It is two almost two years since I watched a video of yours for the first time. I'm from the Southern Italy, and seeing a person I admire enjoying places I've been to since I was a child, just as the sea, that looks so familiar to me, or the view itself, that I got used to experiencing waking up during my summer holidays, filled my heart with joy.

Reading recommendation for the region you're in (albeit in translation) has to be Elena Ferrante's Neapolitan Quartet. I'm not as taken with it in terms of literary merits as many reviewers seem to be but from the perspective of wanting a gripping multi-decades saga type of a read that deals with issues of female lives and friendship in postwar Naples, it's great.
Hello Ruby, what a gorgeous view! it's been a dream of mine to visit Tuscany with my daughter....someday soon i hope. Also I wanted to let you know that I just completed my final *ever* research paper for a class for my PhD. Well aside from dissertation that is, but that's next year's problem! Even so the paper was around 40 pages... I've been working on 8 papers this finals season but thankfully that was the last major paper, everything else is smaller assignments. Anyway please know that your study with me and essay videos really helped me get through this past week. It's been rough and I almost pulled an all nighter on this last.... Not going to lie, very very tired by this point. But I'm off to work on my next assignment due tonight. Wish me luck! xo

ahh italy is so beautiful! and also if you want to travel somewhere else in the future, turkey is such a great country to visit. i really like mediterranean countries and turkey is really spectacular with its history and natural beauties. btw it's so cheap :") (not for the ppl from turkey)
About the tea bags, I go way overboard because I take a little bag of tea bags plus a small electric kettle everytime I go to a hotel. That's how serious I take my tea. lol

I’ve got an insane week ahead : Tuesday:pick up medication, go to a friends house as taking her to get her dogs groomed (her husband recently passed away so we support the family) Wednesday:clean the car out and pack bags for our holiday. Clean the bathroom and change bed linen Thursday:load the car, hoover the whole bungalow , catch up with our neighbours(the house sitters) batch cook food to take for journey (pasta salad, veggie tray bake) Friday: holiday !!!! Going to the Norfolk broads in a lodge for 8 days

I’ve got very mixed feelings about it, I must say. I love the book for the writing, the insight into human experience, the love between elio and Oliver - but I don’t like reading the sexually explicit parts. I think they have to be there for the book to work (and to show that neither has shame around the other), but I don’t enjoy reading those sections. I think the overall effect of the book, and Aciman’s poetic writing, make it worth it though x
