26:38 hi, I worked at an animal shelter for a bit and this PSA does tackle a serious issue, at least in America. A lot of shelter pets are returned when people decide they no longer want them, with three big times when pets are returned are Black Cats after Halloween, Rabbits after Easter, and Dogs after Valentine's and Christmas. There's also a really unfortunate habit of people simply leaving their pets to die when they no longer want them. I have worked with animals who were left for dead before. It's very sad.
@@LMNL_SUPRSTR that, and, usually parents buy the pet for a child, realize how much care a pet actually needs (it’s all “look at the cute kitty!” Until you need to clean the litter box, pay vet bills, and vacuum the house more often from all the hair) and decide that returning a pet is somehow less socially acceptable than letting the pet die. I’ve worked with a lot of people who have had genuine reasons for returning a pet. I had to return a pet once. We had adopted a little black kitten when we were poor and the kitten ended up having a rare blood issue that needed monthly medication costing over a thousand dollars each month. We loved the cat but we couldn’t take care of it, so we returned it to the shelter and it found a new home. Some people feel their social standing and pride is more important than the life of an animal. And those people, if a hell exists, belong there.
Correction: The name of the PlayStation commercial was actually called "Mental Wealth" and it was actually meant to promote for the PS1 as the commercial was released in 1999 (a year before the PS2's launched). And the name "Chris Cunningham" was actually the name of the director who made this commercial, and he has also made other commercials and a bunch of music videos for Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, and Bjork. I recommended to you to watch "Come to Daddy", "Windowlicker", and "Rubber Johnny" by Aphex Twin, you can (almost) understand the style that Chris has.
I had thought it was for the PS3. I thought it came out around the same time as the PS3 baby ad. The effects for her eyes looked pretty good for PS1 era
As a Canadian, being forced to watch those PSA's growing up (especially the workplace safety ones and the MADD drunk driving ones in high school) was so disturbing that I recall people leaving the gymnasium because the PSA's were Horror movie level graphic at times.
The work ones were disturbing enough to give me nightmares and I am usually okay with those things, but the one where the man gets crushed, and the acid burn one really fked me up

Analog Horror may have contributed a little bit, but more importantly lost episode creepypastas are what did it for me. Vaporwave actually comforted my view of quite a bit of retro media because I enjoyed listening to it. But I remember being scared of things as a child for seemingly no good reason, such as the TiVo mascot, who me and my sister referred to as the “colorful character” and were absolutely terrified of.
I think I was afraid of that stuff before analog horrors. I think it's the buzzing and sometimes ambient noise of people talking in ads that creep me out when they're old like that. Idek what could've triggered that fear as a kid, I grew up watching passed down vhs tapes...
@@LordMoldoma Yeah, that too. I think anything that distorts older media has contributed. I will say that back in the 90's, I was listening to old recordings from the 30's and 40's and there wasn't this "oooh spooky old stuff" culture then. Watching the last intact copy of a cartoon or listening to a degraded copy of an old radio show was a lot more sad than scary. Actually, more of a mix of incredibly sad that it was nearly lost but amazed that something remained to even be experienced. It seems weird to me that VHS glitches and static scare people these days.
I also want to note.. I'm currently encoding old VHS tapes I made in the 80's. They don't look like those analog horror VHS filters at all. The rollarskating one was written by Rhett and Link for their show Commercial Kings! They were using the "so bad it makes its memorable " technique. Theyve made a few like that
The first one with hot oil always gets under my skin. I love cooking and don’t always practice the safest of actions. I’ve managed to avoid big injuries, just getting cuts or oil to the eye. The thought of oil burns all on my face and neck and chest makes me want to shrivel up and die.
