a few years and not just a few weeks or months like few reviews have stated. Thanks!
We have replaced the rods twice now. Thinking the first ones were the wrong ones. It still is very off balance....machine is level. What do i need to do? When it is empty, i can bounce the tub around like a basketball.
Call Samsung and ask how you can recalibrate your model. Their are buttons too push if you have a digital & after rebranded you should run calibration. Hope this helps. We are doing our rods on a 3yr old samsung.
what do you do when you have A: replaced the suspension rods, re calibrated the machine, and get a beautiful spin with the machine empty but as soon as you put 4 identical socks in the tub placed across from each other it starts to spin, gets to 7 minutes then the bottom of the drum wobbles out causing a UR/UB code? i am at a loss for words with this. the machine works flawlessly other than the spin cycle.
I have the same model washer and I replaced the rods about a month ago. It worked great for a couple weeks and now it goes unbalanced with every load, it doesn’t matter how much is on it. I ordered the suspension rods off of amazon for like $35. Did I get crappy quality or is there another explanation?
How did you put the clip back from the top? Since it’s all the way on the right. Referring to the back right side. The part of the video you didn’t show
I have this machine and it’s 3 years old. Worked great with any size load up till this year. Started getting Ub codes so I replaced the spring rods and that didn’t work. Replaced them with off brand and those didn’t work. I am down to spinning two articles of clothing at a time. What else is there to replace for unbalanced loads?
@@chadsrt The obvious is getting a level and making sure the machine is level. on that model you will need to take the top off to get a square edge to put a level on. the 4 feet are adjustable. The Samsung OEM suspension is very expensive, but it is recommended. Call this number and have you model number ready to get OEM parts: 800-347-2745. Other than that some Samsung have a Tub ring with fluid in it that is supposed to help balance the machine. That could have gotten a hole it or may have a problem with it. Best of luck
The springs just weaken. You'll start getting a ub (unbalanced) code on almost every wash. If you watch videos to diagnose, people will push down and it will bounce back like a 94 Civic with broken shocks. Mine wasn't nearly that noticeable. It just rocked to the sides like it was floating. It's just a rod with retaining cups on the top and springs with an inverse retaining cup on the bottom. The tub just floats on them.
Is there a way to confirm/check that the rods are damaged/faulty? I would hate to change these if they aren't really damaged. Also, I didn't see on the video that you used any sort of lubricant (or white lithium) on the new rods? Is that necessary?
Jam foam pool noodles around the drum to help restrict movement. Even new suspension rods don't fully solve unbalance issues as they are too fragile/soft even when new. Also this issue will keep happening over and over requiring constant replacement with this wear part $$$$$$$. no thanks, wedge pool noodles in there, then end.
The REAL solution is buy Nyogel 767A damping grease, apply on shaft where the collar slides up and down and it will significantly reduce the motion of the shocks. The option on this video can work but the plastic will wear out due to friction on the parts. Never use regular grease on the rods because that will make the shocks slide up and down even more easily. you need friction grease so the parts still move as they should but resistance of range is reduced! If you buy replacement shocks notice there is sticky stuff on the shaft where the motion will occur. Good luck out there.
The problem with these washers are the cheap seals that are in the suspension rods.. I finally got tired of replacing them every month, and make my own seals using my 3d printer.. been 3 months now and running like a champ
make sure that the washer is level. There are adjustable feet on the bottom that screw up and down to help level the machine. Sometimes if you don’t buy the expensive OEM Samsung suspension rods the cheep ones dont work as well. There should be a link to the OEM suspension rods in the video description
Also make sure the rods match your washer. The ones in this video didn't match mine. I did find once just like it that had my washer model number on them.
Calibrate the tub-you have to do this as part of the repair process If you still have issues, take the lid off again pull the rods and add lithium grease. There’s a reason the factory ones have that sticky grease on them.
I ordered these rods but now the tub sits too high and I can’t put the top back on. Any ideas on what the problem is? My washer is inoperable now. It’s the exact same model and ordered the same aftermarket rods.
Found the issue, please remove the link to the rods you’re suggesting. They are causing a lot of people problems because they aren’t the correct length.
check to make sure it is not something else. If you can wiggle the outer tube, moving it separate from the inner tub than you have a different issue. if so remove the agitator plate and make sure the nut is not loose. also sometimes the inner drum can degrade and separate from its center . also Make sure the machine is level
Hello - i did this about 3 months ago the new rods lasted about a month anyone else? I bought them off Amazon 40 bucks the oem rods would cost me 270 plus shipping way too much- im now in the process of re- engineering a washer which in my opinion was a terrible design
I’ve replaced the suspension rods twice a temporary fix after a few loads goes unbalanced, did a X Y axis recalibration works for a few loads, unplugging for 5 minutes and the XY RECAL works for a few loads then becomes unbalanced again. Any suggestions
We replaced original suspension rods with aftermarket “upgrade” rods recommended in another video, from Amazon. Drum was banging around again in no time. And when I try to find OEM, they are no longer available, and/or cost same price for one rod as for 4 aftermarket. So very frustrating. I’m never buying this brand appliance again.
Also make sure the rods match your washer. The ones in this video didn't match mine. I did find once just like it that had my washer model number on them.

