Practically we have never seen a war movie based in a modern warfare, in which we could see other armies except American or Russian army. We have never seen the modern German army in a movie. Nor French, nor Polish, nor Spanish, and many more. That's why I love making machinimas and that's why I say that this is an actual art. Because we can see very different things that we will never see from a Hollywood movie. We would never see a rifle squad equipped with different variants of G36 rifles, in a battle scene. We would never see a MG3 or a MG4 machine gun element covering an attacking squad or some specific defensive positions. We will never see Leopard2 tanks and IFV Pumas in action. That's why I love machinimas. Because we can see them all together here, in a just one episode of this World War 3 series. Get ready to live a very different experience. As a german who served in the Bundeswehr I need to say this.
First it's awesome! You really showed how we would wait in cover for our enemy to get close and then let the trap work.
BUT!!! A tank platoon like this would most likely have some AAs with them. For obvious reason. Also Leopard crews are trained go get into cover when being shot at.
We would dig out several shootingspots where we can reposition our tank so the enemy never gets a clear line of sight.

I like how in this serious in the long term Russia always has the advanrage. We may get some traps but all in all Russia wins 99% of Engagements. BC of Mighty russian Air. I dunno maybe seeing actual Air defense in strategic traps would be nice. We saw one AA piece and that was a stinger the whole time.
I agree, I had to wait a long time for the German army to finally get at least some air defense in this battle. 24 minutes. Stinger.... hooray, at least something..

It's kinda weird that the germans have absolutely no air defense but apart from that this is the best thing I've ever seen made in arma
I thought the same. Especially the german Coast is clustered with Mantis AAs, patriots and LeFlaSys.
I guess in such a scenario the british royal airforce would be in Germany within minutes and help NATO partner for sure. You just need artillery and airforce superiority

@@lax-8543probably, but the ai aren’t even dumb. just put their skill up and use ace to put their performance up. This allows ai pilots to utilize their arsenal, like unguided bombs, and the ground forces perform better and have more creative cover methods.

The moment I saw the covered smoothbore cannons of the Leopard 2, GHOST DIVISION immediately went through my head.
And I have to say that as a German I liked it very much, even if most of my compatriots today would howl about such a video and see it as a glorification of war.

I wasn't cowering in the corner paralysed obviously, but it all leaves a lasting lingering impact because of how well made these are and how they show you how gritty war on that scale is in the end. Nothing glorifying about it.

As for the Air Force, well that got neutered by a few more governments cashing in on the "Peace Dividend" and "Flinten-Uschi" von der Leyen and her predecessors not buying enough replacement parts, because those cost money!

This is brutal. It doesn't hold your hand. And cinematography gets us right in the thick of it. The addition of dropping us right in the eyes of one of the soldiers and looking down their scope, just truly immersive. I truly respect your art, and will look forward to the next gritty episode, however long it takes, because these are always worth the wait.
This is a bloody masterpiece. Only downside is the Russian Army might face much more very, very difficult challenge if they attempt to do this in real life.

the west only gets fed filtered propaganda to inflate their egos. in truth everyone with a brain and rational logical thinking knew what really happened in ukraine. some westerners know but get censored. russia wad deliberately avoiding as much civilian casualties as possible which results in more casualties for russia. unlike the Nato countries. thats why every pro ukraine idiot didnt understand russia's moral approach to war. then western nato propaganda tried to hide the ukrainian nazis. the truth is mostly out now. its unfortunate that ukraine is grabbing random people and relaxing its requirements for draft. they are literally killing their own to buy time and fake success stories to get more aid.

WW II it took Germany about 6 years to surrender. So yes they will not collapse easily considering that in both world wars they had multiple various countris fighting against them

Real war is much more brutal than this. Imagine that the majority of the dead soldiers can not even been identified because of the damage on their bodies.
Everyone wants to be a Soldier until DSHK or 50 Cal bullets come your way. Next thing you know your partner is hit and you see his guts and brain matter all over the floor. Heavy Artillery comes crashing down on your position and you have dig a fox tunnel because in the live moment it's really intense
Real war is far worse you can imagine, hollywood is a propaganda tool. That is no secret anymore.
No, he doesn´t. This scenario is completely unrealistic. The Russians would not be able to land, because of German AA and Radar. So no surprise attack over the Baltic sea, they would have been spotted miles away, by Radar and Civilian ships. And also German Land-based AA and ship-based AA would have completely wiped out any Russian Airforce.

Yea, way too organized and oversupplied. Even if they SOMEHOW get to Germany AFTER fighting the Poles, and The Baltics, they would still need to figure out how to feed their army or refuel plus air power is a VERY BIG IFFY if Russia can maintain local air superiority.
Oh and Russian EW advantage immediately fades away once they fight in foreign soil since they would in theory need to use lower powered mobile jammers so that’s another missing point.

