I’ve bought several new Case knives here lately and seeing everyone’s knives and hearing their complaints, I just expect them to be off and I get happy when they ain’t. I buy too many off of eBay so I never see them till they show up in the mailbox. Most of what I’ve gotten have been pretty good. I like that trapper. Wish it came to you better shape. That culpepper is sweet! It’s a pretty knife! I have one but I can’t think of what type of scales it has. I’ve packed it several times. They are good knives!

I'm glad to hear that you're finding some good Cases. I never have been much of an eBay shopper. I don't have anything against it, I just never have done it. There seems to be some pretty good deals on there if you're willing to hunt them down. But, that trapper will be a good user. I've got it sharpened and I'm not worried about it getting some dings and scratches. Thanks for watching, brother.😃👍🏻

I just bought the same knife a few days ago. The steel on mine was so soft I'm not sure if it was ever heat treated. It was so bad I just threw it away. No knock on Case. I have dozens of them and they all hold an edge. But that one...

And Case really needs to start hiring some people that have a true passion for pocket knives. Either that or just slow down on production rate…I can’t think of another knife company that advertises new knives as much as Case.

I hate to say it, but my 15 dollar rough ryder denim canoe from Amazon is much better in fit and finish than 75 dollar to 100 dollar Cases I own. Plus they have lots of cool new styles and materials all the time which you can try out and collect affordably. My RR glow in the dark half hawk is so much nicer than my Case sod busters. I used to think at least Case knives are an investment and will go up in value so it justifies the price. Outside of vintage ones, I am not so sure of that anymore. I am afraid newer ones aren't good as users or as collector items. Things seemed to have gotten better around 2020, then quality control diminished again. I have gotten bad ones in the mail. Would never get one sight unseen, and my local shop has slowly ended up having only old stock flawed ones with gaps blade rub etc. They have been gone through and not bought, and they stopped buying new ones feeling that nobody buys them anymore and they are no longer in demand. Truth is we picked the bones. Just my opinion, but we vote with our purchases.

I have several RR's from years ago that I really like. There are some new ones that are pretty nice but I just don't like that giant "R" on the bolster. Some of their special collections that don't have that on them have caught my eye but they're getting up around $40. I've recently gotten some very good deals on Bear and Son and USA made Kershaws. Gonna be looking for more of them!

You big dummy! You bought a Case knife? (Says the guy who has purchased 4 in recent times 😆). I’ve had trouble with them, too, most especially the newly engineered “Highbanks”. The only thing “High” about it was the price; piece of junk. My most recent Case knives arrived with good overall build quality, but all of them have been plagued with the common Case nuisance of dull blades. In my opinion, a new knife should be sharp right out of the factory, and ready to go to work! BTW, I usually stop for a visit at Heimerdinger’s Cutlery when I’m in your area. I’m up in Campbell County.

I've seen several folks having problems with the new Longhouse, too, with the lock failing under pressure. And just a whole lot of poor workmanship and lack of quality control. It's like everybody there is an apprentice. Campbell Co, eh? You're just up the road! Appreciate you watching and leaving a comment. THANKS!!😃👍🏻