We decided to try again after the green “upgrades” bought through Amazon failed shortly after installation. We bought a different “brand” from a different Amazon seller, which had lots of positive reviews. Rods were thicker and spring had a 1” long rubber gasket around part of the spring. So far no problems (after about a week and a couple loads a day). 😎
Just replaced the rods and still throwing a unbalanced load code during the spin cycle as before...I saw you mentioned it could be that the inner tub has separated from outer tub. Is there any way to fix this or just bring the washer to the curb and get a new one. Thanks.

Not only was my pressure switch hose clamped to the rear right rod, it is wrapped around it twice. What a pain in the neck. 3/4 done without an extra hand. Now need to wait for someone to get home to hold the drum and see how I can unwrap that nonsense with little room to work...

Hello, I changed out my suspension rods yesterday and I’m still receiving the UB error code and loud noise during the spin cycle. Everything is aligned as directed in the video. Any other advice?
Some times the inner and outer tub become separated due to corrosion or a loose tub nut. In some samsung there is also a balance in the tub ring . These three problems can also cause the issue. The inner, metal tub should only spin inside the outer tub. It should not move independently in any other way
possible bad rods. If you did not get the Samsung OEM rods. The aftermarket ones on amazon may not have done the trick. you also have to make sure you cross reference your specific model number with the correct part. There are other issues that could cause those symptoms too. The inner tub can be separated from the outer tub. The machine can be off level. Some Samsung have a tub ring on top that can screw up the balance too.
@@appliancerepairamerican The whole tub assembly thrashes about with ease. I got the aftermarket thicker rod replacements. I just ordered the clamps I saw in comments and going to try that. Fingers crossed.
Yes, sometimes it will only bang when it has a load in it. Usually you can test if the suspension is bad by pressing down on the drum and when you release it will bounce. The problem with the Samsung is that the new suspension rods are expensive

Thank you for sharing. We all benefit from eachother’s experiences. Would be great if you make a video.
Excellent video. This really helped me to fix my washer as many others did.
Greatly appreciate the time and effort you took to show this to us.
W as ame to do it in close to 30 minutes.

So glad that i could help
I’m gonna go for it. I’ll comment how it went for me after the fact.
Thank you 🙏🏼
Please do, beat of luck

Thankyou so much for posting this video. All of the other videos I saw were total bs. But this was quite simple.

Thank you.
This was a refresher course as I had to do this just over a year ago. Do you think this repair is going to be an issue every 15 months or so?
depends if you used the Samsung rods or the knock offs and also how you use your washer. if you always max out your load size it puts more stress on the suspension
@@appliancerepairamerican
Yep, 2nd time using the Prime ones. Although the originals only lasted 13-14 months. Instead of fixing the washer, Samsung just bought us out.
Thank you again,
Ken
Thank very much. This video was so useful. Simple change and not as intimidating as I thought it was going to be. Thank you so much.

