The FASTEST Dodge Charger in the World (Not what you'd expect!!)

- If you thought the fastest Charger in the world would be a Hellcat like we did, you're wrong! AJ and the team at Hemi Tuner Performance Hellcat swapped this 2006 Dodge Charger and slapped a massive blower on top! (and a little spray) We were lucky enough to see this thing in action at SCT Bradenton. Even though there's blower sticking out of the hood and some big tires on the back of this thing, you still wouldn't expect it to move out the way it does!

That sound from modern Mopars still has that distinct tone that takes you right back to the 60s & 70s at the drag strip.

Props to them for setting the record with a true Hemi. Would be much cheaper to go those times with a LS. Glad to see it done right
Love seeing Hemis in drag mopars. Same goes for Ford & Chevy
when it goes wrong, LS is always the replacement answer lol, I'm a ford guy and have learned over time, if I want to break it, I can do so cheaply with a 5.3, throw my heads back on it, slap my megasquirt back on it and go right back down the track. amazing what can be made with a stock bottom end.

Man I love this body style. It's crazy to think it's classic. Some say it's ugly but I find it looks just fine. Other than that steering wheel.
My favorite is the 2011-2014 muscle body

These looked fine if they were adult owned and not clapped out.. I loved my 2011 burnt orange with a headlight update, but my 15 ralley does seem to handle better and that 8speed trans is all the difference
@@theaterlightman89 I've got a 2018 f8 green rt challenger black top edition with coil overs and tubular control arms with poly bushings. Handles great for its weight.
My '07 Charger SXT has the same wheel without the buttons, and I honestly think it looks better than this one...I'd always be worried I'd hit a button as I'm turning or something.
Imagine running an 8.12 without Nitrous and still looking like a street car!

What's NOT to love here? It's NOT a Hellcat, but it's quicker and faster than a Hellcat!! A true sleeper (except for the sound of course).....
And the rear wheels... Imagine pulling up next to him and looking at the rear tyres being 2 times fatter than your car. I would be like nope, I aint going head to head with that.
A 2006 red rt was my first purchase as an adult in 2013. 8 years later I purchased my 2021 widebody 392. I still miss my first car!!!

My 06 RT project car weighs in at 3600 with slight mods for reduction and full interior, vs Cats pushing 4400.

4:18 i'm not familiar with Dodge platform but, how does it launch so effortless off the line? doesn't even look like the rear squatted at all. i'm amazed at how stable it is at the launch and down the track. so damn smooth.
It’s a very well tuned in irs. Not sure what what he’s running with the back braced dif looks like adjusting pan hard bar or swap bar or something
It has a billet rear end and thiccc meats in the rear with a good tune that puts more boost past 100ft. Anything like that will run straight as an arrow
This Dodge/Chrysler platform uses a Mercedes independent front and rear drivetrain minis the motor.
I'd imagine he has few of their parts left with a bunch of billet/bracing in their place

AJ is the man. He has been the best modern Hemi Tuner from the beginning and was even hired to tune for some NHRA Pro Stock teams and get them up to speed when they went to EFI a few years back.

It's taken over 100 years of development to get that speed from a stock gas car. Tesla has achieved that speed in less than ten. Imagine the next 90 years.
