Beautiful farm, beautiful tractors, beautiful crop, beautiful animals, beautiful and gracious people. Some of the very best content on TH-cam. Thank you.
Thank you for showing us how the bailer functions inside. I was curious about it. It is a lot of work yet you make it all look so calming and relaxing. Your drone footage is fantastic and I finally saw how you were multitasking the drone with your tractor work. You have so many practical talents and real-life farm experiences on your "just a few acres farm". Thank you for sharing your life with us. Shalom(Peace)
Great camera angles Pete! Sorry about the drone casualty, but it sure was fun to watch and the extra effort you put into it with the text and your voice-over really shows how you're getting things done. Thank-you!!
I loved the inside look of the bailer! My dad makes round bales as well for his cattle, though he runs John Deere. I had never really seen the mechanics of how those type of bailers do their job.
Thanks for the video! This is my first attempt at baling so I’m on edge. Your videos help tons. I’m in Niagara county and have Dexters. Hope to add another heifer to the family. See you at the market sometime!
I love trying to follow the workings of the machinery. You explain parts so well. A lifetime of experience and knowledge to pass down to your kids. Lucky kids...
Pretty quiet with no monsters... pork chops!! Well, if there's a good side to the extra dry hay not baling as nicely, the mulch left behind will help the pasture grow. RIP drone, you gave us wonderful perspective of the work happening and the lay of the land, as well as the fun of buzzing Patty and company.
I loved the video. Making hay is a very rewarding activity. Growing up in Idaho in a very dry climate I remember going out at 4 in the. Morning to bale while there was some dew on the hay to keep it from shattering, and we would have to quit by 10. It was always satisfying to compete each stage. Cutting, baling and then hauling and stacking. I remember my biggest day. I hauled 30 stacks of hay with our New Holland stack wagon, and our JD 3020. Each stack had 70 bales in it.
Thanks, Pete! I spoke a few words at one of the guys' graduation this afternoon who had cycled out of the program into gainful employment, "T...". It will tickle him when he sees you shirt 'cause we're both Made There! Thank you again for your family's impact on his development across the board. His Mom thanks you, too!
such a dangerous job being a flying cameraman, RIP mr droney mcdroneface. we will always appreciate your scenic views of the cattle and sweeping landscape shots.
Thanks, Pete. A neighbour has lent me a book, 'Ask The Fellows That Make Tge Hay.' Another good read is 'Farmers Glory.' Very best wishes to and for all.
I am soon embarking on starting a small hay farm. I thank you Pete, for your inspiration and I hope to meet you and shake your hand to show my appreciation for what you bring!
Thank you for showing how it works, I was wondering. Love your farm and how you show us the everyday nuts and bolts. I also enjoy all your tractors, so cool.
What a nice job Pete thank you for all the different camera angles it was SO Much FUN to watch this Round Baling action. Really enjoyed it. Keep up sharing the wonderful action
Such a relaxing video to watch on a Sunday, even with breakdowns and casualties you handle it well and keep a calm and collected composure. I hope you plan to make a video similar of loading the hay in the barn “tomorrow”
Hi Pete! I'm not a farmer but love seeing yours and seeing all you and Hilary do. Let's not forget your jokes!!😅😅 I have shared several of them! Keep up the good work. I'll keep rooting for you!
That's one fancy baler...but then again my memory of baling goes back to Berkshire when I think my father was the last farmer to not have a tractor but horses. The horses scared me up close but I loved watching them from a distance while they pulled the baler,
I am always impressed by how well you know the workings and insides of your equipment, especially the tractors. That you diagnosed the problem with the tractor so easily and so quickly is not something that I am capable of.
Pete, sorry about the hydraulic leak and the wrecked Drone.....! All in All you got the Hay baled w/2 hiccups.... I suppose it could have been much worse but we won't go there because nothing else happened. Some things we have to expect to happen but we never know what it's gonna be.....? Things don't always give us a sign they're going to go bad, it's wear and tear on the equipment and it's connections, whether mechanical, electrical, hydraulic or..? Larger Farms have to call in the troops(service people) to get repairs done and it's not cheap...! Thankfully you are well versed enough in the many years of operation that you can deal w/all down times and fix things yourself...! Great day of baling the hay it's done except for the storage..! =)
Loved watching you cut_ bale hay. Reminds me of years gone by. We didn't have a round baler. Just a kicker baler and a wagon, We hired young me to load it. I was little and always wanted to ride on the tractor with my grandpa. Such great memories.
I ordered your book from Amazon. Looking forward to reading it. Watching cutting and bailing with the older (but good condition) equipment is enjoyable. Take care.
Pete. You give us such a blessed perspective on farm life. We have a small farm in east Texas and you have helped me through several farm projects and problems. I’m retired but all is relevant. Inspiring is my takeaway from you. God bless.
Hay making is so fulfilling, food in the barn, clean field ready to grow again (given rain...) and a neat looking farm showing its ability to produce, got to love it. Have a great day.
Just a beautiful farm , thank you for bringing us along . I just enjoy watching you and family keeping up the place that has been in your family for generations . You have a legacy that that one can be so proud of ! Happy peaceful life thank you for sharing again just can't say it enough make my day
POSITIVE COMMENTS LOL, I just got done watching Tyler @ Farmer Tyler Ranch do his hay bailing- and yes he mentioned you in the video 😊 Interesting the different concerns, conditions and the way things need to be done between Northern California and where you are at. Sorry about the tractor but I know we will be seeing and learning about what’s needed to fix the situation. And I’m sorry about the drone but those last shots were really interesting and cool (yep, I’m dating myself🙃). Your drone shots are always good and help bring perspective to what you are doing and showing us. As always I enjoyed and learned something new. 👍🏼
So often the video's are really enjoyable and entertaining thanks for sharing. You all appear to have been able to create such a full and filling life which everyone else should understand didn't just happen overnight. Thanks for sharing.
You can always count on something needs fixing when baling hay it seems. The drone finished it's life with honour. Filming right to the end with excellent video.
Pete you got dirty the way we used to on the farm! My uncle had an Allis Chalmers small round baler then a New Holland big round baler which eliminated a lotta manual labor. Enjoy your videos!
I can hear the stress in your voice, Pete. We generally don't hay until beginning of July. But seeing videos like this already has my nerves going. It's my favorite time of year and also my most nervous time of year. Take care and thanks for the great videos.
Another great video; I learn something new with every video. The fact that you have repaired and or rebuilt your tractors yourself let’s you know just by sound, sight, or feel what might be wrong with a tractor and the fix needs to be. Marvelous and talented. 👍🏻👍🏻
Loving your last two hay baling videos. Seeing the close ups of machinery and the birds eye view. Photography is superb! I live in Indiana, and we have high temperatures and low humidity right now, I assume the hay is dry right now too.
To hear "hi this is Pete welcome to Just a Few Acres Farm" means it's going to be a great Sunday morning. Thanks Pete you are the best.
Beautiful farm, beautiful tractors, beautiful crop, beautiful animals, beautiful and gracious people. Some of the very best content on TH-cam. Thank you.

