Your videos have inspired me to learn more. I used to hate learning but because of you I love it. After getting used to it I realized it’s amazing and calming. I caught up on things I needed to learn and now I’m learning things a grade above what I should be learning without being stressed.
I try to be as technologically equipped as the rest of genz, but writing on ipads( and gaming for more than 20 minutes straight) is something i can never do
I did an English literature degree just like Ruby, and we often discussed the value of video games! There was even a third year course on games and literature. They can be very valuable for tracing the development of genres, and when studying sci fi. This was before the game was released, but we discussed the new cyberpunk game in my final year science fiction class when reading neuromancer. It was great for looking at the depiction of female characters in sci fi! Sorry for the ramble, just very interested in this topic :) hope you have a lovely weekend! ❤️

While watching you doing extensive research on tea, I was just wondering if you would like to look into the colonial roots of tea, the role of East India Company in starting the Opium Wars with China for tea and later establishing very exploitative tea plantations in India? This might be deviating from your obvious topic, but given the colonial history of Britain and India, I think it's worth looking how tea was a crucial import commodity for Britain that perpetuated colonialism in India, Ceylon and China. Just a thought.

Something I find interesting.. like you mentioned you really love learning, how did you manage to keep that sense of adventure even whilst going through A Levels? I find that system (I so relate, going through smtg similar) tends to emphasize on focus vs exploration of the subjects I'm taking. It tends to seem as tho exploration would mean I'm less efficient when it comes to studying - thx for reading! sry its a bit long >

While watching you doing extensive research on tea, I was just wondering if you would like to look into the colonial roots of tea, the role of East India Company in starting the Opium Wars with China for tea and later establishing very exploitative tea plantations in India? This might be deviating from your obvious topic, but given the colonial history of Britain and India, I think it's worth looking how tea was a crucial import commodity for Britain that perpetuated colonialism in India, Ceylon and China. Just a thought.

ooh, I noticed u use Ctrl F to highlight certain keywords when you read (or muscle through? dk man hahah I don't think I have your level of reading focus) through heavy text, I probs would use that.
Something I find interesting.. like you mentioned you really love learning, how did you manage to keep that sense of adventure even whilst going through A Levels? I find that system (I so relate, going through smtg similar) tends to emphasize on focus vs exploration of the subjects I'm taking.
It tends to seem as tho exploration would mean I'm less efficient when it comes to studying
