That lipstick looks great on you!! Don't ever feel like you have to apologize for wearing something different, or eating pizza with fork and knife, or not going only to genuine French cafés in Paris. You are perfect just the way you are!
“If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever you go for the rest of your life, it stays with you, for Paris is a moveable feast,” -Ernest Hemingway. Happy birthday Ruby, this video was beautiful
I just love how you and your sister are so different and yet so similar (at least it feels like that) and how your parents seem to embrace your individuality. And I love your lipstick! And yes to more travel vlogs!
Ruby, I am one year older than you and, in a way, I feel like you have been my friend for many years and it's very comforting to know there is someone going through this journey of growing up simultaneously. I'm always so excited to see how gracefully you are going forward in life. I wish you all the tea, honey, flowers and success in life. Happy belated birthday !
I went to university in Paris and still go there regularly. I'm really happy that you enjoyed our capital city, as a born and bred Francilian, it is nice to hear nice things bout the place.
That shade of red lipstick look lovely on you! Also, as someone living in a third world country with terrible economy and no hopes of ever travelling: please take this amazing opportunity you have ruby.
You can live in Paris, Ruby! You have really set your life up so far in a way that you have the freedom to do so. Living abroad and immerse yourself in a new culture is wonderful and I do recommend it to anyone who has the means to. When nothing is holding us back we should expand our experiences
I think it’s so amazing how, living in Europe, we can just easily hop on a train or a bus and go to so many different countries. So many different cultures, languages, histories and cuisines, and just a few hours away. 🥰
Absolutely agree! We are so lucky to be born in Europe at this time, where the boarders are open and you can live where you want in relative peace. I'm so thankful for living within the EU without it it would have been much harder, and you can see it already in the post brexit UK, it's much harder now to visit and live in the UK unfortunately in comparison to other countries in the EU.
Very much agree with what you said about how the places we are have effects on us... I was born in Paris and lived there for 35years until i moved to Normandy 6 months ago.I saw Paris change so much over the years and didn't feel quite as happy and myself in it anymore so I was excited to leave actually. It's only now 6 months later that I'm started to miss my beloved old city (espeically after your video😅) but I'm now excited to go back every now and then and just enjoy what i love about the city without all the negative things that the daily life in Paris can bring. Happiest belated birthday Ruby and thanks for that lovely video ❤️
Hii!! I recently posted a cute real time study with me video! I also have other aesthetic school related vlogs! Maybe you will like it? I’m very excited to know your opinion ☺️ let me know what you think! Have a great day🌷
This has been my favourite video of yours, Ruby. It was cool to see your parents and sister in the background. It would be lovely to see you all exploring more European cities.
Thank you for sharing your trip with us. You looked wonderful and it really felt like you took the time to appreciate and embrace a new place. I also love the fact you still brought in education and shared facts with us. Almost feels like it wouldn't be a Ruby video without this! Something I hope you will continue to do while you still share videos with us :)
this reminded me of the first time I went to Paris, absolutely loved it. I think the shine came off a bit on subsequent trips but still love the architecture and aesthetic of the city
Ruby, it’s so heartwarming to see how much you’ve grown through the years - I’ve been watching you for about 4 years now and growing by you has been a pleasure ! Looking forward to the years to come as well :) and of course, happy belated bday! (That lipstick looked amazing on you btw!)
Many of us are vicariously living life through you . I’m myself took a different path got married at 17 not long after had children on and on so I never got to have this. So what a joy it is to see the world through your eyes❤️
the video was amazingly well done and i would love to see more content like that from you! i like how ruby embraced a new culture instead of trying to bring her own culture to a new place
I’m doing such a fun day today. Today, I’m doing a job I think you would get excited about. Today, I’m starting to turn our junk room into a study/library! I’m so excited! It needs to still have room for when people come to stay, but I’m have a whole library wall . So excited!!!!!
Oh that smile on your face! I recognize it, I had the exact same expression when I visited Paris and I have never been that happy ever since 💕 you look ravishing and rocked that red lipstick 💄 You have such a lovely family, it makes my heart melt
Hi Ruby! It sounds like you spent your birthday in a way which you will always remember! It's beautiful to see how traveling throughout the world can change people's perspectives on things. I would love to see more vlogs like this!
Paris is absolutely amazing! I had the exact same feeling that it was talked about soo much that I thought I'd be disappointed if those expectations were not met but I was pleasantly surprised by the beauty of paris. I'm usually more of a beach side vacation type person, but paris is definitely one of my fave places.
I absolutely loved this type of travelling vlog! Its such a wonderful thing to be able to experience a place, arquitecture and culture through you video. I had been seen your videos for years now, and it makes me so happy to see your growth. It really inspires me, as Im also finishing my degree more sooner than later. Thank you!!
living alone abroad is such a wonderful life experience and opportunity for personal growth. do something everyday that puts you out of your comfort zone! great things were never made in the comfort zone!