I always love your icebergs, Zach! this one brought a lot of memories back (and got tarako stuck in my head lol) a lot of them aren't *creepy*, some are weird, some are cursed, and some are disturbing ._. maybe a Japanese ads iceberg would be fun to cover, if one exists? anyway, great video! I still can't wait for my snake shirt to get here
I remember having to do a project on the Brady Campaign "Alice" ad. So it was actually in response to a campaign the NRA was running where they were giving fairy tale characters guns to protect themselves. They also say to "ask you neighbor" because I guess it's easier than saying to ask the adults in houses that your kid will be spending time in. There's stories of children going to a family member's house or a friend's house, finding a gun, and someone getting hurt. It's really just encouraging parents to ensure that weapons are being properly stored away from the kids. Not sure where the other commenter got the idea about "snitching to the feds"!
I know this has nothing to do with the video but my favorite psa has to be “Hey Charlie.” If you haven’t watched it then you really need to. It’s both incredibly intense, extremely realistic, and sad.
Beware of thin ice traumatized me as a kid😭 It would play after a Finnish children’s program almost every day during winters. I think it’s a great PSA because i still think about it every time i get on ice :D
I've never understood the K-Fee ads. If the ads were meant to scare you awake and have the same effect as the coffee, then why should I even spend money on the coffee when I can just watch one of the ads instead?
Hey can I just say, thank you for being respectful to other cultures! That and generally not making things over dramatic... very refreshing, thats not common in these communities unfortunately. look forward to see more content from you!
8:50 ....... I think I finally found the thing that in my childhood started a fear of eating until exploding. That took years to finally get rid of. It took so long to get over I couldn't even remember what started it once it was gone, but I guess this is it
GrubHub cinematic universe refers to Matpat overreaching on a theory as usual and trying to convince people that the dancing dad from the grubhub ads is Sheen Estevez from Jimmy Neutron
Idk why but the guy and the ventriloquist could also be like a grieving father who lost his daughter and is dealing with it by making a puppet of her deceased daughter and acting like nothing happened
I have mixed thoughts on the tentacle PSA. On one hand SA is horrible and if people go through it they need help, it's a good thing to bring attention to that, but on the other I feel like I've seen it in so many PSA videos that I've gotten kinda desensitized to it specifically
26:37 hard disagree on it not having anything to say, it's about the phenomenon of "Christmas puppies" or sometimes "Easter bunnies" where people buy pets as a gift without any kind of thought as to how much time and effort it is to keep a pet let alone train a puppy. Unfortunately best case scenario is they get given up to a shelter, worst case is that (and I've heard of this happening where I live) the family will want to get rid of the pet without being seen as irresponsible and will either dump the dog in the middle of nowhere (usually at an intersection so they can stop at a stop sign, boot the dog out the door, and then drive off) or as the psa shows just straight up kill the pet. This was especially common with older generations, there's a reason everyone has heard of the bag of kittens in a river.
I never said it didn't have anything to say but I'm just not the biggest fan of the PSA, just decides to be over the top to intentionally get a reaction from you but yes it is definitely a big issue
A loooot of people get pets without truly considering the consequences/responsibilities. My mother bought us a house cat a couple months ago, and her ideal vision of having a cat has slowly shattered. Thankfully she's willing to adapt to the changes lol. I've always been saying that people need to be ready for responsibilities when getting pets. Can't even imagine what it's like to have kids.
My mom found her cat about to be thrown off a bridge and there were already some off the bridge when they got there. Not sure about anywhere other than US, but here, animal dumping is beyond a bad problem. We found almost all our animals, or rescued them. My cat was alone on the highway, she was a baby baby. My dog was running around in the middle of nowhere and completely matted. We posted him all over online but no one claimed him so I just kept him. And then you have breeders, there are some particular breeders that will just kill any reject puppies or kittens. Our shelters are almost all over max capacity. It’s insane. People really don’t understand the responsibility that comes with having a “cute lil puppy”
Thank you for another awesome iceberg! I admit a lot of the things that you said “aren’t scary” would have TERRIFIED me as a kid. But I also agree they’re not scary. So I couldn’t tell you why. Anything to do with heads or morphing faces specifically used to PETRIFY me!
