this makes me really sad. I was sent a birthday package by my ex in january- usps told me it was delivered to my workplace- it wasnt I looked everywhere to find it. He passed away in May and I will never know what was sent.

You can legally buy mail that does not belong to you?!?! That is INSANE to me.
Packages are not technically mail, so yeah. Its why if something gets shipped to you and not the person it was for companies will straight up tell you to keep it as packages do not fall under the same protections of mail.
It's kind of weird to me. Like someone unboxing a stranger's mail on TH-cam. Gives me creepy/illegal vibes.
Some are not legit and likely stolen if not auctioned by usps. Some USPS employees were busted for operating side businesses if "lost" packages.
@@taneshahays9646 I think it depends on the company what they will ask you to do, but yeah, they don't have any legal way to make you send them back.
Like I was working in a call center before and I only had one person ever call because they received someone's order with a separate packing slip and everything. I was told I should ask her to send that order back with a note on the packing slip that it went to the wrong place if it wasn't to inconvient for her.

I've worked for USPS for years now. The only thing that USPS directly liquidates that I'm aware of is lost items that no longer have their origanal packaging. They are sorted into categories, then sold by the pallet.
Selling off packages with addresses still on them is 100% not something USPS can do.
It could be stuff that was returned to the vendor, then the vendor turned around and sold it, or it could be a scam.

I am waiting for 2 months... the package is not delivered but it says "delivered". I am so frustrated. Nobody can tell me where it is because i am from germany. What can i do?
From someone who just went through a nightmare with sending a return to Amazon, USPS saying it was delivered and Amazon saying they don't have it and haver tons of emails, chats and calls and Amazon customer service being condescending with me.... This hits differently.
First box I thought used stuff was person-to-person. But later boxes made me think they were opened, used and returned to sender.
THIS HAPPENED TO last year me and it was a really expensive item 😖 we actually ended up finding it when we went to the local mail recovery center
@@hopescope My aunt lived on a CT, but there was an LN nearby with the same name that used to get her stuff. The lady opened it and decided she didn't want baby clothes so called my aunt to pick it up.
I’ve literally had USPS dispose of 2 limited edition plushies i ordered because they said they couldn’t deliver it and thought they were food items… i got refunded by the company but i was so mad considering they always deliver my mail but somehow couldn’t find my apartment to deliver these packages.
@@hopescope this was my first ever return and after what I’ve went through, probably the last one. The only reason why I have kept pushing it’s because they were a quite expensive pair of shoes that sadly were a tad too big on me. They ended up refunding me yesterday but I still submitted a claim for a search of the package. I hope Amazon gets them back so they’d finally understand why I got so mad when they sent me an email saying that they’ll process my refund and didn’t need me to send the item and I could do whatever I wanted to do with it like donating, selling, etc. I was like, “how!?! I mailed them on February 10th to you”… oh well!

its not worth it. The sheer quantity of packages Amazon and other retailers ship virtually guarantee that the items you get will be low value items.

I had ordered a lip gloss from China & they told me my package was lost. They gave me a refund & told me if I received it, that it was a gift. I actually received it yesterday & I was so happy. I hope that the people with lost packages all get a refund. Have a great day!!!!😊🌸💕✨🌿
My bro played those virtual claw machines some time back and he won a couple plush Pikachus. A couple of them didnt arrive after like 3 month and they gave him game credit... the very next day they showed up on our door lol

@@emachine310 Similar thing happened to me, I ordered a fleshlight for my husband and it didn't arrive. I got a refund and 3 days later an old Chinese man arrived in an envelope through my door. We kept him and named him Henk. Henk often joins us at parties and events, but tends to shit himself when he gets too excited :(

This reminds me---My doc's office called me 2 weeks ago to tell me the mail service lost my tests, never made it to the lab.....it was a routine "lady parts" discharge swab. I've been living every day in uncomfortable horror about where it ended up.

Isn't it crazy how people can say "made my day" and be happy when some one said they been living every day with hurt and pain, but people say and show how disgusting they are. Quite mean and rude, to be soo happy in another's person's troubles and sadness. Quite sick.

The thing I do not understand about "lost" packages is like.... the address is still on there? Should they not just keep trying to deliver it? Why are they allowed to give up?

