THIS!!!!!! My prayer life increased!! Na you go find God for abroad not like in Nigeria where churches are everywhere and you can easily hear gospel music at public places. It’s well
I understand but it depends on the organization. I have worked in toxic environments with bad managers and colleagues. Infact one of my bad experiences was with a fellow Nigerian. What I advise people is to understand the Canadian workspace which is completely different from back home and try as much as possible to restrict your interactions to only work related issues. In addition Canadians appreciate you respecting their personal space.
I love your videos because you are real. I live in UK and i am not sure if there are companies that have such culture cos where i work the culture is amazing. Team leads ignore gossips, and do more one on ones. I plan to relocate to Canny, i pray for all blessings to be mine. Thanks for your videos❤❤❤❤❤
Nice video Asy...Good to see you are doing well...looking good...please rest well...knowing when God is speaking is key in our every day life. Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉
In regards of management emails at work, is a form of record keeping. In case of any escalation in the future, those emails might serve as a saving grace for the organisation to show the did their job in dealing with the issue internally.
There’s record keeping and there’s proper conflict resolution. Piling records without proper staff management is just a disaster waiting to happen. Leads to high staff turnover and what becomes of the documents or emails?
A lot of people working in Canada don’t like their jobs. Job’s in Canada are so stressful 🥲..Business is way to go! Still stressful but atleast you’re working for yourself. I have seen it all in this Canny land.
I can relate to this working as a Registered Nurse in England with the NHS and coming here to work in Canada has taught me a lot of lessons. Canada may pay more, however the job is not family-friendly and nobody cares how you feel even when you're sick.
That email part 😂😂😂 Like I can’t understand how a colleague (who may be all smiley and chatty with me),can’t simply address a supposed petty issue with me, but straight to management 🙄😏. I sha Dey always send my own email back!, of course with emotional intelligence!. Finally, colleagues are just colleagues, except they’ve proven themselves over time to be Friends!.
I've struggled with most jobs in Canada so far. I've just decided for my mental health to keep most of them casual and take a break anytime their wahala is becoming too much
Welldone Asy, great content as always. I love your videos because you try to be as real as possible and you do not ever take away the place of God in your journey. May God direct you in your next phase. Amen❤ Congratulations on your pr status🎉🎉
hahaha Asy!! God help us! Things might be occurring.. I hardly observe too but once i get to hear I start connecting all the dots as my spirit perceives in a weird way ..Gosh ! pls do a 2nd video
I know the Western workplace experience can be very different because of cultural differences and all. However, even here in Abuja, Nigeria, I experienced a toxic workplace where I managed to stay for 6 months before quitting after God's direction. It was hellish. I didn't still get another job till after 6 months. But the wait was worth it. So, I can relate and I agree with you when you say ALWAYS HEAR GOD. Thanks, Asy, your videos are quite didactic and motivational.
12:41 The people here are not confrontational , so that's the difference. Back home people would confront you in meetings ocassionally. So that's a learning curve especially for people that don't notice a shift in people's moods to sense that something is wrong
The physical exhaustion & time put in for their job I can relate. In 9ja u can come in do small things n go off or u just do few hrs but O’here it’s 8/12hr or overtime shifts. So it’s taxing for many of us who had fairly easy lives back home where we were the bosses. Omo that leg pains & exhaustion is real o. Great you quit o.
Let me explain about the email thing, people lie in the work place, they minimize or deny you told them or didn't tell them something. A unionized setting can be tricky. So Managers/HR find it easier to express themselves clearly in emails. That way you cannot say you were not informed and even if you do, its not your Manager's fault you didnt read your email/circular. Oyibo like facts, paper trail documentation etc to present where need be. If you work in such strict conditions, tread carefully
The record keeping purpose of the email for fact checking is not in contention. The action afterwards is the reason their workplace is how it is. It’s that same reason people complain of being ghosted. They need to learn how to speak before/after the email. If speaking wasn’t important, all meetings would have been done via email and there’d be no need for a secretary to take minutes of important meetings.🤷🏾♀️ Me I don’t take things as right simply because it’s done by “Oyibo”. When I can see that the process is not yielding results.
These are normal conditions here in Canada. They might come across as strict because you probably came as an adult and have worked in your home country where things were different. I feel sorry for people who moved here as adults. I used to see them struggle in the workplace. Infortunetly, I was never in any position to help them because they probably looked at me as a fellow African who should know the African.
@@preciousobah3769 yes they just make it look hard with the way the go about it. You're right....for me the stress they add makes simple tasks cumbersome
@priscillaojeigbo5173 absolutely!I wish I am vastly talented like Asy now lol...but one thing I have learnt over these years,I just ignore their drama,do my job and wr move! I am a registered nurse by profession and e dey pain dem say u dey give dem order lol, when I give,I waka! Don't ever cut corners like dem, they will do it and nothing will happen but you do am first, dem go report you and head their head, never see dark minded people like these people ooo...

The beauty of the situation is that from the start you understood that working in F & B was transient. It’s onwards and upwards with God on your side
Yes oo!! That’s my industry 😄
It is well. Thank God I pray he leads you through.
I can relate with you as my spirit is always restless, when it is time to move it is just time and I do not fight it anymore.
Exactly!!! I try not to suppress that feeling cos it’s a very vital indicator
The energy in the air at my current company is so bad, descernment is important. Prayer is important 🙏

We are together on this😂😂... Dropped my resignation cos d stress is becoming something else so taking off time to chill, restrategize and move again.
I have lived abroad for 16 years. As a matter of fact, my most working life has been abroad. No one pays you here to sit down! You earn your way

Does it mean that there are no office jobs for international students in Canada?
There are jobs but there’s too many people for the jobs available plus as an international student your options are limited with your hours as well
Try the provincial and federal government jobs and job site you need to apply the summer before the job