"A waaaafer thin mint Sirr?" The guy exploding because he kept eating is a familiar sketch by Monty Python, you can see it in the film The Meaning of Life as well. Mr Creasoate.
I remember seeing beware thin ice every year around the early winter and spring in the Finnish tv channel 2. That’s why the creatures form number 2. Those were the channels children program’s mascots back in early 2000’s. The psa wasn’t scary because it was old. To Finnish kids, it was scary because the sounds the bear makes when he falls in the ice and how he says beware the thin ice. I’m surprised nobody who talks about that psa says anything about the sounds. More facts about the channel this was always aired: the Finnish channel 2 is aired by the Finnish news service called Yle or “yleis radio” in English public radio. The channel is ran with taxpayers money such as their radio channels and has no commercials. They air a children show block called “pikku kakkonen” which is little Two in Finnish, every business day at the morning (lasting from 7am to 9/10am) and evening (5pm to 6pm) The morning block is showed in weekends too. Every year In Christmas eve Pikku Kakkonen shows a lot of Christmas cartoons and shows like the snowman. Also every Christmas they show a live broadcast from Rovaniemi from the Santa Claus’ land of Santa talking to children from around the country who call him. Every kid in Finland have tried or wanted to try to call Santa 🎅
The grubhub cinematic universe comes from 3 theory videos on the food theory channel. In the video MatPat theorizes that the grubhub universe is the same as the Jimmy Neutron universe.
Mr. Soapy is a military PSA. Misawa AB is an air base in Japan. Airmen in the early 2000's apparently weren't washing their hands enough. Mr. Soapy was brought back because of COVID.
Oh, I remember the "Never Say No to Panda" one, because my dad showed it to me when it came out. I was like 6. The thing is, I found it fucking hilarious, and still do 😂 (it kind of surprises me that people found it scary, but then again, the panda's empty eyes do give off uncanny valley vibes)
My Mom worked for the WSIB and I remember her telling my Dad about the new Ads they were running and since I was little, just hearing about them traumatized me.
@@Zach.R she was actually talking about the one where the lady falls into the glass display at the fashion store because she was reaching over too much. I'm pretty sure there were WSIB ads before those ones you mentioned in the video where it was the injured person actually talks about how it "wasn't an accident" Still as traumatizing though lmao.
With Airheads, I used to be terrified of eating them cause one of my friends told me that if you ate one your head would come off (I was a dumb kid so I believed her) and now seeing that Airhead commercial on this iceberg, I think I now know how she came up with that one.
About that PlayStation commercial, one of the comments said that the way they interpreted this ad was that the old fashioned toy and the new age of "toys" is represented by the baby doll and the PS3, and for the first time, they meet. At first, the baby doll seems interested looking at the PS3 but then it cries while seeing the PS3's potential, seeing its capabilities. The doll kind of realized that old toys will be replaced by these new forms of entertainment. However, the baby doll pushes back its tears, and refers the console by calling out to it as "mama", meaning the doll calls out the console as something beyond than him, something far more superior. which meant that despite the baby doll is aware of how playtime with "toys" will be different during this time, he accepts it as now he realizes that the PS3 is indeed a powerful console. It's as if the doll is thinking: "If us old toys will be fully replaced by you guys, I wouldn't worry about it. People will surely enjoy you." and he worships the thought of it. What do you think?
The drunk driving home video ad near the end mentioned my home town. Nobody ever really talks about it so hearing it’s name kind of threw me off lmao. So far our only claim to fames have been Kody Linley and our mall being used in “I am not okay with this”
There’s an ad I saw in Italy (I think, possibly Germany) in the early 2000s I’ve never seen anywhere since. There was a person standing on the ledge of a tall building getting ready to jump when someone rushes over to coax them back in. The ad ends with the them then helping the potential jumper out onto the ledge on the other side of the building before cutting to reveal the helper’s car and how the first window would’ve had the jumper land on it. I forget what car was being advertised. I’m surprised the list didn’t have the “you wouldn’t do it in public” hot coffee PSA or the “if you do nothing you might as well be helping” baseball bat domestic violence PSA.
