  • We purchased a DIY front and rear bumper set off ebay to build and install on Lockjaw. We were pleasantly surprised with the outcome.

regarding the rear bumper, if you cut the 4-bolt plate that attaches to body and flip it upside down the profile of the bumper will match up way better with the bodylines of the jeep. And will bring the caps under the taillights way closer to the lights.

What do you mean by this. I’m building mine. And would love it to fit tighter.

I'm adding that same front bumper/ winch setup on my 99 XJ soon! We're going to Bundy Hill orv park on 10-21-23, but I'll probably take my JKU. Come join us!

Nice!! I tell ya what, we have yanked on both front are rear a lot after getting these things buried and they have held up amazing. The paint hasn’t been great but that was completely my fault.
We planned on heading up to the houghton lake, st Helen, Roscommon area that weekend but thank you for the invite!!

Very cool bumper build. Could you provide link to diy bumper?
We're also working a 99 XJ. Looking forward to following along your build..

Here is the exact one I bought off eBay.
We will be posting a video on our next “mod” within the next 2 weeks or so.
      Good luck with your build.

This is awesome. What is the length of the front bumper end to end? I’m thinking this might work for a different 4x4

Just finished mine and rear ended a van the next day. Shut the sh^% out of his back hatch. Nothing happened to mine at all.

About how long of stitch welds did you make before moving to another part of the bumper? I'm currently building this same kit.

I started only doing short runs with the welder but ended up doing as long of runs as I could. Bumper didn’t warp or anything. Weld the hell out of it buddy lol

@@mittenmotorsportsgot the bumper welded up. It's pretty stout once it's all welded. I have to say I am pretty impressed for only paying $112 for it.
The real test will be when I put the winch on and test how strong the bumper is.
