So, just confirming there is prewiring suitable for the USB socket 'hidden' behind the right fairing? Where is best place to buy such a double USB with alt meter?

Is there a dedicated free socket to connect the USB port or do we have to cut existing wiring?

Sorry for late reply, I rarely look at TH-cam messages....sorry. Yes there are two plugs on the right side. One I have used for my heated grips the other for the USB. I cut the plug and soldered on a water proof plug because I could not find the matching plug in Australia. If you can find the matching plug it will be a very easy install.

@@gregjansen9080 hey Greg thanks for the video mate very helpful. Quick question, can we assume those plugs on the bike are already fused, so we can do away with any inline fuse that comes with the USB port? Cause they would be a bit of a hassle to get to...

@@MVDBR Sorry for late reply!! My unit is definitely not fused. I don't believe there are any on the market that are, unless they are fused inline, only because it would add to the size. I pretty sure the line I plugged into on the bike is fused although I haven't checked!

Thanks mate yeah I ordered a cheapie QC3.0 dual port off eBay that claims to have an inline fuse (just a shitty glass one by the looks) which I'd like to just remove. Cheers for the reply

@@gregjansen9080 I believe u can use a 3 pin Sumitomo MT090 series connector. U can get them on Cycle Terminal.

Why did you remove all that stuff to fit a socket to an existing blanked out opening, seems like a lot of work for nothing?

Greetings, unfortunately I don't have the bike anymore, so I can't go and have a look. If there was an easier way, I assure you, I would have done it. The jobs a PITA. There was nothing on TH-cam at the time, all I could find was pictures with instructions. You have to install the new accessory plug, run wires and get access to the OEM power plug to power your new plug. What I did worked for me and given the number of views, I assume worked for others. Let me know if you discover a short cut, I'm sure there others who'd also like to know.

Hi Tolis Astacos, I have no need for a volt meter BUT I sometimes need 2 USB's. One to charge a phone and one to charge GoPro battery, camera battery etc. Also, to be honest we sell the dual USB so I wanted to demo installing on the 700.