Bought new rods install was easy thanks to this video.. First load of laundry.. Zero change..wtf
Have you calibrated the machine?
Replaced the rods and seemed to be the fix for a couple of weeks. Right back to where I started …
Same for me. I only got 1 week of it working. Short lived happiness
Make sure machine is level and grease the rods
This fixed our washer! Thank you so much!!

Can you give me a link for those flashlight that you’re using inside that would’ve been a big help today
here you go. these are rechargeable with magnets to stick to side of machines. amzn.to/3Yg017t
I see that cut on your right hand half way through. Reminder to always wear gloves or just be super cautious around sheet metal. Stuff is razor sharp
Good tip!
Thank you much for this info. I got the peices off Amazon for like 45 bucks, so i hope this works. I definitely dont wanna toss a 800 dollar washer
sometimes the after market suspension is not so great. There is also a link in the description for the Samsung OEM suspension. make sure that the washer is also level. the feet are adjustable . Have a fun repair journey
Thanks for the tip !!! I fixed the problem. Happy wife, happy home 🏡 💖 💓 💕 💗 ❤️

Even with the new springs, you still need to Fortify and add extra drum (foam padding) on 4 sides
Cont: this was overlooked by Samsung engineers__Bigger ,thicker Paddings on all four sides. This will minimize and reduce the rocking and shaking of the tub while spinning. Mine works just...now.
Thank you for sharing your experience
I replaced suspension rods and it’s still shaking. I tried calibration too. What would be the next thing to look at for the shaking and Ub code. I can’t even wash a couple towels on low spin cycle without getting the error code. Please help! 🙏🏻
And thank you so much for this video.
chaleco to see if the inner tub is loose from the outer tub. Does it wiggle ? if so you need to remove the agitator and see what is going on under it
@ thank you so much!! I’ll try that 🤞🏼
Just a follow up on this in case someone else has the same problem, I ordered the suspension routes from the link provided from Amazon, and the problem ended up being that the suspension rods were too short from whatever it links to so make sure you get the right size
Hello there
Thank you for the great video. We were able to change the suspension rods all four. But I'm still having issues being unbalanced. I spoke to Samsang to do the calibration. It is
still unbalanced in the final spin.
Thank you ill try that again@@appliancerepairamerican
Thank you for sharing your experience
Se here, the greese is so bad I spent 20 minutes washing my hands. Though I am not sure if I clean the suspension rods and re-greese them if need to replace them.
I replaced the rods, greased them, ran the calibration and this machine still needs to be put in a landfill. I'm so frustrated. I'm so angry that this machine barely lasted 4 years. Any other ideas? BTW the first 2 or 3 loads after the replacement worked great. Samsung is terrible for appliances.
Might have to get samsung balancing rods instead of amazon, there probably cheap
Same here- worked great for a month - the rods i bought were 70 bucks on Amazon- some say you need to buy genuine Samsung but isnt that what came with the washer to begin with? 😡 the washer start going unbalanced 11 months after purchasing
Me to as well I replaced the rids before no problem I just did it again still unbalanced!!!
google ‘drilling holes samsung washer’. dude posted a video of drilling 5-8 holes in the underside of the ‘balancing ring’. tried it and the washer runs full cycle. not sure about the long term…
@@barbaravisoria6650 did you use dampening grease?
You just saved me a $200 service charge!

Thank you for your video, I did replace the rods but still banging and showing code br, any idea what else can be? , thank you for your help.
I didnt wrap it to where its tight
not unless it is being pinched. it is a hollow straw used to measure pressure as water fills the tub so it knows how much water is in it. if it is pinched or gets a hole or clog in it the machine will not know how much water is in it
@@appliancerepairamerican you have any troubleshooting tips or ideas on what could be the issue??
Awesome video thanks

