Hi MotoKatTas, It was a shame about Lake Burbury, that too is one of my favourite locations. We're just waiting for my husband's 450MT to eventually get here, and then we'll be set. Hopefully me and my versys-x 300 handle it as well as Troy and his borrowed ride. 🤞

Nothing to thank me for mate, it was a spectacular adventure and one I'd gladly do again! The weather does what it does, it's all part of it. There's no such thing as bad weather; just bad gear and bad attitudes. 😅

I agree with you there Big Bert, that bitumen would be enjoyable on any bike, even a postie bike.😃🏍️

It's honestly been a blast! A flying visit, as it were, so I didn't get the opportunity to do as much as I'd have liked to, but grateful that I have experienced the West Coast RtB trail now!

My advice would be to find a free source online for the wiring diagram and go from there. Alternatively, there are loads of scooter and small cc groups on Facebook, perhaps asking for information there may also be worthwhile? Sorry I can't be of more help!

Honestly not something that I noticed. I did only have the demo bike for a day though, so it is maybe a known issue, but not something I'm aware of sorry. Sorry I couldn't help!

Yes, we've actually been there a few times - both while cycling the Little River Trail and on the motorcycles. It's an interesting little spot!

There's an orange wire with green and other colours with a red connection plug would that be for the rear lights it's right by where the fuel sensor is on

Absolutely agree with you there! This is definitely no Enduro bike, but definitely capable enough for where most of us are riding! As I mentioned in the episode, it genuinely surprised me and I really do quite like the bike! Im sure there would be something aftermarket available, but they're usually a generic fit and require a bit of mucking around to make work. The air box this scooter came with (amongst the pile of parts) had been drilled and mucked around with considerably, I assume in an effort to increase air flow. All I saw it doing was letting in water and debris, the paper filter in it looked like it had had a verh hard time and had water marks. So I actually sourced a standard replacement.

I remember mine having a drain plug, but it's been quite a while since I had this bike, so it's not fresh in mind sorry. Sometimes the drain plug can be hidden behind the cat cover, so maybe there if it's not somewhere obvious? Sorry I can't be of more help!

I do remember having to hunt a bit to locate mine, so thus makes sense. 👌🏻

We absolutely got lucky with the dust! A bit of rain earlier in the day settled it all for us. 😊 The swing bridge is actually a token and I've just realised I didn't include it in the episode. 😅🤦‍♂️

Haha, yeah. We have the full set in the group - 250L, 250 Rally, 300L and 300 Rally! 😅 The Transalp is a bit of a beast, but just doesn't see any use so it's time for it to go to a new owner. Sounds like you've been busy with the XR's! Hopefully a successful wrenching session?

@@TheBadIdeaBros Both of the XR150L top triple clamps need work. One has one ingnition switch mount smashed off, will make another mount and weld it on. The other has the remains of a broken off bolt in a fork tube clamp. At least the stolen bike has been confirmed to turn over.

Nothing overtly difficult then at least. Just fiddle stuff.

Haha, fun is one word for it. 😅 It actually was a laugh, but bloody hard work, especially on the small bikes! This is a trail I'd like to return to for another group ride, as it was an excellent challenge! Ellesmere can absolutely get the same slick, sticky mud. I've seen it personally, but man it must have been bad to beach two 4x4's!

@@TheBadIdeaBros Yeah, both 4x4's with pretty new aggressive mud tyres. Small bikes are probably easier because the power is more controllable and they're easier to manhandle. Mind you a dose of throttle to spin the rubber clear can help.

Small bikes are an interesting beast in these conditions. Enough power for a laugh, but not enough to pull through the worst of it. 😅 A lot of pushing required.

@@TheBadIdeaBros The main thing you need is traction and a tractable engine. Oh, and a sense of humour. That's why farmers use these little machines.

Excellent catch! I belive Carl was flustered and was actually saying the opposite of what he meant, as I know for a fact he initially set off with tc on as an experiment. Again, good catch! You're the first to ask this. 😊

Haha, yes. The 2nd visit was entirely more successful! In all honesty, the 450MT is a lot of bike for the money! So far so good with the two that are in our group, so fingers crossed they will be great long-term bikes! Tha k you for taking the time to comment!

The progression and improvement of the bikes is so noticeable when you take bikes like these out! 😅 That being said, we have both really enjoyed the banger bikes and they've definitely made us appreciate the bikes we normally ride! Thank you for taking the time to comment!

Carl has been extremely happy with the wider footprint from what I understand. There are no clearance issues and it's done everything he's asked of it, so seems to be working well.

So much better, right! The bike should have come with that as standard.

Birdlings is somewhat a rite of passage. 😅 My advice would be to not try it on your own if it's your first go. Lol.

That's a good tyre option for this bike, you'll have loads of fun! Haha, yeah. That view of stones being thrown is a favorite of mine too!
