    The normal value about 3-7.5 kohm for ngk type with resistance..

    My car uses no Resistance plug, i put the settings to 20k♎, and they all read 0 including the new ones.. i dont understand.. 😢

      If it reads zero on 20K range, then gradually reduce the range on your ohmmeter to find the correct reading!

    I got no readings whatsoever 🤔

      Did you put the ohmmeter in the maximum range?

    For me
    It gives reading only if i touch 1 side
    Then other side must touch both pin and above it metal

    Good Evening . Thank you very much for this video. I want to ask you this: all spark plugs - no matter what brand or if they are NGK all types NGK new ones when the readings show the same ohmic resistance? E.G. the NGK (BKR6EQU), (6002) new how much should it read? New I had not measured it but at 54,000 kilometers when I changed them and measured them they show (4.16) k.
    Regarding all this, what is your opinion?
    Thank you .

    All info on Resistance SEEMS to be between 3 and 7.5 kilo ohms. You said it is between 4 and 14 kilo ohms. Would you be so kind and explain to us which one should we take as a reference? I managed to contact NGK Brasil because I bought one plug that is 9.3 kilo ohms and I was wondering if that was too high. They said it has to be between 3 and 7.5 and that there is probably something wrong w/the spark plug. Whats your opinion? Since you said 14 kilo ohms is fine Is it ok or is too high?

      As you said there are many different resistance values recommended by different manufacturers. There are champion spark plugs with 9k ohms resistance specifications. It all depends on the make and model!

      One with 4kohm is better, because they said it must bt testing 3-7 kohms

    Is spark plug with 3.48 kilo ohms good or bad to use on 1.4 gti engine

    • @TheAbJGarage
      @TheAbJGarage  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Depends on the model of the spark plug! Generally speaking the value you mentioned is good! The more the resistance, the less the interference!

    spark with no resetor how much it should be reading ohms ?

    Zero resistance for my non-resistor plug.... and zero resistance for a brand new replacement. There's a mistake here (NGK BP6ES for 2 Stroke 240V Generator)

    • @TheAbJGarage

      Those spark plugs usually have 1K Ohm resistance when brand new!

    It looks like there was no continuity on the 2nd spark plug which indicates it's a bad spark plug

    So which one is recommended the one with a resistor or the one without resistor?

    • @TheAbJGarage
      @TheAbJGarage  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      A spark plug with a resistor reduces electromagnetic interference (EMI) that can cause radio and TV interference, engine misfires, and other electronic malfunctions. The resistor reduces the amount of electrical noise that is generated by the ignition system.
      On the other hand, a spark plug without a resistor is designed to provide a stronger spark and better performance. These plugs are often used in racing applications where maximum performance is desired.
      A spark plug with a resistor is better for everyday driving and reducing EMI, while a spark plug without a resistor is better for high-performance applications.