Thanks for the video. I just repaired my wa50t5300ac/us. I did a test run on "spin only" and all is well. I used Amazon rods. My question is, did I suppose to coil the clear tube around the right side rear rod like it was originally, because I forgot and I did not.
yes, it helps secure the hose to the pressure switch so it does not pull out during heavy movements. You should be ok, but if you start to have other problems check that to make sure the hose remained plugged in
Thank you, I appreciate your help.@@appliancerepairamerican
Hello thanks for the video.
I was changing out my suspension rods on a very similar Samsung. The pressure hose in the back left hand corner was twisted around the rod. I was careful to twist it around the new rod. The top of the pressure hose is undone and I can’t see where to attach it to? I’m hoping it just sticks out the back and is no big deal? Thanks again
It attaches to the pressure switch
@@appliancerepairamerican
Thank you!
What were those for???
most likely i pulled out screws that did not need to come out so i edited them out
@@appliancerepairamerican Well, turns out I needed to take those screws and that back panel out anyway, cause for whatever reason I couldn't take the control panel off without feeling like I was gonna break anything.
We have same problem, replaced the rods but machine is still showing Ur code any help is appreciated
Call Samsung and ask how you can recalibrate your model. Their are buttons too push if you have a digital & after rebranded you should run calibration. Hope this helps. We are doing our rods on a 3yr old samsung.
Love the idea
thank you
what do you do when you have
A: replaced the suspension rods, re calibrated the machine, and get a beautiful spin with the machine empty but as soon as you put 4 identical socks in the tub placed across from each other it starts to spin, gets to 7 minutes then the bottom of the drum wobbles out causing a UR/UB code? i am at a loss for words with this. the machine works flawlessly other than the spin cycle.
The drum is loose or damaged and needs to be replaced.
I have the same model washer and I replaced the rods about a month ago. It worked great for a couple weeks and now it goes unbalanced with every load, it doesn’t matter how much is on it. I ordered the suspension rods off of amazon for like $35. Did I get crappy quality or is there another explanation?
Cross reference you model number with the parts. Call 800-347-2745 and have model number ready. They have original parts
How did you put the clip back from the top? Since it’s all the way on the right. Referring to the back right side. The part of the video you didn’t show
I moved the tube to left with my left hand and snapped the clip back onto the shaft of the suspension rod with my right hand. I hope this helped
Will those suspension rods fit my Samsung WA456DRHDWR Top Loader 9.5kg Washing Machine? Are there four of them? Are the ones on Amazon a pack of 4?
To order the proper parts have your model number ready and call this number 800-347-2745
Call this number 800-347-2745 and have you model number ready
Thanks for the video.

What exactly goes wrong with the suspension rods? Springs get weak? Dampers go soft?
The springs just weaken. You'll start getting a ub (unbalanced) code on almost every wash. If you watch videos to diagnose, people will push down and it will bounce back like a 94 Civic with broken shocks. Mine wasn't nearly that noticeable. It just rocked to the sides like it was floating. It's just a rod with retaining cups on the top and springs with an inverse retaining cup on the bottom. The tub just floats on them.
A simpler way to replace those rods is to put something below the washe to push up the drum.
Great tip! 🙏🏼
Is there a way to confirm/check that the rods are damaged/faulty? I would hate to change these if they aren't really damaged.
Also, I didn't see on the video that you used any sort of lubricant (or white lithium) on the new rods? Is that necessary?
I do what i can.
Thank you for sharing
I've already changed the rods. Still banging with little to no clothe in the washer. ?
Same issue here. Does anyone know what else could be the issue or needs to be replaced?
Me too so frustrating dont know how to fix it.
My parts diagram shows two separate sizes for front and back. Would the universal ones work? DC97-16350S and 16350T?
follow the parts diagram

Awesome. would be great if you make a video and share . that is super cool
My husband did this and within 2 weeks it was getting unbalanced again, even with very small loads. What can we do to fix this?
OK, I've replaced the suspension rods and it's better, but still throws the off-balance error code about half the time. What is plan B?
make sure that the washer is level.
Calibrate the tub-you have to do this as part of the repair process
If you still have issues, take the lid off again pull the rods and add lithium grease.
You are fast!!
I want to know HOW TO REMOVE THE SPEAKER!!!
Thank you.