It wasn't until around tier 3 that I realized I'd seen this same iceberg covered by another youtuber (user Sunflower) who I believe is also Australian. This iceberg must've been updated as I didnt recognize some. Always great hearing your thoughts, especially on some of these weird and obscure commercials, and I'm really gonna have to see about getting that Snake merch. _Yessssssssss._
Thank you heaps but yeah honestly forgot someone covered this until I was half way through editing it but noticed that the iceberg had changed since then. Also felt like I had my own things to say about each entry anyways :)
Rhett and Link would occasionally go to local public ads and give them a higher quality budget and resources to make goofy and eye catching ads. That Adult Swim skit like ad was one of theirs. Hence why they are in it with an old man in a sideways hat
16:34 I remember I was disgusted and disturbed by the green (or was it yellow?) drool hanging in Wario’s mouth near the end of the commercial, so much so that I closed my eyes when it reached the halfway point. I was a really sensitive child.
Nintendo's You Can Not Beat Us CGI character that is standing in front of the multicolored, striped background, (around 9:45) is trying to liken itself to the character, Max Headroom, who was a huge icon in the 80s...
I think the Grub Hub Cinematic Universe just refer to various Grub Hub ad that uses the same style of animation as the one that you showed in the video. The Cinematic Universe is interesting as it is a nod to a crack pot theory by the channel either Food Theory or Film Theory if I'm that proves that it all takes place in the same universe ala the MCU which has slither of truth to it.
I’m a Styrofoam cup, Yo! When my father was deployed to Okinawa, Japan; they played that commercial lots on the TV- I remember watching it in middle school
About that Japanese Clinic's ad there was on going horror stories attached to that ad. It's how some people experienced tv acting up weird whenever that ad start showing up on screen past midnight. Usually around 1-2 am. That's why some people got scared of it. Also about how Japanese weird ads feels like it's mostly their culture, yes, yes it is. If you look up different Japanese ads, even the bright fun ones have very weird sense of humor, not spooky, just..very wacky and weird their ads mostly feels like anime.
a psa i saw that so far hasnt been mentioned in any psa iceburgs, brings light to child SA, and basically has the message "if you know its happening, do something" it shows a maid cleaning a kitchen with a baby monitor nearby, where we hear a young girl playing before her dad comes home, where right after all you hear from the baby monitor is... well.. you know.. with it panning to the maids face as she breaks into sobs, but doesnt do anything to stop it, with a narrator (or text) stating to do something if you hear something (along those lines) its probably the most disturbing PSA ive ever watched, everytime i watch these kinds of videos i cant get this PSA out of my mind. it was just so sad and disturbing to hear and watch
I saw the commercial with the giant termite and the commercial with the dirt devil vacuum as a kid. Ngl, they freaked me out at first, but the dirt devil one had me facepalm laughing at the end.
excellent video also they used to advertise the dawn is your enemy on normal tv it lasted for 5 seconds but they did advertise it for some odd reason Edit: it was used to advertised adult swim on the vindaloo player which was ironic because they played it many different times during the day
Just noticed that the 'gang members' in that Skate Rink add look a *awful lot like* Link and Rett from Good Mythical Morning and can't let that go. Lol
For the "Grubhub Cinematic Universe" bit, I believe they're referring to Mattpatt's video on the subject. He basically theorizes (as he does) that the people in those ads are actually the kids from Jimmy Neutron all grown up. Pretty interesting watch, would recommend to any who haven't seen it.
I think the Pepperami as is included because of the tagline "is a bit of an animal" - so, which particular bit of the animal could this long, thing, phallic block of meat actually be?