Well most places only keep their stuff for 30-60 days some even where I am only 18 so if no one comes to collect it or re deliver the package it’ll be sent back to the seller to either sell again or to auction/liquidation if the seller doesn’t want it. Kinda cool but shit if you’re expecting something 🙈🙈
Probably because these all fake. As Hope said, someone just packaged them or bought a bunch of stuff to sell for a high price.
I don’t get that part either!! I had a package I was trying to return end up there one time. We had to go pick it up and I was so confused.. my address and the sellers was right on the label! Laziness on amazons part I think

the sad thing is that the tiny little pouch with jewelry in the pink bubble mailer was probably from a small business. i just find it sad bc the sender probably had to send a new one to the person who was supposed to receive it
Yeah but when you send it through USPS, they cover up to $50 per package if they lose it
@ariistra195 That's only if you ship Priority mail. And they may or may not honor the claim. USPS has broken many items that I have sold, and they refused to reimbursed me unless the customer took the package to their local post office. I would never ask a customer to do that after they have already sent me photos of the broken item, so I end up refunding them and losing the money. 😒

Most of these "lost package" sellers aren't actually selling lost packages. It's just cheap stuff they've bought, repackaged with fake labels and marketed to get people to buy them

@@tulips7465 because she says in the video that she paid the equivalent of almost $30 per package. All someone has to do is buy a bunch of crap and repackage. Easily profit $2000 or more.
@@tulips7465 People (and TH-camrs) love the mystery thing with the possibility of getting more than they paid. I watched a TH-camr unbox one of these and then realize the shipping labels were printed as blacked-out labels and there were only three variations of them, but they were identical.
Absolutely; you can see it from the repeat items in different boxes...
I appreciate that you still upload the videos where things don't work out very well. It's realistic and shows that you don't always hit it big with these kinds of things.

Or she may have simply deduced that it was a fake just by looking at it. But either way, LV may have the prestige associated with the name, but Halston makes quality pieces!

When you mail a package to someone put the person’s full name and address INSIDE of the package too. Put clear tape over the addresses (to and from) so if the package gets wet the addresses are still legible. Use heavy duty clear tape or duct tape to wrap the package. At a Usps facility your package could end up at the bottom of a postal container with heavier packages landing on top. This is the major reason packages break open. Each distribution center has a Rover station that can put back together your broken package. But that will not help if you cannot still read an address on the package or find an address inside.

I got a 10 items for $155.00 and received small Xmas tree ornaments, etc... maybe worth 25.00 all total. They should ask age group for boxes.

I feel the way these packages still have the addresses on them albeit crossed out in sharpie is super sketchy like this is where stolen packages end up after getting taken and sold.
That would be a federal crime. So you've solved the beginning where they explain to you how theyou can you have a have a male center where undeliberal mail goes. Those people got refunds or they got a new package sent out it happens all the time. Pay attention
@@ramonesgirl1 I paid attention to the beginning and didn't hear a clear definition of where each item xcame from and how it was proven. Just playing "devil's advocate" here bc of my items all disappearing over last spring/ early summer and then I started seeing these types of videos and wondering if there could be a connection. NOT with the person filming/ staring in this video...with people handling mail because I definitely did NOT get refunds nor replacements for everything and I lost a job as well as a reviewing position from a company that sent me high end skin care / makeup items for my reviews. Those don't get re sent and you get kicked out for not reviewing etc.

This was the first time I've watched your channel. The title, "I bought 100 lost mail packages", caught my eye. Some of the packages were "unclaimed or lost", but I would agree with you, most of them were "returns". It's amazing to me how many people will wear, apply, consume, break, ingest, burn, utilize, use, partake, or destroy what they bought, and then return it and expect a full refund.
Not just expect a refund, they get it! The waste here is extreme.
Those people make me sick. They just cost others more money because the company makes us pay higher prices. So those of you who use things and return them, bad KARMA to you

I don’t understand how something that still has someone’s personal address can end up as “lost mail”. I would suspect those items were actually porch pirated and sold by the thieves.

We used to buy pallets of merch and random stuff not knowing the value and it was sooo exciting!! But omg some people order such weird things lol. A lot of it wasworthless, some of it we had no idea what it even was and it came with absolutely nothing so I could look it up. We lost money a few times and other times we gained. It was just fun and exciting the surprise element. Unfortunately since I've gotten sick and unable to work, we haven't been able to do these things and times are hard. I would give absolutely anything to be healthy again and get back to my business and life. I truly miss doing things like this.

I would cry if any of my orders from fashionphile gets lost. Yes they are authentic, and have authentication. So far I have never had that experience, I hope I never do but my heart breaks whenever I hear/watch a youtuber orders something from fashionphile and they get lost, cuz like bruh you spent so much money and time searching for it then it gets lost. But I must say that the first box from fashionphile, it doesn't seem like anything from fashionphile at all, it seems like the box was just being recycled and sold the bad from poshmark or something. Just my 2 cents. I could be wrong lol the second package was kinda sus too lol
