    It is called a Jaws harp because it is held in the jaws. It is not called Jews harp. x

      I'm 57yrs old and have always known it as a jews harp. Never associated it with Jewish folk or the religion , just what it was called.

      It is commonly known as both Jaws Harp and Jews Harp. However, the original and true name is Jaws Harp because it is held between the jaws. @@lukasadamson6091