It doesn’t sound like much, but I remember an ad that my mom and I both hated. It was just a sort of psa about babies getting whooping cough and all that happened was the sound of a baby coughing, but I swear that is just the worst sound on earth. I’m the least maternal person ever and that sound still just activated every nerve in my body
1:18 I didn't think much of it back then and just thought it was a promoting Ad or something for the new system coming out and yeah it was how I had felt at the time being so young and just finding out what a PS3 was in the beginning. They caught it just perfectly.
the grubhub cinematic universe is a series of strange and silly grubhub ads that includes the one shown in the video. the characters are interconnected and i believe matpat did a theory on them being jimmy neutron characters (?)
@33:10 "... that barely even resembles the toy" It looks like the original, which was literally just a set of pins you were supposed to jab into real potatoes
The Wario Ad one is complicated. I'm pretty sure a good chunk of those who found it disturbing probably were exposed to it first by SonicToast's stop motion animations.
since I was already familiar with the Spongemonkeys through the website they are from when I first saw the quiznos ad, I was one of the few people who thought "why is this thing from the internet on tv" and not "holy god what are those get them off my screen"
Unironically I love the Barambo song. Even tho I have no idea what it says, I just want a full version lol. It's a parody of Something Stupid by Frank Sinatra
Yk what's funny abt the crying Indian add? It wasn't even an indigenous man, it was an Italian American actor named "iron eyes cody" who mainly played indigenous characters in film. So yeah 😃
another psa that is disturbed me is called Sunday brunch. i don’t remember what happened but the message was “keeping a crime a secret is the equivalent of committing the crime yourself” edit: the mom 🔫 her kid
In the PSA, her sons were talking about a shootout that happened/would happen, so, by not saying anything to the authorities, it was like she was allowing the killings to happen, so that's why it ends the way it ends
What a nice Iceberg but like it's just weird how they come up and about I mean the weird animated Knight Ad where the little character dude looks like Jin Kazama from tekken but in a americanish way is just weird to me and he's in a lot of Ads all the time pretty commonly.
By the way yes I know Denver is a city I just accidentally said it's a state in the video haha

The first one with hot oil always gets under my skin. I love cooking and don’t always practice the safest of actions. I’ve managed to avoid big injuries, just getting cuts or oil to the eye. The thought of oil burns all on my face and neck and chest makes me want to shrivel up and die.
same
The Yoshi's Island ad where the guy explodes, is a reference to Mr. Creosote from Monty Python's the Meaning of Life.
I still can't wait for my snake shirt to get here
Thank you heaps and I hope you enjoy the shirt when it comes! But yeah that would be pretty cool to cover Japanese media
Hahaha very good point
Using KFee then watching the jumpscares, can activate the caffeine faster.
Hey can I just say, thank you for being respectful to other cultures! That and generally not making things over dramatic... very refreshing, thats not common in these communities unfortunately. look forward to see more content from you!
Thank you I appreciate it! But yeah it would be stupid to not be respectful to other cultures
8:50 ....... I think I finally found the thing that in my childhood started a fear of eating until exploding. That took years to finally get rid of. It took so long to get over I couldn't even remember what started it once it was gone, but I guess this is it
Those wilkins coffee ads were a actually an early version of Kermit before he became the Muppets
No, no it wasn’t, Kermit had already existed by the time Wilkins came along
GrubHub cinematic universe refers to Matpat overreaching on a theory as usual and trying to convince people that the dancing dad from the grubhub ads is Sheen Estevez from Jimmy Neutron
Idk why but the guy and the ventriloquist could also be like a grieving father who lost his daughter and is dealing with it by making a puppet of her deceased daughter and acting like nothing happened
That sounds a lot nicer tbh
Fun fact: the smoking fetus psa was David Fincher's first work as a director.
Loved that Rhett and Link are in the skating ad!!! Always wondered what they did before TH-cam and now I know! Lol.
The dawn can't be your enemy if you sleep until the afternoon
Yeah that's honestly fucked
Yet another great video, Zach! Also, noticed the Windmill Isle music in the background. Nice touch!
Thank you!
As a kid I was terrified by the ka fee Commercial I would cry seeing it on TH-cam
Aha thank you heaps for enjoying the video!
