Ooh TH-cam suggestions were as on point with this as the orc was in his battle! I cannot wait to see where you go with these one on ones, but I am here for it!
Ive actually been wanting a series like this where you put two monsters against eachother in a fight. I would like to see a pit fiend vs a balor demon. The strongest devil in the monster manuel vs the strongest demon. Id also like to see how the fight could go differently were it that the goblin had a bow on hand to better pair Nimble Escape with pot shots. The result would likely be the same with how easily orcs can close the gap, but the dice are the dice.
Exactly and that big match up could be awesome. The dice make it everything, as while filming there's only so much I have control over. We'll see how these do. I have another one already filmed and scheduled. :) Thanks for enjoying
my brother introduced me to AD&D back in the day, i don't think it exists anymore but it was popular in japan cuz of TSI computer games, pool or radiance, curze of the zure bonds, silverblades, and pools of darkness. Are those campaigns part of the current DD lore?
Whereas typically you would be right, and also not mentioned in the video, but Goblins have Nimble escape, and so with a bonus action it could disengage and leave without provoking the attack of opportunity.
Why did you give the weaker monster less equipment from its stat block and the stronger monster more equipment? Goblins usually have a bow, scimitar, and shield with leather armor, whereas an orc usually only has hide armor, a greataxe, and some javelins.
I wanted to make them accurate to what the miniatures themselves represent. Since this was my first one too, I just wanted these simpler opponents too. I'm still learning the rules as I go.

Sweet, let's see where this ride will take us!
Ooh, I like the premise of this. 1 vs 1 arena combat with D&D rules? More of this please!
Hell ya!
I'm guessing this is the gobby's punishment for stealing. But what if he had won?
It'd be quite the underdog tale then and he'd tell it to all his gobby friends!

I like this idea for a video, not sure what combo to do next but wouldn't mind seeing what everyone else comes up with
Thanks Rita, these are fun to film as you never know where they'll go
Ha noice that's close to how I be battling my Action figures . Awesome bro 😎👍
cannot wait for kobolds to arrive!
Two kobolds, one goblin? So many duels to be had ;)

I have no idea if they are or how popular AD&D still is. Maybe someone in here will pitch in.
The orc should have had an attack of opportunity killing the 1hp goblin on hit.

Thanks for keeping an eye on things.
That is what happened and I should have made it more clear