Another great video Pete. Thank you so much for taking time to make these videos and sharing them with all of us! 😎
Good morning Pete and Mrs Pete
It's a girl, no! - it's a boy, no! - it's a hay bale!!! Congrats to 25 new additions to your hay barn!
Good morning Pete! My 3 year old and I Iook forward to your videos every day. Keep up the Good work. Great wholesome videos. Thank You Pete
Pete, I know you said you no longer read the comments and that’s Ok, your choice. Watching you work and feed America is a real pleasure so Thank You.
Despite myself, I find that I’m enjoying the machinery side of the operation more and more. Appreciate ya!
God Bless 🙏 all farmer's big or small farms. Thank You.
Pete, it sure was wonderful to join you on the hay field this morning. Thanks for showing up.
How comforting to be able to bale hay on an ideal hay day from in front of my computer screen. I do miss it. Thanks Pete.
I absolutley love all your "old" tractors. They sure get things done.
I loved the inside look of the bailer! My dad makes round bales as well for his cattle, though he runs John Deere. I had never really seen the mechanics of how those type of bailers do their job.
Bailers keep boats from sinking. Balers make hay bales.
Great to see the hay crop all baled. All the best 🇬🇧.
Nice way to start my day, thanks Pete and Hillary
Appreciate all that noise and dusty work on a hot day. Thank you for posting. Best from UK.
Thanks for the video! This is my first attempt at baling so I’m on edge. Your videos help tons. I’m in Niagara county and have Dexters. Hope to add another heifer to the family. See you at the market sometime!
I know you find cutting hay relaxing and for some reason so do we when watching videos you post. Perfect time for thinking
Pete, thanks for sharing and bringing back memories of making the small square bales as a very young man.
I love trying to follow the workings of the machinery. You explain parts so well. A lifetime of experience and knowledge to pass down to your kids. Lucky kids...
Thanks Pete for taking us along on your hay baling efforts. There's satisfaction in fixing equipment breakdowns too! Well done.
Hope to see you next week at the farmers market. We’re flying in from California for the wife’s high school reunion.

