  • The Great Zombie War Continues!
Intense war rages on in the Eastern Hemisphere. The Franco-European Union needs military assistance from The United States to help purge the undead from major European cities.
From the depths of the Paris Catacombs, the crowded quarters of India, to the freezing climate of Siberia. There is no escape from the infected.
Inspired by Max Brooks: "World War Z"

Not sure why the Russians would use WWII surplus when the enormous cold war surplus is right there and objectively superior in just about everything but simplicity. Its also better at operating in frigid Siberian Conditions, and most of the WWII surplus is in the west of Russia anyway. Military depots from the Cold War are all over the place, especially in the Far East because of China and American Pacific holdings.

@@outofthetrashben2873 In the book, the catacomb teams only had compact melee weapons similar to those used in WW1 and air powered pellet pistols that were only good for 5-7 shots. The toxic gas that had built up in the catacombs from the decaying dead, broken gas lines, and ruptured sewage lines made firing a conventional fire arm and explosion risk. They also were given cheap gas masks with expired cartages and could only communicate via hardline coms. Each one automatically received Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur, France's highest military honor for volunteering to clear the catacombs. The survival rate was 1 in 8.

From the book the best zombie killing tactic was selecting an open area for the kill zone. Have a large number of riflemen set up in a square formation with a lot of supplies and ammo in the square’s centre, put out a noise to attract zombies and then wait for them to come. Keep killing zombies day and night till there are no more.

They would have to do what the French soldiers did and bring gas powered carbines plus cqc weapons ie axe. One more thing, it didn’t really show the water in the tunnels like there was in the books but regardless this was a very good depiction!

If they are that concerned just seal off all entrances and bury the undead to rot away in darkness, no need to risk a team and once surface is secured permanently seal the catacombs under cement... As for the Russian side of things, T-34s? really? The only reason I could see those being used is for simplicity, but surely they could have grabbed some T-55s at least?

I liked the tunnel sequence, but when guy said "We're setting the defences", and then they just stand in the there without any defences feels quite stupid.
Cinematics are really good, I wish there could be another WWZ movie with stories about fighting the zombies.

The movie with Brad Pitt was good, but in no way resembles the book. These videos are great. The Russian Priests were tasked with ‘putting down’ those soldiers who were bitten but not yet turned. They took the burden of this on themselves, because suicide was deemed a mortal sin, and the other soldiers were struggling with the task. It was very well written in the book.

A bit of criticism, i do think that the screaming is over the top, you could tone it down. In other short films it was a bit goofy tbh but your doing a damn fine job turning arma 3 into a movie. Keep at it
