Hey everyone! I am blown away with how well this is doing and I can’t thank you all enough. I wanted to pin this comment to clear up some things I’ve seen mentioned in the comments a lot: “Kith” is kiss pronounced with a lisp and I use it to talk about *those* movies I pronounced Hostel wrong Salo is not a true story, it’s a fiction adaptation in a true setting much like apocalypse now Rest In Peace Junko
In my freshman year in highschool, during my P.E./health science class, a police officer came in to show our class the dangers of distracted driving. I thought it was going to be one of those speeches you hear on commercials and all throughout elementary and middle school, but it wasn’t at all. The police officer said he was going to play a video and warned “if you are queazy and not good with blood, you might want to leave the room.” He played the video, which was just a collection of photos of accident aftermaths. The images started not too bad, like scrapes and just pictures of the cars, but it eventually got to pictures of people’s faces peeled off by asphalt, impaled by trees, missing limbs or their entire lower body, and with their bodies and skulls opened. I definitely don’t think it was legal to show some 14-15 year olds that kind of footage, but boy did it stop people from wanting to text and drive (or even driving to begin with).
I had one of those in my driver's ed class back in like 03? It was from the 50/early 60s and it was all "highway 59s". And I guess a highway 59 was a code for car crash. And it was just all this footage of people mangled in car wrecks.
Yep we were showed pictures like this long before texting existed in the 80’s. Back then the message was to wear your seatbelt. I think it was even before “don’t drink and drive” messages. I am getting old! 👵

Curtisy of Chat GPT. Here's a rough outline of a song about a lost tarantula trying to find its way home: Verse 1: Our little tarantula was feeling free She scurried out of her cage, just to see The world outside, so bright and new But she didn't realize what she was about to do Chorus: She's lost, she's lost Trying to find her way home She's lost, she's lost But she won't be alone Verse 2: She wandered through the grass and the flowers Hoping to find a familiar tower But all she saw were strange sights and sounds She couldn't find a way to get back to her ground Chorus: She's lost, she's lost Trying to find her way home She's lost, she's lost But she won't be alone Bridge: But then a kind soul saw her all alone They picked her up and gently took her home And when she saw her cage, she knew she was found She was safe and sound Outro: Our little tarantula was glad to be back In the place where she felt most at home She learned her lesson and vowed to never roam But she'll always carry the memories of being lost, but not alone
Rest in Peace Junko. I watched a video about what had happened to her a year or so ago and I was so angry. the Japanese government gave the boys new identities because they were underaged, and a reporter released their actual identities and said something along the lines of any human that can do those things to another human being needs to be known as a danger.

fun fact: human centipede 2 was not shot in black and white for art purposes. it was actually shot in color, but was so gore filled, violent, and gross, that it would have been X-rated and would have caused them to lose a lot of money. so just by converting to b&w, they were able to save the R rating
A little fun fact: NC-17 (called X rated until 1990) movies aren’t widely released in theaters almost exclusively because of the movie ‘Showgirls’. It lost so much money, that now theaters just avoid showing NC-17 movies. Edits are made to make a film R rated so theaters will feel like they can actually get the crowds in to see them. ‘This Film is Not Yet Rated’ is a great documentary about how movies get their ratings and the effect that has on culture. It touches on ‘Showgirls’ and the X rated/NC-17 rating. Edit: extra fun fact - ironically, because of what the documentary has to show, the documentary itself is rated NC-17.
Wouldn't this kind of movie make more money by attracting attention through controversy instead of appeasing MPA R rating? Sorry if its an ignorant question. I never saw the movie and neither did anyone I know at the time

the fact that someone looked at the details of the case and then decided to make a movie about it just to reenact it is very disturbing to me, more than most of the other stuff here. most of the other things are just gross to be gross, or people going "wouldnt it be fucked up if we made this into a movie" and then doing it, but they arent real. they're fictional to the point of absurdity because listening to the plot you think "this is completely unrealistic who would do this" but with her case its real. it happened in real life. those were real things that happened to a real girl and to make it a movie just for the fuck of it all is so deeply insensitive and honestly just shameful imo. the others, i dont care, they're fictional and im not your mother. i dont get them but its not meant for me. but to take such a disgusting and tragic case that happened to a real person and try and remake it for entertainment is deeply unsettling. sorry to rant under your comment, i just get very upset over her case. she was younger than me.

