These are awesome and worth every penny! Smokehouse and I collaborated on HIS idea of the mini and my quest for ultralight packable four seasons outdoor adventure. I have the small Seek Ti stove to go with it. Stove and hot tent is under 6 lbs! The hammock was already part of the kit so I was off the ground, but, WI winters bring the need for hammock hot tents! I am the proud owner of Smokehouse mini #1, it is even signed! Buy once cry once, you get what you pay for, and I got my money's worth for sure. I have also played with pitching the nonstove side like a tarp with poles, works good during the heat of the day. I went with a couple metal For Sale signs as heat shield, easy to get. Great piece of kit, thanks again Smokehouse!
Nice design. The mini is a reasonable weight, too. I just ordered a DCF winter tarp, but I will keep you in mind if I decide that I absolutely can't live without a hot tent for my hammock.
Awesome...I'm definetly going to get one of these in a few month ...one of my friends has a traditional style hot tent but they are too cramped imo....there is plenty of room in these and it's just like a small cabin
Yes,, normally you can sleep one in a hammock and 2 on ground when using stove... the Snokehouses can be made longer and/or taller too. email me at smokehousehammock@yahoo.com and Ill send all info... thanks
how high winds your talking about.. If it has the center support poles that will help... in high winds I would not have a stove burning... BUT,,, If I was using a Smokehouse in canvas or 200d fabric that was setup on an A-frame with bar setup ( have videos on it) then yes, I would run a stove in it with winds no more then 50mph.
Hey Donny... Yes, called the smokehouse2... comes normally in 12' at ridgeline but can order any length you want. email me at smokehousehammock@yahoo.com for all the info... thanks... here is a video in canvas. many fabrics available. th-cam.com/video/Seugt5RZKm4/w-d-xo.html

If using a hammock, probably still need an underquilt?
Yes still needs underquilt because if you have a small stove that doesn't burn all night and goes out you will be glad you had the underquilt.