At this point i've lost count of how many times i watched this. It's the best Arma3 machinima i've ever saw, it's feel great to see other nations in action for once i wish the game was this epic XD

1: 1:09 , почему российские войска при продвижении/разведке/зачистке не используют воинскую тактику? Передвижение группой, примкнув к стене, чёткое соблюдение порядка, контроль секторов? Мы видим беспорядочное перемещение.
2: 2:51 , почему не имеется техники прикрытия? Зенитные установки, радары, системы ЛЭП, мотострелки, армейская авиация?
3: 6:06 , почему танки наступают в поле, как в 1940-х годах в лобовую атаку? Почему не пытаются обойти противника, окружить и уничтожить? Хорошо, авиацию они использовали, можно предположить, что штурмовики летели по запросу после попадания в засаду (вопроса того, почему колонна изначально не сопровождалась вертолётами типа Ми-24/28/35, Ка-52 остаётся открытым).
4: 9:36, почему вертолёты армейской авиации летят в атаку тучей? Почему не присутсвует атаки на дистанции, к чему риск пролёта над землёй, где расположился противник? У Ми-24 есть ПТУР, напоминаю, и к чему им летать на такой высоте? Представьте, если бы апач или суперкобра летали бы так же. Это странно. Удобная мишень для ПЗРК.
5: 10:45, к чему такие агрессивные действия? Вы победили, он сдаётся, к чему показывать доминирование?
6: 10:56, почему они обстреливают город? В чём главная цель? Даже расположение противника в городе не означает того, что по нему необходимо бить залпами из орудий. Если по городу ведётся огонь, то ведётся он по инфраструктуре, то биш по электростанциям, станциям телевещания и т.д.
Почему здесь изображён беспорядочный обстрел города?
7: 12:14, так всё это время спецназ военной разведки, будучи в тылу противника, координировал действия артиллерии? Почему нельзя было задействовать дроны или вести огонь по имеющимся картам? Я не понимаю причину, как ведения самого огня, так и координации арт.огня. Город - не расположение войск противника, которое может смениться в любое время. Тут разведка не нужна. Просто достаньте карты города и ведите огонь по квадратам/улиткам, только вопрос зачем?
8: 20:34, почему российские войска не используют транспортные средства при продвижении к населённыи пунктам? БТР, БМП, БМД, броневики "Тайфун", "Тигр"? Почему у нас пехота бежит за танками, как в 1943-ем на Курской дуге?
Ежели российская армия современная, почему она использует устаревшие методы ведения войны?
9: 21:06, для этого и нужна разведка, заведомо выведать занятые направления/города/укрытия и прочее противником, чтобы разработать тактику действий против них и организовать уничтожение/противодействие засады, либо просто обойти. У России есть дроны, есть армейский спецназ, который занимается военной разведкой, почему сейчас они не в действии?
10: 21:36, причина, по которой необходимо использовать броневики для пехоты.
11: 23:29, почему у немецкой армии нет авиации или артиллерии? Нам показали единожды применение артиллерии и я искренне сомневаюсь, что авиация и флот России уничтожили весь состав артиллерии Германии.
Подводя итог хочу сказать, что видео получилось действительно интересным, оно поражает своими масштабами, планами, взаимодействием солдат, техники и многим другим.
Но ежели вы снимаете видео на военную тематику используя за основу реальную тактику действий армейских подразделений в какой-либо ситуации, то используйте её по обеим сторонам. Я ни сколько не сомневаюсь в проффесионализме и слаженности немецких войск, но для меня странно наблюдать то, что российская армия не обладает теми же качествами, хотя должна, ибо тогда она не оказалась в Германии и была бы уничтожена практически сразу.
Российская армия здесь представлена по-моему мнению ордой, использующей устаревшие методы ведения войны, как и исполняющее безрезультатные преступные приказы, я лишь заявляю о том, что наблюдать такое от современной армии (хотите вы этого или нет, но российская армия считается таковой), на фоне России немецкая армия крайне сильно контрастирует, заметно применение тактики и грамотное применение всех имеющихся средств.
Видео хорошее, несмотря на всё это, мне было интересно его смотреть, хотя я и не одобряю роликов, что дискредитируют российскую армию, но будем считать, что это художественное произведение, коим оно и является. Но впредь, советую смотреть реальную картину боя, она даст планы получше, как и сюжет.

That ambush on beginning is spot on, Germans are expert on ambush tactics, they got it from WWII, They also designed their tanks to do exactly that. It is really brutal and deadly tactics, and it can leave a nasty surprise for those invaders.
That movie "Iron Heart" with Brad Pitt reminds me very well
Strange. What kind of idiot would place so much military equipment in one place. And there is not a single combat drone here. Today they don’t fight like that. Military equipment leaves cover to fire at a machine gun point. And he leaves without even turning the turret in the direction where the shot was planned to be fired. This is just an incredible fairy tale. Nobody fights with World War II tactics. Today it's drones. And the military equipment, having fired several shots, immediately leaves this place and camouflages itself. This is how they fight today.

