The 695 is still my favorite tractor, not only that you own, but that you have driven in the several years I have been watching. I really like the older equipment.
I also never get tired of the grass work, not the tedding nor the hauling bales. It's slightly better than mucking out most of winter. I think a lot of us watch knowing there will be a lot of the same tasks, but when we don't have access to farming, we watch you for all that. :)
A pleasure to watch the master of the skid steer at work.
🎉🎉 one man and his dog. Where was Biscuit! Sulking after no Berkley show outing
Well done getting your hay in, saved ours this year nice and dry , 4 hours after the last bales went inside it rained. Like your idea on the dual water feed to your trough.
The year I did haymakeing on my own collecting little bales was the most enjoyable year for hay makeing. If we still had the big hay fields I would be more stressed with walking
Excellent update, you have a great crop of hay, and some great looking bales - better to safe than sorry!
Hi Ian, great vid. There is something therapeutic about watching bale stacking! No good thinking "Oh ,they'll be alright!" When it comes bales that you aren't 100% happy with!👍
Good morning Farmer P, nice video!!!!! 😉👍💪
Hi Ian, I think I'd have left the 2nd. load on the trailer backed undercover for the night, no sense in double handling if the 1st lot are too fresh. But either way better safe than sorry.
The big red ants we have here attack en mass and bite through clothing, my poor feet sell up in no time and drive me nuts itching like made, the bites take ages to heal as shoes rub the scabs off all the time.
Stay safe out there and enjoy your walkies.!!!!
A very good Friday evening to you all
Hmmm🤔you brought this up other hay days of past . Better safe than sorry .
I wouldn't want a fire either .
Pleasant day .
Suppose to be 104 degrees here .
I am in a nice cool room . Time going fast .
Keep cool and safe .
Take care of yourself Nancy, I don’t envy you 104 degrees…
Myself and partner are really enjoying your daily videos. I never imagined how hard a farm can be for just one person. Don't, wear yourself out but keep the video,s coming.x
It can sometimes be long hours on my own Linda, sometimes I get offers of a bit of help, but the family are busy doing their own things too. 🙂
Good evening Ian.. can i say having Gorilla glue on standby for water leaks.. Obviously the water activated type... i put a hole in a radiator put some glue in the affecting area then squeeze the tubes shut.. 20 mins later tipped up the water and it hasn't leaked since but new rad at the standby just in case. I calling it an experiment 😅🤪.. stay safe 🏴
Good to get it all in even if it is a bit tedious.
I remember you saying the bales would be the slightly bigger this year so my guess was 85, I believe. I do know just that extra little bit on the outside can be another half a bale.
Oh and when you were unhooking the water tanks, no plumbers crack, sort of reminds me of my grandfather, tucking his shirt in his underwear. At least it looked as if you did. BAHAHAHA. Before you say anything, I am 62, don't think I have ever did it, but will never say never.
Don’t worry about the bale count. I’ve always said that last 6 inches always takes a lot😊😜
True 😄👍🏼
I think the local dealer should give you a telehandler to try you will never look back
Wow - you're early today! 🙂
A good moisture meter is cheap insurance.
True… which is why the next day I ordered one John. 🙂👍🏼
thats a ouch in the pocket for a new radiator... i go to 'allisport' nephew put me on to them instead of going through third party...
Good work taking your bales in
Evening farmer p mum p abbi holli emma sam bisskit and ur other dogs
Good vlog
How r u feeling now as u said u werent feeling to good?
Sory u have a problem with ur leakage i hope u get it sorted
Love u guys💙❤️💚💜
A farmer must be careful not to get his balls trapped.Getting bales in on your own can be somewhat tedious.Better safe than sorry on the temperature.
True.
When you need Abby she's only there in spirit 😉
Hi Ian, is this one any good for testing the hay? Agreto HFM II Haymeter, was wondering if you could put hay in the barn over by the other farm ( where there is 20T of grain) always nice to see the hay come in the barn before it getting rain on, thx for sharing the life on the farm, best regards from littlle wet denmark
I did not know that the skid steer was a surgical instrument
very good video as always 👍❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned! Mary might be upset?
