That place you went to immediately reminded me, even before seeing it, as you were describing it, ....& the same color even....lol,...... of a place I first went to back East in Pa. in 1984 a few times, & then again, when I lived there for a year in Jun.1992 to Jun. 1993, ..... funny thing is - one of the reasons I went there was for the same reason you did & they had bunches of knives of all kinds. I just googled & the place is still there but no sign out front so don't know if the place is still operating, those cool places are so sadly disappearing, & after living in Nebraska for 31 years, I find such places non-existing & flea-markets all but......mid-western people like new stuff all the time, they can afford it & they don't AND don't care to know the value of things made in America, or any part of the rest of the world from back when people took pride & things were made to hand down, handing down, in the mid-west, is of no value - when raised with plenty of money & to be careless & wasteful. I could live on the money off the equipment they abuse, destroy, & then just park in the trees to rot. Thanks fer sharing & I appreciate your appreciation for longevity of quality.
