    I have two of those hooked up for my wall of amps. The KHE stuff is incredible. And made my workflow in the studio so much better.

    I have the KHE 4x4 unit using it with a 1967 Deluxe r=Reverb, a 1961 Vox AC10, a 1983 Marshall JCM800 and a UA OX... oh man what an incredible machine for a home studio. No more re-wiring when I want to hear a different amp/cab/attenuator. WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY!

      Is it safe to use with a reactive loadbox (no cab)?

      @@manos6426 I use it with a UA OX, so yes.

      Just curious, what were the import fees on the 4x4? I'm looking at buying one in the US but the cost is ballooning with the large shipping cost and then then import fees on top

    I’ve been waiting for a good version of something like this to come out that doesn’t more than 2 cabs. With all the reamping, fancy di boxes, cab sims, attenuators, amps, guitar interfaces, etc that are out today, you could basically make a guitar recording console. Like a beautiful one stop shop for guitar. Imagine having a massive collection of amps and cabs always turned on hooked to a power sequencer, hooked up to these things all daisy chained together. You just press a button and route anything anywhere. With pro effects loops, normal effects loops, a Peterson strobe tuner.

    I bought a KHE 4x2 about 2 years ago. It is still the BEST purchase I have made for my home studio. My only regret is not getting an 8x4. I quickly outgrew the unit I bought. Also, Markus is THE MAN!!!!!

    Nice, some archon love. The 100w archon head is the only amp I’ll ever need. It does everything I could possibly want. I love it. When I want some vastly different tones , I just change cabs.(I mostly use the 4x12 prs stealth cab)

    De Lisle has an attenuation loop and switch as well which is much better. It also has a input that goes to each amp and ground… check that out.

    And MIDI programming is a breeze on these - just go to whatever channel you want on your MIDI switcher, select the amp and cab channel on the KHE and then hold the write switch. Done. GREAT product!!

    Fluff mentions the 8x4 costs $1300 but after shipping, import fees and taxes expect to pay $1500-1600 when all said and done. Mine is on its way but I expect it to be worth it.

    Not the same thing, but I made my own amp switcher with a DPDT switch that allows me to uncouple my front L/R speakers from my home theater surround amp and have them driven by a completely different amp/preamp setup for listening to vinyl. Mounted it in a metal tin that a wallet came in. Looks cool, works perfect, cost less than $10.

    then add the layers of looping options and noise gates. I'd get stuck trying everything in every way, and in the end back to the recto/6505 thing that just works.

  • @MisterRorschach90

    Wow I just went to their site for the first time. Using the link abilities you can literally do any combination. You could have a 80x80x80 amp/cab/fx switching setup given you had a nuclear power plant powering your house. I thought I read that you can use the fx native to the amps on different amps, but that was too good to be true. That would be an insane feature. Like your fender reverb? Use it on slo100. Like some random delay or chorus on a practice amp but the amp doesn’t sound good? Use it on your expensive amps.

    • @kheaudio
      @kheaudio 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jordan, thanks! Yes, up to 15 switchers can be linked (one customer already maxed this out haha). The fx-loop switching works a bit different: It does not allow to share built-in effects from amps with other amps (like amps with spring reverb or such). The fx-loop switching feature allows to connect each amp's fx-loop send/return to the KHE, and connect the fx-pedals like delay reverb or eq ('post'-fx) to the 'master fx-loop' of the KHE. This way, you can share a single pedal-chain with all amp's fx-loop (needs a lot of cables though, but it's a lot of fun and very efficient use of resources). Cheers :)

    Nice! I've been looking at the KHE stuff for a while now. How does it handle amp/cab mismatches? If I have 2 cabs hooked up to the KHE. One an 8ohm and one a 16 ohm. If I have a Mesa Dual Rec with the speaker cable coming out of the 8ohm jack going to the KHE and I switch to the 16ohm cab, that is a safe mismatch. But what if I have a another amp with the speaker out coming out of the 16ohm jack going to the KHE, and then switch to the 8ohm cabinet? That is a unsafe mismatch, correct? How does the KHE deal with unsafe mismatches?

    My problem is this: I run an AxeFx in stereo to a stereo matrix poweramp then into a left cab and a right cab. I’m trying to figure out how to switch from the AxeFx/matrix rig to a fryette stereo poweramp at the click of a switch but using the same two cabs left and right. Most switchers I have been checking out can’t take in two channels from a stereo poweramp nor split out to the two separate L/R cabs while playing through either poweramp! Anything I should be checking out??

  • @PooNinja
    @PooNinja 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Do they make one that allows me to use multiple heads and cabinets ie, the Mesa and a 4 12 , simultaneously with a slo 30 paired to a 212? I like using lots of stuff all at once. A sonic stew if you will 🔊🥘🔊🎸🤘🏽

    • @thehoppo
      @thehoppo 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Poo, afaik none of the bigger amp switchers do this i.e this one, ampete, kahayan etc, but some of the smaller Radial ones do, but typically only two amp heads max

    • @ractorstudios

    • @weschilton
      @weschilton 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Theoretically, you could use two of these switchers and run 2 amps at a time. Its expensive though. They do make small versions that are less expensive though.

    • @RiffsAndBeards
      @RiffsAndBeards  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The KHE acts as a pass thru, not a load when a cab is engaged. So you would treat any cab like you normally would, just use that handy selector on your amp :)
