  • I recently found this raw/uncut video footage from the day I got the news I got my utility patent for the improved urinary catheter I designed and I'm not a doctor or even in the medical field. I worked for three-plus years and it finally happened.
I was by myself and wanted to capture the moment so I could refer back to it and remember what happens when you try and don't give up.
It's called The Range Of Motion Indwelling Urinary Catheter or ROM Catheter for short.
NOTE: I trademarked the name too.
My wish is that by sharing this video of the day I got the good news, it will inspire people to just try, to take a chance, to pursue a dream that no one else but you believes in.
    It's all about possibilities.
    Cheers to possibilities. Tony

Thank you for the vote of confidence. That is my hope also that the R.O.M Catheter will be a game changer and at the very least an available option to allow people to live a better quality of life while having to use a catheter. Cheers, and wishing you and your loved ones great health. Tony

Thank you! It was not easy to get the patent but it was not hard. A lot of time, perseverance, dedication, money, and knowing it would inevitably benefit so many people who find themselves with a catheter allowing them some semblance of normalcy. Now the next part is to convince the medical manufacturers of its viability to their bottom line and improvement to patient's quality of life. I'm determined to get this to market. Cheers, Tony

@PacificBlue51 Thank you so much! I've got quite a bit of work in front of me to get it to market (the barrier to entry is tough) but knowing it will help so many keeps me passionate to get it done. Cheers Tony

Great job tony!!!! I had one of those infernal things in me for 2 months. Now it’s time to benefit from your vision. You’ve done a great service. I’m sure your lawyers are guiding you how to be rewarded for your patent. Shark tank maybe? They would jump on this. You mentioned you couldnt afford a steak. Well i think now you will be able to. You deserve it. God bless you. You are amazing

@markv.5962 Awwww man...thank you for the kind words. It's the support from people like you and so many others who visit the channel, seeking some help/information on how to live with the archaic torture device, that keeps me going.
The goal of the new catheter was always to improve the quality of people's lives as so many find it debilitating and yes I will be able to afford more steaks some where in the future - attorney fees are no joke.
As I move forward, I am learning the barrier to entry is quite difficult due to health insurance reimbursements. Probably way the catheter has not changed much since its invention. We are talking pennies. To me, pennies to improve someones quality of life and allow them some normalcy in an already difficult situation is more than worth it.
Anyhow, I did think about Shark Tank but I don't know how I would show the efficacy of the catheter on TV....it might be too graphic. But you never know.
My patent attorney's have been incredible and now I have to retain attorneys that specialize in mergers and acquisitions. Maybe I should do some videos about all of this?
I do know I will continue to do everything in my power to see that the catheter gets to market.
Sorry for the long response.....my matcha kicked in LOL!
Again thank you for the kind words.
Cheers, and wishing you and your loved ones great health. Tony

I wish I had them already. So many people need them to bring some semblance of normalcy to their lives. Moving around and doing regular daily living activities with less pain will be a game changer. Just a little while longer as there's a whole process I have to go through still.