@mercury_stuck_in_1984 They don't get necessarily more depraved further down the iceberg, but definitely more obscure/illegal. Also, the stuff further down is largely real footage, captured footage if you will, as opposed to being filmed on a set with a director. Sheen saw what he thought could be real, but wasn't, and the lower tiers are real and effectively won't get into the hands of a person like Sheen unless he goes out seeking it, and thus would know ahead of time what it is. Honestly, I think the Vomit Gore Trilogy deserves to be much lower due to the real depravity. Sure, some of the scenes are fairly campy with the use of literal dolls, but a lot of it is functionally abuse, as consent is reliant on the sanity of the party consenting, and no sane person would consent to these things. Sure, ethically gray area, but to film it, give it the loosest of plots in existence, and distribute? It's absolutely depraved.
In my opinion, and keep in mind, never met her, only learned about it online. Junko was not given justice. Japan failed her. While young at the time, her captors should have been treated as adults and never should have seen the light of day.
I think it’s safe to assume 99.9% of people who know about this would agree with you. Those boys should not have gotten away with that. When you mentioned my home country (Colombia) I was shocked. Unfortunately the type of violence and desensitization of death is still very common even nowadays. The city I was born, in for example, has many shootings or fights going on casually on most public places. I remember my grandma mentioning the time a guy was murdered in broad day light in a major super market of the city and the next day people were going back there to buy their groceries. There is also the major type of violence, with car bombs being put close to police or government departments on the weekly. It’s very unsave and stressing, although I’m hopeful things will change for the better. I encourage everyone reading this comment to educate themselves in this type of violence a country can be put through, but most importantly to look into our culture and art for its filled with inexplicable beauty and perseverance that not even the tragic situation of now can over shadow.

What gets me about Salo is that none of the actors were actually exploited. They reportedly were having a great time during filming, and didn’t pick up on the dark tones of the film because movies aren’t usually shot in order. Like they were all cracking jokes and goofing around on set, and then when they saw the actual movie they were all pretty shocked by how disturbing it turned out.

Me: Oh wow, it’s getting late. I better go to bed. TH-cam: How about an hour and a half long video detailing the most disturbing movies you’ve never heard of? Me: Yeah, sounds great
Dude this is exactly what happened to me. My minds creativity and curiosity then stopped me from going to sleep so I had to watch a happy video of a guy chopping wood.
The story of what happened to poor Junko makes me tear up every time I’ve read about it. That poor girl and her family never got justice. As a mom, my heart absolutely aches for her parents.
I’ve heard that the guys who did it to her keep getting new identities and then subsequently having said identities leaked on 4chan. It’s nothing compared to what they deserve, but I doubt that they will ever be able to live normal lives. Edit: messed up my sentence, edited for clarity.
I can't help but feel angry at her parents for what they did... any good parent would sacrifice their own life for their kid, yet they cowered at home knowing their kid was missing because they were scared of the yakuza. No one is perfect, but that... I can't forgive that.
That Junko one really got to me, especially after reading about all they did to her. Those boys are the purest incarnation of evil and deserve life imprisonment. If you're old enough to have the mental capacity to do that to someone, you're old enough to spend the rest of your life locked away from every living thing, I hope she's at peace.
I’m surprised no one has taken the real justice into they’re own hands. But then again the Japanese stick to themselves from what I saw in the investigation.
@@guardianofthevirginrealm7469 These boys or at least some of them are from Yakuza families so it should be obvious that the general public doesn't want to get involved in that. However knowing that japanese people are very focused on honor and family honor I don't really understand how the families haven't done it themselves.
What happened to junko furuta is very similar to what happened to a girl called sylvia likens back in the 60s in the us. Unfortunately she never got justice either because since a majority of her murderers were barely teens they got light sentences. May junko and sylvia rest in peace
I’ve seen it . It’s garbage . All the vomits real and apparently the director shoved his member down some of the actresses throat too make them be sick . There’s 3 other vomit gore films . After watching the first I have too say it was probably the worst horror I have ever seen . Total waste of time .
Learning about what happened to Junko is probably the biggest sledgehammer that can be taken to your mental health, knowing that such wickedness can walk this earth without repercussions is just… god damn. What an absolute failure and affront to Justice.
I know this was four months ago but heres something to make it worse. So my friend was researching the junko while on call with me. Well when we searched up an article for it, page 2 of google, we found this hentai website. Being confused as hell we clicked on it and low and behold, they made her death into a hentai. Sickening

