- This is our first time playing Ghost of Tsushima, and we can't wait! We're both going in completely blind with Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut on the PS5, and the opening scenes look BEAUTIFUL! In part 1 of our playthrough of Ghost of Tsushima we are introduced to Jin Sakai, samurai warrior who is facing war against the invading Mongols. When the Mongols attack, they do so viciously and capture Jin's uncle in the process. Jin must find away to defeat the Mongols and their ruthless leader, Khotun Khan! Hope you enjoy our gameplay and reaction to Ghost of Tsushima!

In the late 13th century, the Mongol empire has laid waste to entire nations along their campaign to conquer the East. Tsushima Island is all that stands between mainland Japan and a massive Mongol invasion fleet led by the ruthless and cunning general, Khotun Khan.As the island burns in the wake of the first wave of the Mongol assault, courageous samurai warrior Jin Sakai stands resolute. As one of the last surviving members of his clan, Jin is resolved to do whatever it takes, at any cost, to protect his people and reclaim his home. He must set aside the traditions that have shaped him as a warrior to forge a new path, the path of the Ghost, and wage an unconventional war for the freedom of Tsushima.

Hell yeahhhh!! Super excited for this playthrough. Absolutely incredible game. Personally I'm obsessed with the Samurai and all the mythology behind their stories so when this game came out I was absolutely ecstatic.

Remember to always get supplies to upgrade your Katana and always search dead enemies
This game was awesome, an experience you had to have for yourself, just like a lot of game to have come out in recent years

Love this game. Hope you enjoy guys. Yeah it came out on PS4 a few weeks after The Last of Us Part 2 and came out on PS5 not far after. Brilliant.

This is a pretty fun playthrough to see. I hope you are enjoying this game so much. This game is beautiful and it would be hard for me not to travel to every little place and pick up every little thing. This game is technical and has a lot to do. I think you are not bad at the combat considering you play a lot of other games, and you are playing on the highest difficulty. I kind of wish there was a practice mode for you to practice on games like these. I think if there was a practice mode, or if you could go back to where the enemies that killed you were, you could learn from your mistakes, learn the enemies and get better at the combat. you're already not bad and seem to be pretty good at dodging the spears and knowing when and how to strike down the enemies. I think you will get better and get better with bow and arrow with time(You had a couple of head shots). I admire you for wanting to get better and respect how you play. Watching this playthrough makes me want to play more games like this. I enjoy thesherbster's reactions to the combat. I also think the animals in this game, like the horses and the fox is so adorable and too much for my heart to take. You said that 'The Fox and the Hound' is a good movie- I think so, too, but disney movie that tore me heart up the most and still does to this day is 'The Lion King'.I had a pretty good time experiencing this playthrough with you guys and enjoying the scenery and you been immersed with the game. I seriously want to explore more games, especially open world games and samurai games, and this playthrough added to it. My favorite character is Yuna, I think, so far, because she nursed Jin's wounds and is a tough lady. I hope you get more allies and hone your skills more. Most of all, I hope you are able to save Yuna's brother. Sora is a pretty name. I hope there is a sequel to this game and you can do more, like ride a boat if you wanted to.

Oh how wonderful this is such a stunningly beautiful awesome fun game. Back in 2020 when it first launched both this game and The Last Of Us 2 were some of my favorite games of that year both incredible masterpieces enjoy🤗 And also the Iki Island DLC that I recommend you play after finishing the main game is also excellent.
I thought it was going to be some mediocre samurai game, but boy was i wrong. One of the best games i've played in recent years and im more than certain you guys are gonna love it as well.

You were correct about the encounter with Khotun Khan - it is scripted.
I thought this game was challenging enough on moderate difficulty...just sayin'.
Also, I would agree that picking English is the better choice. I saw someone choose Japanese with English subtitles and she missed essentially all of the dialog that occurred during action scenes.
If no one said this yet. You can get his health bar to nothing and he just keeps fighting until u get to 0 also then that scene plays.

You're doing a LOT better already than I was and I was on easy mode 😂. I'm excited to catch up and follow your journey in this game. I never could finish it due to game difficulty. I was interested to hear you chose an Arabian in RD2. I owned one for 28 years, they are incredible horses I was happy to see represented, I still have one of his sons. A 5 year old Gypsy vanner and Arabian cross that I'm training for LARP jousting. The horses in Ghosts of Tsushima are incredible as well. However, for being Samurai horses, they remind me of the Mongol horse ironically. Fun fact: the breed is illegal to export from Mongolia.

Brilliant game and i love this playthrough already. Definitely one of the best games in recent years. BTW i am not sure if anyone else told you this before Caz or if its just me seeing things, but you remind me of Gillian Anderson :D And i mean it in the best possible way so i hope i did not offend you. 7 yo nephew first time was on lethal with his slightly older cousins watching we didn't realise until we embarrassed ourselves changing difficulty

you got to love the flute in this game..., but the the lip sync in the english dub is off, i usually play in japanese with eng sub...
only in FF16 i played with the english on, voice acting was superb in FF16...

I LOVE this game! However, HOW IN THE WORLD did it beat RDR2 in a poll? Haha. This game is awesome, but RDR2 is a life experience. Haha
Also, this game is an English game made in California. The Japanese is actually the dub. So stick with English.
It beat Red Dead 1, we’ve already played RDR2 for the channel, but otherwise completely agree! I was surprised it beat RDR1 as I hadn’t realised how amazing Ghost is, been sleeping on this one! That said, I’ll be playing RDR1 next as I really want to 😁

Please dont. You miss out on the entire immersion of the game. Takes me out hearing odd english by Japanese ppl in the 1200’s. It sounds off and not natural at all.

With the ps5 version they fixed the English lip sync since they made this game mainly for Japanese language dialogue and didn't have enough time to render or code the English lip sync to match the lip movement on PS4 so they fixed it in the director cut but I enjoyed playing in English have a great va cast
It's the other way around. They added the Japanese lip sync
Playing in English is a joke. Worst way to play the game for sure.

@@btnhstillfire Because it will be easier for them to follow and for viewers to follow. Not everyone cares about old samurai films. Plus if you play in black & white you miss all the beautiful colours.
You miss out by using English dub. I HIGHLY reccomend changing that to Japanese dialogue w English subtitles. The dub just doesnt fit right. It feels off in any Japanese movie or game.