That was a delightful vlog, Ruby. I loved watching it, especially as it sent me down the tunnel of time to 1969 when I spent 10 days there as a student with a friend. I remember it being very hot at the time and it was impossible to find anywhere to sit and rest and take in the view without having to pay, so, being impoverished students, we did most of our sitting down in whichever church we happened to come across because they were free. Everyone is different but I would certainly recommend taking any chance offered to travel and see new places. The memories will always stay with you. 🙂
I haven’t watched your videos in a while, Ruby. And I feel really bad. But seeing you again and knowing that you are living your best life makes me a lot happier for you. I grew up with you since I subscribed to your channel like 6 years ago and it feels really good. Actually, it’s like meeting an old friend. You inspire me to be my best self and I thank you for that. Happy 22nd birthday, Ruby! Stay gorgeous and magical. Love you always❤️
A watershed video I think Ruby. I sensed a move away from strict study to freedom to explore the world and life. One of your great videos I think. Take care.
I adore videos like this! Traveling or not, whether you have filmed footage or even just photos, I love chattier videos where you just bring us through what you get up to :) I'm glad you had such a lovely birthday!
Watching a new place, even if it is a village will always excite you and make you rethink situations in your life and help you with decisions. I think it is the part of traveling that everyone loves so much. How your eyes sparkle and how it allows you to view new things and makes you think about you, your life and what you want
Omg happy birthday! I have been watching your videos since years and I finally moved to Paris 3 years ago and now you are here too! I am much older than you but I got inspired to study and work hard to fulfill my Parisian dream so I hope you get the chance too :D it's nice here (if you speak french ;) )
What a video and what a memento of such a special time with your precious family, Ruby. I love how you all dressed so beautifully and and how you are all have your own style. You clearly love each other so much. The video was edited so well and so carefully. It must have taken you so long. I recall you saying you couldn't live in a city - but, Ruby, it depends which city you choose. You seem so free now you've completed your degree and it's truly time for some new adventures. I'm so grateful you took the time and care to share this sojourn. ps I bet Martha was astonished and impressed at your choice of lipstick. She looked as stunning as ever. xxxx
I moved to Paris for my Master's Degree and my PhD 17 years ago. And I haven't moved to another city ever since. Sometimes I feel tired of the city but then I simply go for a stroll and the beauty of Paris does its magic all over again, right away. I'm glad and touched to see that you liked it here, especially as so many people critize it every day. I feel like they miss out the real soul of the city and it hurts a bit.
Omg..best video ever...thank you for sharing with us all....I've been watching from a far for a while now and its been fun watching you grow with your life...and you can tell you were raised with kindness and love..and nice morals...great to see in this crazy world...I tip my hat to your parents
Such a lovely new video you shared. At first i was like" oh this is gonna be a regular vlog of Paris" but it turned out to be thought-provoking and joyful at the same time. Quite perfect. New scenaries, people, places; all and all bring a new chance in our lives. Any kinda of video of you would bring a new experience in my life at least. Wish you a very very happy birthday.
Ruby, I have been following you for years and I love seeing how you’ve grown into such a beautiful and mature young lady. I feel so happy when you’re happy. Your videos give such optimistic and wholesome vibes and they inspire me to do so much better. Thankyou and do keep growing
Love this travel blog. It's been on my 'Watch Later' list so I'm using this grey, damp Sunday to catch up. Paris is beautiful in spring. The lipstick wasn't brash and would have probably gone unnoticed by me, your outfits are tremendous. La Closerie des Lilas, 171 Boulevard du Montparnasse, 75006 Paris, used by Simone de Beauvoir, Jean-Paul Sartre, Man Ray, Oscar Wilde, Ernest Hemingway, and F. Scott Fitzgerald along with others is where I sit for a few hours with my Montblanc 149, note book and observe, soaking in the history and the present. Keep posting these travel blogs.
The last time I was in Paris, my daughter was a toddler, so I’m afraid I didn’t get to see much above 4 feet unless she was in her stroller! 😂 Thank you for inviting us along, and Happy Belated Birthday. 💜
Such a lovely video and beautiful words over the gorgeous scenery of Paris - I'm so glad you had a wonderful trip and birthday! I visited Paris just over a month ago, and had such an incredible time, and I'm already looking forward to returning hopefully soon! I can also imagine myself living in the city in the future, and I think it would be such a special place to call a home. ❤️🇲🇫
What a great birthday gift: a trip to Paris. I can see you living there. I think you dad would fit in there too. He seemed so comfortable in all the video clips of him. Heck, maybe your whole family could move there! LOL !! Congratulations on graduating from University. Wishing you all the best -- in whatever you do.