Gosh, I remember seeing Faces of Death on the shelf of the horror section of a Blockbuster when I was a little kid. I had a "talk" on Deviantart with the creator of Where the Dead go to Die. He's actually a pretty chill dude. He explained that he really had no ill intent, and was on a whole bunch of drugs while making it. It was an interesting conversation.
@@lilsquiddymcinky Well, he said that it started out as a parody of Lassie, with a laugh track and everything. But when he realized that what he was writing about was a bit more...depraved, he decided to drop the parody angle. I believe he was trying to show how sucky the world can get. He never meant to insult. Plus, he was on tons of drugs, he admits. So he wasn't exactly in his right mind while making it.

@@meIatonin I read that the mom of the guy who kept her at his house knew about it but still didn't tell the police, then there's the fact that they came to the house and thought that "Yeah, you can come inside and look if you'd like" was good enough excuse to pass it by because 'a real murderer wouldn't invite cops inside' is heinous. The crime itself was awful, but the way it was handled is almost more sickening to me.

Here's a rough outline of a song about a lost tarantula trying to find its way home:
Verse 1:
Our little tarantula was feeling free
She scurried out of her cage, just to see
The world outside, so bright and new
But she didn't realize what she was about to do
Chorus:
She's lost, she's lost
Trying to find her way home
She's lost, she's lost
But she won't be alone
Verse 2:
She wandered through the grass and the flowers
Hoping to find a familiar tower
But all she saw were strange sights and sounds
She couldn't find a way to get back to her ground
Chorus:
She's lost, she's lost
Trying to find her way home
She's lost, she's lost
But she won't be alone
Bridge:
But then a kind soul saw her all alone
They picked her up and gently took her home
And when she saw her cage, she knew she was found
She was safe and sound
Outro:
Our little tarantula was glad to be back
In the place where she felt most at home
She learned her lesson and vowed to never roam
But she'll always carry the memories of being lost, but not alone
That's canon, actually ✨

After tier 4 I don't even recognize these films. The exception is faces of death. Even tier 4, I mostly just recall hearing about a few of them.
fun fact: human centipede 2 was not shot in black and white for art purposes. it was actually shot in color, but was so gore filled, violent, and gross, that it would have been X-rated and would have caused them to lose a lot of money. so just by converting to b&w, they were able to save the R rating

It's like the James Burger case in England. The victim was a little baby (think he was 2), and the murderers were 11. They initially received a decent punishment, but it was overruled and they were given a very easy, light sentence in a youth detention centre. England is such a fucking nanny state. The city I was born, in for example, has many shootings or fights going on casually on most public places.

One of the worst parts is all the men who did that to her are free
One of her murderer’s is actually active on Twitter & he talks about how he feels haunted by Junko’s spirit. What a pos he is.
@@michaelacaleb7919wait really? what's his username?

Learning about what happened to Junko is probably the biggest sledgehammer that can be taken to your mental health, knowing that such wickedness can walk this earth without repercussions is just… god damn. What an absolute failure and affront to Justice.
Junko's story was what put me off true crime podcasts and all that for good
Yes, the one who was tortured in the worst ways possible for down a guy, and died without consequences to her killers.
He’s didn’t even get into the worst of it, I wouldn’t research it. It’s the one crime I’ve seen that just breaks me she was so sweet
I know this was four months ago but heres something to make it worse.
So my friend was researching the junko while on call with me. Well when we searched up an article for it, page 2 of google, we found this hentai website. Being confused as hell we clicked on it and low and behold, they made her death into a hentai. Sickening
@@waitamiactuallyhere not trying to sound edgy and shit but that was obviously gonna happen.
This is one of the only “horror movie” iceberg tier list videos that didn’t keep me up at night. Your humor mixed in between the horribleness and your refusal to go into full detail really helped make this tolerable. Thanks, dad 👌🏻
Agreed. I didn’t expect it to get this dark fuck, but his personality saved it
Yes! I really appreciated that
Yeah thanks for not going into details or visuals