I'm kinda irritated the Americans weren't in this episode given the fact that... You know... Our biggest bases are there... Wr would have had jets and tanks there LONG before France sent their tanks.

Point is, you should have US troops there LONG before France has to send guys in from the border.

This made for a very nice watch. Great cinematography and sound design. Only real complaint is how the Germans seem to lack an Air Force or Anti-Aircraft systems. Other than that, loved every second of this.

@@savx3220 As an active Bundeswehr soldier I can tell you that you can never just go by the numbers. It‘s about quality and quantity. Where russia has more vehicles, ours are more effectkve and our soldiers better trained. I‘m sure without the help of the Nato or the EU it wouldn‘t take long until Berlin has fallen in such a scenario, but it‘s because we focus more on quality, especially when it is about tanks is battleships. I don‘t know how people in other non-EU countries think about us, but since the beginning of the war in the Ukraine, and since we got a new Verteidigungsminkster, I believe our military is on a good way

Yes. There need to be a push back. A balance at least. And just wondering if there's going to be a turn around somewhere, somehow. This reminds me of the German blitzkrieg and somehow at a point the Russians were able to stop them and then the turn around.
If such a large-scale army battle occurs in the world again, it will be devastating.

The high angle firing from the german SPG's is as accurate as it gets when firing from inside an urban zone. Love seeing artillery represented in here. (even though they keep getting destroyed by cruise missiles xp)

This is incredible! The cinematography and soundtrack make it so intense! Also the moment the Russian tanks were engaged on the road I wondered how they would react to the ambush and as soon as they tuned the armour towards the threat and started laying down smoke I was punching the air! Great to see by the book reactions.
Also great to see some Europeans getting some love.

I love the look and sound of the MG3. Great stuff, I really appreciate you not animating any overt war crimes like shooting prisoners, just alluding to it is tastefully done. Better than most action movies, and a great way to practice listening to russkiy and deutsche.

You had Russians just kinda... standing around as rounds impacted and somehow failed to actually destroy the ammunition of their artillery... Like... I get you want to give Russia and China a chance, but these are easy fixes that you can just not include while focusing on more realistic aspects like street to street fighting or how CAS would be employed.
Basically... can we *please* just drop the China and Russia plot armor?

Yeah, have the German artillery destroy the Russian artillery and then have a few helicopters fly in and shoot up the Bunderswehr forces while concerned Russian officers eye the radar noticing they're rapidly losing air assets and have to move faster or something.
Yeah it's a stretch but come on. That's gotta be better than German artillery hitting Russian artillery directly and only causing like... 3 explosions...

@@flawlesswargamer312 certainly, was mostly just joking about the Russia military competence, although I’d say after this Russo-Ukrainian war is over Russia will need 5-10 years of rebuilding their military to be considered a true threat to nato once again. Great video man I truly enjoy every one of your episodes. My only question is does arma 3 limit what you can do regarding anti aircraft? One would think that the Germans would have some AA batteries for the defense of Hamburg but that’s my only criticism and not even that necessary as the Russians needed air support in this video to make it even more gritty of a brawl in the city

Excellent work again but I notice the formula hasn't changed: army A takes position in cover while army B charges at them out in the open. Army B takes casualties until their armour or air comes in. Army A then takes casualties until someone with RPG or stinger shoots the armour. Repeat.
to be fair he’s working with quite an old game and there is only so much the AI can do

I don’t see how Russia could’ve gotten multiple su-24s through German radar without them getting shot down by a combat air patrol since there are nato combat air patrols or I could just be a German fanboy but other than that it’s really good
I would guess that between Russian jamming and where the lines of the contested airspace was they could have some local air superiority.

Those Germans wlking through the forest like that would have been noticed incredibly fast if they were moving in a formation like that and in that way, as long as the Russians took the time to have some guards around.
In the Finnish army we are taught as one of our basic ways of movement how to advance in a forest, which is by advancing only three seconds at a time before taking cover, while moving in groups of three. Soldiers moving like that are practically invisible to an outside observer

Looking back on the opening tank battle. I do note one thing. The only reason that the Russians won that battle was due to having air superiority. They used helicopters to whipe out the German tank forces, which is accurate to what they have been doing in recent years. War is a merciless being, while you may have better tanks and technology over your opponent, that doesn't mean you are invincible. The fact that this film is non-biased is what catches my attention, in a good way of course.

What an absolutely impressive project man. On the topic of representing military environments and exchanges that rarely get press, I just wanna throw out that it would be insanely cool to see some, like, Algeria vs. France or Indonesia vs. Australia shit; there are some countries out there with fairly large and fairly modern militaries, preparing for entire strategic realities that Western/American audiences rarely consider. Absolutely astounding work, whatever you consider the next step to be. Whatever cinematographer is getting that level of intensity out of in-engine footage should be really, really fucking proud of themselves.
