Rage 1 wasn't all that entertaining to begin with. It wasn't bad, just...uninspired. It was like the slightly-better version of Borderlands 1 (but I DID like that bladed throwing weapon. Had fun with that!). I say slightly better because Borderlands 1 was boring to me. I enjoyed the second one, just not the first. Rage was just barely entertaining enough to keep me playing it.

Just a general statement here but I've been thinking about this for awhile now ....and I also think it's quite strange how little info is out there on this topic. While many people will tell you that game costs are rising(inflation) and they are, but that's not really the point. Most people end the sentence there, without ever mentioning the rising popularity of digital downloads. Now since you can't find what a game spends on marketing(in most cases, very shady IMO) I wanna know what they are actually saving here. If you want to make the point that games should be more expensive or need paid DLC at launch. I just want the god damn proof, because from everything I've seen if you actually start the project intended on making a solid game. Average budget we will say $50 million is reasonable. GTA5 was reportedly over $500M, but I digress, I'm willing to pay more for my games if I can get some proof they are actually that much more expensive to make.
I hate dlc if they come out at day one or seem like they ripped from the game. Ex: the AK from nuka world. Blanka in Street fighter 4. Battlefront 2. Legendary weapons and outfits at level 1. That kind of thing.

Remembering back to when everyone was asking BethesdEA on the atom shop they said cosmetic was the only thing "here's the keyword" AT LAUNCH so they had this in mind from the beginning not a surprise to me just like Fallout 76 is a cash grab. Also anyone whom says this isn't pay to win is throwing back the kool aid. Fallout has always been the bastard child and being that has never really had any care for the series if Starfield does well it won't surprise me if we won't see anything else out of the Fallout series but with Outer worlds coming out I have no doubt BethesdEA will flop once again and take to the shill armies AKA PR staff (certain content creators) to say how amazing Starfield is.

After I'd gotten a lucky string of legendaries, a friend wrote me "You bought a bunch of packs, didn't you" because it announces to your friends when you get one of those. I was fucking mortified. I've never bought any since then, because it's one thing to have a bunch of plastic minis on a shelf, it's another that people know you buy digital junk.
Now I'm waiting for Bedestha to steal mods straight from Nexus or wherever and then sue the mod author for distributing their content.

It is getting more and more common that these companies wait a month or so after the game releases to start adding the loot boxes in, just after all the reviews have been finished. This is extremely dishonest, done entirely on purpose, and shows just how dirty and greedy they have become.
Rage was one of the most forgettable game I played. Don't play Rage 2 man it'll be shit if it's anywhere close to the original

The problem with rage was that was quite short. It ended the second the cool stuff started... imagine if in F3 the game ended the second you find your father with zero explanation as to WHY he left.

Black ops4 did a battle pass system. About 200 teirs, you can purchas your way as well. Separate skins and camos can be purchased as well. No loot boxes though.
It was a half baked cash grab, which sucks because I do like it....mostly because it is the fallout world which I love...I just wish someone that cared about fallout owned it.
Maybe we are lucky and Bethesda will kill the IP completely and finally feel they can't get any profit out of it anymore, except for selling it... I hope this happens, and then maybe MS will buy the IP for Obsidian, that they can make a great Fallout again.

Robert A Altman, CEO of ZeniMax is running things. ZeniMax is a managment company that runs Bethesda Softworks, which is the publishing arm. Softworks only has VPs (Pete and Friends), so Altman is the one responsible for all these business disasters.

I accepted it with Ubisoft because that just installs through Steam anyway.
I accepted it with GoG because they actually give me something nobody else does, ports of old games to new systems.
But there is no way I'm downloading some bethesda-launcher.
Can't wait for them to not release ES 6 on other platforms and then see it fail miserably. Hopefully they come to their senses before then, but I'm not holding my breath.
