      The XT is definitely a torque monster! Pablo loves it!

    You guys should really learn standing on the bike whilst crossing that water, so much easier. But really enjoyed the video, love that Yamaha! Sounds amazing.

      Happy to hear that you enjoyed the video! 😊 Haha, yeah.. Carl and Pablo do like to keep themselves seated for as much riding as possible on these bikes, just how they like to ride I guess! Thank you for taking the time to comment! ✌🏻

    I wanted an XT600E back when I was 20(1993) but couldn't afford one. Was thinking now it's time to get one. 😅I test rode one back then and remember how easy it was to ride. Almost like my moped.

      The XT is a fantastically forgiving bike! Great fun to ride and that big single produces so much torque that the bike will tractor through almost anything! Now is always the best time to get any bike, if means allow. I hope you are able to fulfill your 20 year old selfs dream and enjoy some time on an XT! 😁

      Thank you for your support Richard! I definitely agree, the XT really does have a nice note from that exhaust! 😁 Thank you for taking the time to comment, always appreciated!

    have had xt 600's for a long time, he needs to service brake calipers regular as the sliding pins can sieze, header pipes are a nightmare to get off if been on a long time as the studs are too small diameter and if not carefull will break in/off, can rust a lot under seat area, and ive got a delkevic tail pipe on mine, it gives the xt a lot more oomph ! but mostly a good old school reliable old bus

      Pablo has been extremely happy with his! We filmed this episode a while back, so he's done some k's on it since then and I have to admit that the XT has been mostly reliable and trouble free for him! The rear wheel bearing collapsed, but in a scenario that meant no real damage to any other components, so he got lucky there and really that's just a maintenance item anyway. I was completely unfamiliar with the XT600 before Pablo got this one, but I have to admit that I'm impressed with them! Thank you for taking the time to comment, always appreciated. 😁 Ride safe bro! ✌🏻

    Love the video. Could you please compare both veterans(XT and DR)? Somehow the internet lacks such comparison. An how would you rate them comparing to CRF?

    • @TheBadIdeaBros

      Thank you so much for your support! ❤️ That's actually a fantastic idea for an episode, as you're right - there's not much in the way of a comparison online! In regard to the two 600s against the Rally, the most notable difference would be how you have to ride them. Both the DR and XT are torque monsters, so will chug their way over most things on the trail, whereas the Rally has to be fed the revvs, so it's working harder to cover the same ground. The Rally really makes up for this by being so light. On technical stuff I have a much easier time on the Rally than Carl and Pablo do on the 600's. Both styles of course have their pros and cons and at the end of the day it really does just come down to personal preference. I hope this helps! Thank you again for taking the time to comment and for such a great question! 😁

      Hi Chris, this ride wasn't on any specific trail so much as a joining up of a whole bunch of back roads roughly in the Oxford area. Kind of around the Wharfedale track. I unfortunately couldn't give you exact directions for this one as we mostly made it up as we went along. Thank you for taking the time to comment!

    What exhaust is on XT600?tnx

    • @TheBadIdeaBros
      @TheBadIdeaBros  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Pablo is running an Australian made Staintune exhaust on his XT. 90% sure that in this episode it was running the baffle, however he does tend to run it with no baffle frequently too. 😂

      Interesting concept Keith! How does one gain experience if they follow your advice and stay off the bike? Looking forward to your response. 😊