32:00 So I'm at a really rough place with my dad right now, trying to figure out if I want him in my life. I literally started crying when Wendigoon said 'hi son' and all that other stuff, cause that was the kind of relationship I never had with my dad and always wanted. Thank you. I needed that today :)

*Literally what feels like 900 hours later*
Next..... Puke Gut Slasher Dog poop Doo Doo Curb 5

At that moment I knew we were in for a ride.
If you think Saló is bad, wait until you read the actual book. Couldn't read the whole thing, I hated the tone it had
I only read one short story by Marquis de Sade
and found it utterly boring.
I guess it's just not for me :p

But new to the channel and love ya man! Great stuff

Gosh, I remember seeing Faces of Death on the shelf of the horror section of a Blockbuster when I was a little kid. I recalled spotting it by chance while I was speed walking through that section since I liked looking at how the holographic spooky looking snowman in that section would change with movement. Looking back on it... The local Blockbuster might've had some pretty messed up stuff available for the public to rent?

Junko Furuta suffered so much and her murderers get to live.. Disgusting. And to someone profit from it..
reading about her case is the most disturbing thing I've ever read, because it actually happened, and because her torturers/killers are free.
@@ComfortableTool86 I don’t get how they got anything other than life. One of them got 7 years and instantly got another sentence when released for assaulting someone for 4 hours whilst threatening to kill them bragging about how they’ve done it before. Death penalty or life, there is no reason for anything else
@@beliac7712 It’s because Japan and many other countries have different legal standards for minors. They were all under twenty or the age of responsibility so they really couldn’t throw the book at them.
I'm a true crime junkie and no case has disturbed me as much as hers. May Junko Furuta rest in peace.
The fact that they are free today is baffling, I was absolutely disgusted when I read her story. Pure insanity.
this is my first time here, and i already fall in love with this channel instantly.
The last ones aren’t even horror movies. They are just someone’s disgusting fetishes being made into a movie. The only horrifying thing about them is that someone actually came up with these disgusting ideas and decided to make a whole movie out of them.
@@Chika_Hakozaki Well the 'kith' part is mostly extreme scat/puke and (borderline) bestiality stuff which isn't really horrifying but more just disgusting.

i found her story on accident while i was in middle school and that was the worst shit i ever read at the time... to add onto the flame, i saw photos of her body as well and they were horrible. she didn’t even look identifiable and she was covered in blood and burn marks it was brutal-
@@meIatonin Yeah, I paused this video the other day to look it up and look more into the case (I don't know why, morbid curiosity I guess) and I can't believe that kind of evil exists in the world. I didn't see photos, after I found the Wikipedia entry about it I was put off of it and didn't go digging further. That's probably one of the worst true cases I've seen and the fact that someone would make a film exploiting her death for shock factor is absolutely disgusting.
@@meganmullis5386 i full heartily agree with you, i’ve search up and have seen some messed up shit but no other case has stuck with me like that story has. it’s been almost 4 years since i last heard about it and i still think about that case everyday. she could’ve been saved but the shitty system failed her. the guy who made that movie deserves to burn in hell.
She could have gotten out of there and been helped, she could have had a good life despite that trauma, but she never got to.
I mean ...i love horror and disturbing stuff, but when "movies" starts making me hating/fearing, life, death, people and humanity, then it's not entertainment anymore. Then it's just self destructive wallowing in misery.
Learn to swim, see you down in Arizona bay.
@Harold P. Blackwood I agree. But i believe that my comment mainly focused on the non fiction "horror" far down the ice berg. I don't think that any fictitious movie could disturb me. Sad and moved of course, if it's based on true events. But i don't even think that "movies" with gross body fluids and real life death and suffering fits on a list with fictitious horror/disturbing movies. Is it even movies when you paste together a bunch of horrible real life photos/videos from the internet? Should that be lumped together with Nightmare on Elm Street?
That's all horror films to me. Someone had to come up with that
Why I don’t want horror movies. Most of them are super boring and the scary movies are too disturbing and I feel sick half way through.