Great vid!!! and FINALLY someone else who gives Mr Yuk the appreciation he needs!!!👏👏
Thank you I appreciate it heaps and of course. Mr Yuk slaps
I would love to get ahold of some Mr yuk stickers.... and you had to fuckin put that top chef PSA at the start.....cheeky
@@snowqueen_8958 oh my goodness yess!!! Same here.
@@snowqueen_8958 if I could somehow release that as merch that would be sick
@@Zach.R that would be cool and some psa's make good merch ideas
Did you know that Mayor Adam West brutally murdered the Noid in one Family Guy episode? “Perhaps it was the Noid that should’ve avoided me!”
"A waaaafer thin mint Sirr?"
The guy exploding because he kept eating is a familiar sketch by Monty Python, you can see it in the film The Meaning of Life as well. Mr Creasoate.
I've been binging iceberg videos specifically about PSAs, so your channel is just fuel for me
I remember seeing beware thin ice every year around the early winter and spring in the Finnish tv channel 2.
They air a children show block called “pikku kakkonen” which is little Two in Finnish, every business day at the morning (lasting from 7am to 9/10am) and evening (5pm to 6pm)
The morning block is showed in weekends too.
Oh shit that's really interesting, was she talking about the ad in 2009 about the construction site
@@Zach.R she was actually talking about the one where the lady falls into the glass display at the fashion store because she was reaching over too much.
I'm pretty sure there were WSIB ads before those ones you mentioned in the video where it was the injured person actually talks about how it "wasn't an accident"
Still as traumatizing though lmao.
@@LazyCatIsFat oh yeah I thought that one as well as a few others came out in the same year (2007)
With Airheads, I used to be terrified of eating them cause one of my friends told me that if you ate one your head would come off (I was a dumb kid so I believed her) and now seeing that Airhead commercial on this iceberg, I think I now know how she came up with that one.
Very interesting
@@Zach.R Yeah, no kidding!
The drunk driving home video ad near the end mentioned my home town. Nobody ever really talks about it so hearing it’s name kind of threw me off lmao. So far our only claim to fames have been Kody Linley and our mall being used in “I am not okay with this”
you gotta grow up with an addict parent to understand the severity of fragile childhood/monsters
I understand it but just as a PSA I think it could be more effective
I stumbled across that PSA in the middle of the night many years ago and it haunts me to this day! 😳
After I did acid my perception of strange has become completely broken
Didn't I already watch this? Wait nvm. I have a bad memory
16:34 I remember I was disgusted and disturbed by the green (or was it yellow?) drool hanging in Wario’s mouth near the end of the commercial, so much so that I closed my eyes when it reached the halfway point. I was a really sensitive child.
Very underrated, keep it up!
Thank you heaps!
I love how he starts with the chef and then proceed to follow with much tamer ads
I just love how the roller kingdom ad has Rhett and Link in it and I think they (or someone else) did a vine with the same idea
"Blades are for skating, ya dingus"" 😂😂 that vine?
@@bon-jovian Yes that's the one!
@@kakuzuswife1267 I love that vine so much 😂😂
Nintendo's You Can Not Beat Us CGI character that is standing in front of the multicolored, striped background, (around 9:45) is trying to liken itself to the character, Max Headroom, who was a huge icon in the 80s...
“Suspicious things at an adult theater”… you mean like, bringing his own popcorn"?
yeah definitely
The Macintosh 1984 ad also gives me the heebie jeebies
IMHO, I think the controversial 1985 "lemmings" commercial is scarier.
39:20 fun fact, this was lost media for a long time
Rhett and link makes it feel so much more like a skit than something serious...
Great uploads lately man I'm hooked
Thank you heaps! I appreciate it a lot!
Yeah, some of these ads weren’t creepy but downright funny like the one in 9:28 made me laugh uncontrollably. Awesome vid 🔥🔥
Haha thanks heaps!
