Thank you All for Watching! I just wanted to take a second to clarify something since it seems some people are getting the wrong idea, This video is NOT calling tesera a clone of hytale, instead I wanted to mention the claims that iv been seeing about the game being a clone due to the artstyle. I completely agree with the fact that they look very similar which I why I recommended that the devs rework the art to stray away from this claim. I’m not calling the game a clone of hytale, they just look similar, that’s all, and for all the people saying the game “can’t be a clone because hytale isn’t out yet” is slightly true but also not, while yes we don’t know what hytale will be like, the games been in development since 2015 and they have released some content that we will most likely see in the games full release, so while I don’t think the content in both the games are the same, if they did have the same content, I think it’s completely valid to call the game a “clone” or if you don’t like that term, “heavily inspired”, even if hytale is still being developed. But that’s irrelevant because that’s not a claim that I made! Anyway I hope you guys enjoyed!
Ironic to call it a clone when Hytale is not out yet, other than artstyle in itself this game is the precedesor of Hytale like gameplay and should be praised for at least delivering the whole idea of what Hytale hasn't delivered yet.
Just because it isn’t out yet doesn’t it can’t be copied or a clone, especially when hytale has been in development since 2015, and I’d hardly say they deliver the “whole idea” of what hytale hasn’t, the game doesn’t have much content at all, which I don’t mean in a bad way at all, the game is in a early access web demo, and I don’t agree with calling the game a complete clone because that’s just baseless, if that was the case than any sandbox survival game with low poly graphics would just be Minecraft clones, like you said the main “reason” people are calling this game a clone is the artstyle. And that’s really the only point I agree with, other than that I really can’t wait to see what else they plan add to the game to make it their own unique venture! I already like many of the unique features like backpacks/belts, bunkers and procedurally generated bridges and settlements.
@GoldenYT01 there is no copy right claims happening so it's just another blocky game you ppl just say anything that looks similar is a rip off a clone and then u wonder why no one wants to make fun games bc ppl like cry no matter what comes out
@@deathswurd6403just because there aren’t copyright claims doesn’t mean it can’t be a clone, which I’m not saying it is btw, look at all the Minecraft clones that still exist so I’m also not calling the game a clone necessarily, maybe watch the entire video? That always helps, I simply said that the artstyle is very similar to hytale and for that reason people are calling it a clone, and I agree that the game loooks very similar,
The extreme wait has apparently inspired people to take maters in their own hands, I can only applaud that, they got tired of waiting, took action, and it had an impressive result. The only drawback is that even tho they wanted it to not be Hytale they aren't doing much to disprove it. Perhaps in the future it'll diverge, I hope so. 'the style is similar due them using the same software for their low polly modeling' Yeah about that, as a 3D artist ... I smell bullshit 🤣 but hey it looks nice so not complaining.
Yeah I’m no 3D artist but they were apparently using some low poly web 3D modeler that apparently Minecraft also used too, so it’s really not much of a excuse, also if it really is hard to make it look different then a easy fix is to use any other software.
I've always wondered why we never get more games like minecraft. I mean there are tons of fps games, street fighter games etc but only one minecraft like game. Minecraft is like a game with its own genre that no other game has
I honestly can’t tell if your being 100% serious about that or just joking since games like terraria, total miner, and vintage story are pretty much the same genres as Minecraft. Not to mention the tons of clones
Ok ok, I see what you mean, I was a just a little confused by what you meant by genre, yeah I guess Minecraft is in it’s own league when it comes to sandbox survival games
This game looks promising but when Hytale comes out, I feel like it'll get overshadowed. Unlike some people, I'm glad the devs are taking their time with the game. There's no reason to be impatient. I'll play it whether it comes out tomorrow or in 5 yrs. I am concerned that if they take much longer, people will just refuse to play it because it took too long. Alternatively, the fact that it's taking so long could cause a massive spike in hype when it comes out.
Yeah I completely agree, most likely this game will be forgotten when hytale comes out, and people being really impatient is incredibly annoying, just goes to show they don’t understand game development and would rather have a half baked product than a fully fleshed out game, hytale may be quite right now but that doesn’t mean they aren’t hard at work, and they even mentioned in their summer blog post that they had created a brand new engine specifically designed for hytale, which takes a long time as you can imagine. Not to mention onboarding their employees onto the engine which also would take awhile for them to adjust!
I found this one Reddit user who appears to be a dev of Tesera. Regarding the art looking like Hytale's, he said: "We were working hard to distance our style from vanilla mc, but when you do something high-quality in BlockBench it naturally looks like Hytale, now we have to think:, do we work forward to distance from hytale or maybe just let it look like this?"
Iv been having a ton of fun playing vintage story recently, they did a great job at setting themselves apart from the rest, they really are in a league of their own when it comes to survival games
Completely unrelated to the video itself, but a Minecraft style crafting system that still uses craft times like Ark, Rust, or any other similar survival game, has gotta be the weirdest system ever. I don't think anybody is going to walk into this game and be cool with that timer. Obviously if you play games that have craft times it won't bother you, but for MC players who see the voxel style and go "I wanna try this game" those times are gonna get very annoying very quickly. Jus a small pet peeve I found when watching
Yeah to be honest I didn’t really pay it much mind since I have played quite a few games with craft times, but now that you mention it, it’s actually really unnecessary and doesn’t add anything to the crafting system, especially since the crafting times usually require a few seconds per item your crafting, it does just feels like a unnecessary waste of time.
Hytale doesnt even have a release game, its also in development hell. a.k.a. we don't even know how the game will turn out. This video, is unnecessary.
This isn’t about hytale, This video is about mostly about tesera and I was simply comparing the artstyle to hytale’s and how some people are calling it a clone because of how similar they look, while also pointing out the problems with tesera, if anything is unnecessary it’s your comment😁
Exactly, everybody’s so adjusted to getting rushed products that come out before the game is even finished and require another update in 4 months to have a actually finished polished product, a unfinished kills the game and people stop playing them before they are actually ready, and it’s not even like they aren’t working on it, they literally created a whole new engine to truly make the game they wanted to make.

Great video, I've just recently discovered this game, but it's good to see more videos discussing it :)

We're finaly getting hytale before hytale

@@GoldenYT01 I'm not sure how to describe its genre cuz I think it's more unique than just sandbox survival. It's more like sandbox++ lol

Yeah sure someone saw this web demo game that nobody really knows about and goes around Reddit pretending to be the dev of that game🤯🤯🤯
That quake 3 fov is sickening
It’s a problem, any game with fov must be maxed out😅😅😅
Seems like they borrowed some ideas from Vintage Story, such as the backpacks
Iv been having a ton of fun playing vintage story recently, they did a great job at setting themselves apart from the rest, they really are in a league of their own when it comes to survival games
Next video up is "Hytale the minecraft clone?!"
Don’t give me ideas😂😂😂

Nothing to clone cause Hytale aint out yet
Except for when it’s been in development since 2015, yes something can still be cloned even if it’s not out yet
good summary and documentation
Thank You!
Ypu cant be a clone of something that doesnt even exists.
And where did you get that?
but it does exist it's just not out yet for you to play

hytale isn't in development hell.
They are not rushing it.
That's why there is no release date yet.
@@nokodjieverybody wants a half baked product for some reason😂😂😂

True, and when they get it early, they just cry about how it's not good or missing things.
