Today we're installing an amp switcher in the studio from KHE Electronics - a very cool little 1u Rack device that lets me pick from 4 amps, 4 cabinets and 4 fx loops (for gates, reverbs etc) with the push of a single button. No more tedious messing about with changing cables in the middle of a recording session!
I've got a noise gate from Deadweald Audio going into a Peavey 5150, a Mesa Dual Rectifier, a couple more amps - then into Zilla Cabs and a @TwoNotestv Captor 8 for silent recording options too...

There’s an option for a 4 amp 2 cab switcher from Thomann for small bedroom studios at about £400 although it doesn’t have the effects loops.
This doesn't seem complex enough. It also needs to switch each amp to a number of different cabs (with dummy loads for the disconnected amps) and automatically switch 1-2 mics from the cabs to the pre/interface. This way you don't need to move away from your comfy chair ever! 😃
It does switch cabs with dummy loads! I could probably program the mics to enable with midi when I change cabs remotely as well…

Wangs is a bit of a joke on tube amp builders on facebook. the wangs guitar 'artist' goes on there once a year and nobody likes him or his amps.
Sounds like there’s some elitism going on there, are the members of the group perhaps worried that they can make solid and good sounding amps for far less money?