Funny enough, Duck and Cover PSA would later on be sampled on an Atom Ant groovie Cartoon Network aired on their channel, its crazy lol
1:38 the Baby PS3 commercial ismt weird as the PS2 commercials both print and TV.
I guess the audience kinda watered down after the early 2000s
a psa i saw that so far hasnt been mentioned in any psa iceburgs, brings light to child SA, and basically has the message "if you know its happening, do something"
it shows a maid cleaning a kitchen with a baby monitor nearby, where we hear a young girl playing before her dad comes home, where right after all you hear from the baby monitor is... well.. you know.. with it panning to the maids face as she breaks into sobs, but doesnt do anything to stop it, with a narrator (or text) stating to do something if you hear something (along those lines)
its probably the most disturbing PSA ive ever watched, everytime i watch these kinds of videos i cant get this PSA out of my mind. it was just so sad and disturbing to hear and watch
I saw the commercial with the giant termite and the commercial with the dirt devil vacuum as a kid. Ngl, they freaked me out at first, but the dirt devil one had me facepalm laughing at the end.
Fun fact: dumb ways to die recently just had its 10th anniversary
That Nintendo Yoshi’s Island ad looks like a beat for beat rip-off of Monty Python’s Mr.Creosote sketch.
excellent video also they used to advertise the dawn is your enemy on normal tv it lasted for 5 seconds but they did advertise it for some odd reason
Edit: it was used to advertised adult swim on the vindaloo player which was ironic because they played it many different times during the day
FINALLY SOMEONE TALKED ABOUT THOSE CREEPY ASS TROLLIE ADS!!!!!
Just noticed that the 'gang members' in that Skate Rink add look a *awful lot like* Link and Rett from Good Mythical Morning and can't let that go. Lol
Zach for most of this video: “who thought this was a good idea…..?”
Truly a great christmas special
It doesn’t sound like much, but I remember an ad that my mom and I both hated. It was just a sort of psa about babies getting whooping cough and all that happened was the sound of a baby coughing, but I swear that is just the worst sound on earth. I’m the least maternal person ever and that sound still just activated every nerve in my body
I've seen that one too!
@33:10 "... that barely even resembles the toy"
It looks like the original, which was literally just a set of pins you were supposed to jab into real potatoes
The Baby Bottle Pop commercials from the early 2000s live rent free in my head lol I’ve never seen the one with the rapping babies tho
Unironically I love the Barambo song. Even tho I have no idea what it says, I just want a full version lol. It's a parody of Something Stupid by Frank Sinatra
The snickers ad seems like it was a reference to (or at least inspired by) the book Miss Nelson Is Missing
Yk what's funny abt the crying Indian add? It wasn't even an indigenous man, it was an Italian American actor named "iron eyes cody" who mainly played indigenous characters in film. So yeah 😃
The grub hub entry is probably about Mat Pats film theory about the grub hub ads and how it’s related to jimmy neutron
Also, I love all the menu music from the Sonic Mega Collection for PS2.
its ads like these that remind me how bad it is that drunk crashers give us drunk drivers a bad name smh
Anti smoking ads are always so wild
notice how every entry ends with a "who thought x was a good idea"?
honestly only happened a few times out of over 130 entries but alright
Amazing content from such a small creator, hope to see you explode soon
Thank you heaps!
another psa that is disturbed me is called Sunday brunch. i don’t remember what happened but the message was “keeping a crime a secret is the equivalent of committing the crime yourself”
edit: the mom 🔫 her kid
In the PSA, her sons were talking about a shootout that happened/would happen, so, by not saying anything to the authorities, it was like she was allowing the killings to happen, so that's why it ends the way it ends
@@PedroLima-ku3em thanks
The Aardman Lurpak ads are pretty cool ngl
What a nice Iceberg but like it's just weird how they come up and about I mean the weird animated Knight Ad where the little character dude looks like Jin Kazama from tekken but in a americanish way is just weird to me and he's in a lot of Ads all the time pretty commonly.
