📝 Have you written a book? My life goal is to be a published author and make a living from writing and I am using this year to gain experience, build up a portfolio and work on a book with my agent. I have just finished the final draft of that book, as you can see in this video. I did self-publish a book about bullying when I was seventeen which is available on Amazon (amzn.to/3mdJKLm), but I'm slightly embarrassed by it now!

I think a really cute idea would be if you filmed your desk set up with candles burning and rain outside your window as a little background for other people to study with?? Dear Ruby,
I have been a part of your community for quite some time now (actually, now that I‘m thinking about it, it must be more than three years!). This month, I‘ll be starting university in London as an international student. I don‘t think I‘ll even remotely be able to tell you how much you have impacted my life. It is because of you that I am starting this new chapter of my life in a few weeks and I can‘t tell you how excited I am. There is so much to say (positive, thankful words!) yet so little room here. It is difficult to summarize your impact in a few, two-dimensional words, but I‘ll try it either way. You are an inspiration! Thanks to you, I am passionate about learning (though, I have to admit, I am in a bit of a lazy phase right now, hihi), I am passionate about Harry Potter, English Literature, autumn, the smell of books, being kind to others, and being myself. I know this may sound *a little* exaggerated, but the more I think about it, the more I know it‘s true. I am really trying my best to not sound like a complete maniac (and I think I am gloriously failing), but I just needed to tell you this from the bottom of my heart.

I sat in a little café at the beginning of the week and wrote four letters before the start of my late shift and my wife and I collected a kilo of blackberries afterwards. I revelled in my productivity.

I love your channel sm!!! Finding it so helpful and inspiring!!! I also love when it rains and will plan my day around it so that I can write or read while it’s raining with some ambiance classical music playing. It’s the best thing ever and conditioned my brain into not being so depressed and unmotivated to do things on gloomy days. The opposite effect now rings true, when it rains I instantly get to planning my day around the times it’ll be raining and stick to tasks so much so that I’ll have time for those activities I enjoy! I plan to toss in some arts this upcoming year and do livestreams on the channel I start so I can share that time with others! You inspire me to be less anxious in sharing myself and life with others which is a big thing and I’m eternally grateful to you and creators like you who have these positive effects in the world 🤘🏻😌🤌🏻💕✨truly amazing humans!!!

I love all your videos and as a bonus nature fact that wasn't a wasp that you saw it was a hoverfly, they look like wasps but they don't build a nest the like wasps do instead they lay their eggs on a river bed. Why there are so many in your room is maybe you had a scented candle and they smelled that. Also they don't sting.
Ah that's so cool! Thank you for telling me! Wasps tend to settle and start to build nests around my bedroom and so I was slightly concerned that might have been happening again... so I've very pleased to hear that!

I grew up in the south of my country, and I love rain and miss it so much it hurts:)
Tip, when looking for flights online, clear your cookies each time. Prices will go up otherwise each time you search. That's how they get ya. Also booking a flight *too* early can also be too expensive. Best time is like 3 weeks before the trip. My husband flies a lot and these are some of his tips

Hi, Ruby, I would really recommend you to get a proper desk chair since you, and the whole world, sit in front of computer for hours and hours pretty much everyday. That backpain won't be pretty when it comes, and it will be soon if you keep hunching over your desk like that :( A nice ergonomic chair is an investment, honestly.

It could even be a series, you know? You could put out a writing vlog maybe once a week and number them as you go along, separating them from your other videos.

Ruby! I believe the tiny wasp-like insect is actually a fly.
We study it in community ecology and zoology it's called "aposematism", and it's a mechanism that tipically-prey or, inocuous-but-huntable animals use to avoid getting eaten. A popular animal that uses this mechanism is fake mexican coral snakes, as they are not poisonous/venomous (sorry I don't understand well the difference btw the 2, im spanish and we got the same word for them hahaha) yet they imitate a rather dangerous "cousin", the "coralillo sonorense or mexican coralillo" (coralillo = small reef in spanish).
In Spain this summer wasps have been really active too, probably due to ben exposed to an 8 month draught thus getting to our human environment to get food shelter or water, but who knows 😂. Gotta say after 2020 I expect nothing hahahaha