I’ve changed mine twice with new parts only lasted a month
I replaced the suspension rods but the washer atill have the same problem i may buy the oe rods
check to make sure it is not something else. If you can wiggle the outer tube, moving it separate from the inner tub than you have a different issue. if so remove the agitator plate and make sure the nut is not loose. also sometimes the inner drum can degrade and separate from its center . also Make sure the machine is level
I replaced the tension rods and it did nothing, still rattles heavily until it stops and starts over
Check to see what f you can wiggle the inner tub independently from the outer tub. Make sure the machine is level and use original samsung parts
Hello - i did this about 3 months ago the new rods lasted about a month anyone else? I bought them off Amazon 40 bucks the oem rods would cost me 270 plus shipping way too much- im now in the process of re- engineering a washer which in my opinion was a terrible design
I am sure everyone would love to benefit from your project. Please think about sharing a video of your process
I’ve replaced the suspension rods twice a temporary fix after a few loads goes unbalanced, did a X Y axis recalibration works for a few loads, unplugging for 5 minutes and the XY RECAL works for a few loads then becomes unbalanced again. Any suggestions
make sure the inner tub is not loose or separated from the shaft
We replaced original suspension rods with aftermarket “upgrade” rods recommended in another video, from Amazon. Drum was banging around again in no time. And when I try to find OEM, they are no longer available, and/or cost same price for one rod as for 4 aftermarket. So very frustrating. I’m never buying this brand appliance again.
Same with us. It’s absolutely garage!!

I've seen other videos of this repair where the rod ends were greased where they contact the washer, is this nessesary?
You should apply grease where needed
I replaced the rods but it gave a UB again. Any thoughts
Just replaced the rods and still throwing a unbalanced load code during the spin cycle as before...I saw you mentioned it could be that the inner tub has separated from outer tub. Is there any way to fix this or just bring the washer to the curb and get a new one. Thanks.
There is a nut under the washplate sometimes the inner tub metal corrodes and you have to replace the inner tub. Usually cost prohibitive
Get a new 1
Are the Amazon rods junk? I've done this twice using the ones from Amazon and both pretty much failed within a month. Or could it be something else?
@@StayConsistant CAll +1 (800) 347-2745 for the Samsung original parts. have you model number ready when you call. If you order from Amazon make sure that the part number matches your machines model number and choose the part that has the most 5 star reviews
Not only was my pressure switch hose clamped to the rear right rod, it is wrapped around it twice. What a pain in the neck. 3/4 done without an extra hand. Now need to wait for someone to get home to hold the drum and see how I can unwrap that nonsense with little room to work...

I replaced mine as well and still bangs... How ever, it maybe that I did not grease the new rods, so buying grease and tryng again...
Thanks for the vid, the back right torsion has a hose it needs to go back in like it was, right? and it shows you putting a few screws back in on the upper side of the back panel ( 3:51 ) ... why? it didn't show you taking them out. Thankx
I try my best, but when i make them on the job it is not as easy as in a film studio. Sometimes i miss a step
It should not move independently in any other way
I swapped mine and it went right back to bad. Bad rods? Need to rebalance? Thoughts? Prayers? lol
possible bad rods.
We changed these and it's still shaking back and forth on the spin cycle and refilling with water.
Check to make sure that the machine is level. there are feet in each corner that you can adjust to level it.

Glad it helped
Ive changed the rods. No more unbalancing, but now we are hearing a clicking noise when its spinning. What is that?
There maybe something stuck between the drums or under the agitator
My dryer power cord and outlet is not in the middle, it’s on the right
How do you clean that gooey stuff off your hands?
There are many different suspension rods, please be sure to compare to washing machine model number, installation should be very similar
true
Care should be taken pooping the console up. Mine popped up and ripped the plug out of the panel assembly. $300 later to replace it
Thank you for sharing. this is channel where we can all commnet and help each other learn.
Can it be the rods are bad even if the washer spins fine when it's empty?
Yes, sometimes it will only bang when it has a load in it. Usually you can test if the suspension is bad by pressing down on the drum and when you release it will bounce. The problem with the Samsung is that the new suspension rods are expensive
Mine has no phillip head screw drivers under the rubber pieces. :)
interesting , are there phillip’s head screws? , lol