Happy birthday, Ruby!! Thank you for sharing this lovely trip! I'm so happy you had such a beautiful time with your family. Personally, I would love to see other vlogs of your travels! I love what you said about travel changing perspective; though I've traveled before in my life, I started doing so in earnest about five years ago when I studied abroad in France. Since then, I've lived in Italy (1 year) and in France (7 months) teaching English, and have been home (Missouri, USA) the past couple of years (since the pandemic hit). While I love living at home and have since discovered/rediscovered things close to home, there is a part of me that misses traveling, that sense of discovery and of getting pushed out of your comfort zone and rediscovering the small pleasures of golden afternoons and quiet coffees (though I think traveling has helped me come to a new appreciation of those things, and more, here at my home as well). In some ways, I also feel a bit stagnant, at least compared to what it was like whilst living abroad. I'm hoping to teach English abroad again.
"hyperaware of beauty" that's exactly how I felt like when I first came to Paris to study 6 years ago ; I still live there and still love the city, even though I also really like going back to my countryside often. I'm glad you enjoyed your time there, hope you'll come back to visit the million places you still need to see ❤️
Hahaha I love your video ! As a french person I'm not a huge fan of Paris but I like seeing the city through foreign perspective, it's so much nicer 🥰 if you come live in Paris for a while don't forget to visit the south of France ! It's really nice too 😁😘😘
Happy 22nd birthday Ruby! Thank you for sharing this trip with us, it's such a beautiful video! With your thoughts on the voice-over and the fun scenes, it feels as if we're there.☀I'd love to see your other travels, looking forward to see what you're up to this year!
Many happy returns, Ruby - at this time of life, if you want to take an opportunity or pursue a dream, seize it! Living abroad is a huge undertaking, but if you don't try, you'll never know and may ever regret not having tried. Push those boundaries and find yourself: not just as you are but as you could be.
Marvellous film, Ruby. What a magnificent birthday you had. I am thrilled for your extraordinary birthday blessings in the most beautiful city in the world.
Happy Birthday Ruby Granger , no words to express how you motivate us . happy 22 to you .in these 7 years on TH-cam you have really motivated us a lot thanks for that
Loved this video and would love to see more travel vlogs! I'd really recommend visiting Edinburgh to you - it's the first UNESCO world city of literature and it really is a booklover/writer/history enthusiast's haven!
I watched this today and it was really nice. Ruby was saying just a couple video's ago how she's not a city girl, and how even Exeter was too much city for her, and now she's saying she wants to live in Paris. Why not I guess.
Ruby I absolutely LOVED this video, especially your voice overs, the part where you were talking about growing up made me tear up, I love the way you say things!
That lipstick looks great on you!! Don't ever feel like you have to apologize for wearing something different, or eating pizza with fork and knife, or not going only to genuine French cafés in Paris. You are perfect just the way you are!
❤️❤️❤️
The genuine ones are so expensive amyways
@@milacruz3970 in my experience not though
It’s cute when ruby is saying she feels much older to be 22 instead of 21.
“If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever you go for the rest of your life, it stays with you, for Paris is a moveable feast,” -Ernest Hemingway. Happy birthday Ruby, this video was beautiful

I just flew in yesterday for my own vacation, and I hope you know I think it’s lovely as well!

I live in Paris and honestly, day-to-day life had made me forget about the beauty of this city so thank you for reminding me of it!😊
I think it’s so amazing how, living in Europe, we can just easily hop on a train or a bus and go to so many different countries. So many different cultures, languages, histories and cuisines, and just a few hours away. 🥰
it's the best!
it is absolutely beautiful ❤
We beat the Americans hands down haha x
Damn I live in Canada and I’ve always envied you guys for that 😭

That lipstick suits you so well! Good to see you trying new things
Please vlog all your travels from now on, this was a really nice vlog and I particularly enjoyed hearing your thoughts on everything!
Aww Ruby I’m so happy for you! You always work so hard so I love seeing you being able to enjoy trips like this as well 🥹🧡
The blues and lights over the bridge opened something in me. I can imagine how beautiful it was in person. 💙
I really enjoyed this travel diary. I think you should continue making such content. Waiting for your future solo trips.

Jaywick?
You and your sis are like the sun and the moon, so cute!
I watched this today and it was really nice. Ruby was saying just a couple video's ago how she's not a city girl, and how even Exeter was too much city for her, and now she's saying she wants to live in Paris. Why not I guess.
how magical to spend your birthday in Paris ✨️❤️ and I definitely agree that the space that you're in affects the person that you are 🌿🌸
The piano music in the background is so nice
Lipstick looks fab on you! Overall it's good to see you being happy and relaxed!
I miss Paris so much and the River cruise is the best!
Hope you enjoyed your birthday, Ruby. 🌻
I really enjoyed this format - you, vlogging, travelling. If you're going to travel in the future, please make vlogs from it :)
Ruby I absolutely LOVED this video, especially your voice overs, the part where you were talking about growing up made me tear up, I love the way you say things!