Dear Farmer P. How many Dave's do we need to construct monikers for these days. We started with "Famous Dave" and his "the Other Dave", We then got "Sam's Dave" and we now have "Dave, the Bailer Man". We will have to resort to "Nack Mac Feegle" family naming traditions (see Terry Pratchet's publication entitled "Wee Free Men", etc for reference), if we have any more "Daves'" to account for. 😎😃
A other fantastic video Ian. How old is your dad's tractor you where using to move the Hay
Best be safe than sorry ian .
Wouldn't it be quicker to cart them with the 695 i know you would have to drop the trailer on off but you wouldn't have to get out the tractor and you wouldn't have to walk.
I don’t mind a bit of walking. The pick up hitch hook on the 695 is too small for our trailers, I can only pull them with the jaw hitch. 🙂👍🏼
farmer p why don't you put the hay trailer behind your dads tractor save you walking back then love your videos its a busy time of year for us farmers im flat out on my farm take care
The 695 pick up hook is too small for the Marshal or JPM trailers.
@@FarmerP oh ok I own both Marshal and JPM trailers both very good trailers
great video has always farmer p ian and Mrs p mother in law p Mikey mille baby pullen Sam emma Abbi and holli and miss biskit miss crumble miss gypsy miss pepper and miss pickle miss Muppet 👍
Not many places left recore radiators now ian its cheaper to buy new getting the glued on end caps of genrally breaks them
40:01 great content again
have you thought about getting a loader for your mxu100
?
As you don't seem to use the front linkage on the Case, and the 3rd service still seems to be lacking on the 695, why not get a good used loader for the newer tractor, and save taking the 695 over the farm.
He has the front linkage for a snow plow for cleaning roads sometimes sure seen a yellow snow plow in his videos
So why harp on about a T5 or 5S ?
@@roba4297
Harp on…?
I liked them both, but £65’000 + to change simply wasn’t worth the debt and worry. I live in world of work with what I can afford.
That's why I remarked about a used loader. The fitter for the third service on the 695 obviously doesn't need the work....... like fixing the brake cylinder.
my calculations show that a 5 foot diam bale is approx 25 % larger than a 4 ft diam bale Ergo ( fancy word time ) your 170 bales are equal to d
What happend today. ?? Our farmer was very early upload?? Strange.
But nice to see he knows how to load those B. B&B's
Balls, boobs and big bales 😄👍🏼
Comment for engagement
continued to about 40 more bales so about 2000 total which is not bad in my mind
No point in spending much on another loader if its only to clear the silage and hay bales back home you will get a farmers son with a 200 horsepower tractor and bale trailer with a loader for next to nothing to shift them home for not a lot of money
I guess that thankfully you are not pitch forking small bales up on to the trailer on your own, thankful for progress i guess.
Done a bit of that when I was a young chap, glad it’s in the past Mike 😄
HELLO: "FARMER IAN" JUST AS ABBI STOPPED WITH TE SHEAPS. YOU HAVE TO THINK WAT YOU ARE GOING TO DO. IT TAKES TO MUTCH TAME.
👍
Whsts cheaper new barn , or an £18 laser thermometer (ebay)
Why don't you put the trailer behind the international
The 695 pick up hook is too small for our Marshall trailer Annett.
That's odd as. Your marshal traler same as mine. I pull a mine with 895 it's tight but it's ok
Prime Days(Amaz0n) are in 5 days. I bet you’d get an infrared heat gun for 10 bob. I just got one for $20🇨🇦 which is only £13. Cheap insurance.
Infra Red would be unreliable Ian. I pushed the boat out and invested in a probe one instead.
😀
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Its spelt different, Nissen.... but im sure you know that by now... 😉
🙏🙏👏🇮🇪🇮🇪💪💪👍👍
Interesting vblog. Why do fields have names 🤔
It's because they always had!
👍👍👍🇮🇪
😱😱🍳🥩🚜🚜👍🏻
If they are 5ft bales u wouldn't get 10 bales on floor of marshal trailer
Hopefully Mary is not the name of a current girlfriend
Is Mary the name of a former girlfriend?
You could do with borrowing @funkyfarmer farmer manager.
