This is the motherboard I am using. The memory controller is strong enough to overclock 4 single rank memory modules rated for 3600MHz to 3666MHz. I know that isn't a huge overclock over the rating, but this is four 16GB memory modules for a total of 64GB of RAM. I haven't messed around with the overclocking of the processor because it's a lot different than what I am used to with my Intel Core processors. But with PBT enabled it is very fast. I never see the fan on the board spin up to cool the chipset and VRM so it seems like the board does a very good job of staying cool. I'm very happy with my sample of this motherboard.
I did not get a chance to make the video as the motherboard was dead. I guess that after so many reviewers had the board before me, the MOBO got damaged somehow. So sorry, no video. Thanks for watching
This is not a "Review". This is an "Unboxing". For a "Review" I was expecting someone to actually set it up and do load testing, maybe put a big core count chip in it and test the VRM thermal performance, etc. You're not even showing the thing turned on or what the bios looks like. You're just unboxing it and talking about it. *sigh* Back to youtube searching to find someone that actually tests this board.
sorry 3c's In a Pod. My mistake. It all depends on your workload on what system you should purchase. I really like the TR-P systems but my workload requires the PCIe lanes. But if you only need 16 max cores and one GPU The MSI Creation is a good board, just pricey. Also take a look at the ASrock taichi x570. another board
@@MediamanStudioServices Well since last year I’ve been trying to buy to build with a 3950x, an x570 Creator, 64GB of Ram and a RTX 3070... It’s taken so long to get last pieces to where I’m going after a 5950x and RTX 3090... The Lenovo ability to swap out CPU and GPUs plus 1TB of Ram has made it very tempting but I’m worried about keeping it cool in a 2K to 12K encoding, livestream and Davinci Resolve workflow...
Good job man! I appreciate the thoroughness of the the review. I like how you showed the distribution of cpu and chipset pcie lanes. That's what I research first, rather than just looking at what it says on the box.