Hay equipment. Not if it breaks, when it breaks. Few things in life are a given, but break downs during hay season are a guarantee.
Nice to come along for the ride with you during this busy time of the year. Thanks Pete from Ottawa, Ontario.
Great video Pete. Totally enjoyed the hay coming in. It's great when the whole family works together.
Hi Pete, thanks for a another great hay baling video. So sorry about the hydraulic leak and the loss of your drone. Blessings to you and your family.
I love watching your videos, and love the dynamic that you and Hillary have! God Bless you both and your family!
From all appearances your baler worked exceptionally well. You are blessed!
Frist time I seen a baller like this working, Saw Bales for year s in the field but not how it was done, Thanks for taking me along,
Thanks, Pete! I spoke a few words at one of the guys' graduation this afternoon who had cycled out of the program into gainful employment, "T...". such a dangerous job being a flying cameraman, RIP mr droney mcdroneface. we will always appreciate your scenic views of the cattle and sweeping landscape shots.
Here we go again..... And loving it!
Enjoyed the different angles of the baler functioning as well as the high perspective of the farm. You folk are a part of the backbone of our country.
Thanks, Pete. A neighbour has lent me a book, 'Ask The Fellows That Make Tge Hay.'
Another good read is 'Farmers Glory.'
Very best wishes to and for all.
Love your vids, don't change anything, keep them coming, Thanks Kempton PA.
I am soon embarking on starting a small hay farm. I thank you Pete, for your inspiration and I hope to meet you and shake your hand to show my appreciation for what you bring!
Always wondered if there were any whoopsies with driving the tractor and flying the drone at the same time. Now I know.
Loved seeing the process of making a new baby hay bale!
Love all your videos, nice to see the kids out there with mom Hillary.
Sorry Droney RIP!
ASMR Hay baling, aaahhh. The hypnotic purr of your tractors is magic.
The engineering to manufacture a reliable baler is fantastic!
Thanks, Pete, for the insight into round bale mechanics and technique; and the many factors that go into it.
Such a relaxing video to watch on a Sunday, even with breakdowns and casualties you handle it well and keep a calm and collected composure. I hope you plan to make a video similar of loading the hay in the barn “tomorrow”
Pete, I like the way you maintain and care for your equipment. You are an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure kind of guy.
11:35 Love the video of bale gestation.
Love seeing the hay being baled! I'm excited to see the new bale wagon in action next😊
Hi Pete! I'm not a farmer but love seeing yours and seeing all you and Hilary do. Let's not forget your jokes!!😅😅 I have shared several of them! Keep up the good work. I'll keep rooting for you!

I really enjoy your farm life Pete and Hillary. THANKS from Australia.
I am always impressed by how well you know the workings and insides of your equipment, especially the tractors. That you diagnosed the problem with the tractor so easily and so quickly is not something that I am capable of.
Exactly! What an excellent way to start my Sunday morning!

Great video, sorry about the tractor and drone, thanks for class on bailing hey. See you soon.
Hi this is Richard Rose and I'm staying. Thank you, Pete.
The 756 is my favorite tractor on TH-cam!!
God bless.
Pete I am really looking forward to seeing your farm grow even more!
Always have wondered how the bailer works the hay into those huge rolls. Thank you, Pete !
Hay making is so fulfilling, food in the barn, clean field ready to grow again (given rain...) and a neat looking farm showing its ability to produce, got to love it. Have a great day.

Wow never knew how those bails were made. Thank you Pete for the lesson and all that you do!
We own 1 cow and 6 sheep, and buy round bales like these from a local farm. It's interesting to see how these are made. Thank you for sharing!

I could do that all day. How self satisfied you must be. Great work Pete and Hillary
You can always count on something needs fixing when baling hay it seems. The drone finished it's life with honour. Filming right to the end with excellent video.
Having the skill of a mechanic sure is needed on a farm!!
Love the videos Pete. I am definitely getting the urge to go back to NY and start my own small farm. I miss hay season.
I love hay days. Never boring. Thanks Pete.
Wow, not to dry not to wet. Lots to think about. Man Pete always busy and always has a backup plan. Great stuff sir.
I love seeing old tractors that you use
Thanks Pete for sharing the hay bailing day on the farm it’s always good to know when u have your hay in the barn for the winter .
Pete said steampunk 😂

Always a great day when I awake to a new JAFAF video! ❤ to you Hillary and family.
Hi Pete, I’m so sorry Droney McDroneface took one for the team. Maybe you will replace it. Love the drone footage. Have a great day.
With you bailing hay, it never gets old. I enjoy everything about it. Faults and all..😂
Some days are like that. We always enjoy your videos.
That was so cool , pete thanks for sharing with us :-)oh guess what , we just got some egg layers ,im so excited :-)
Great video Pete! Reminds me of my childhood. Bailing hay is hard enough without filming it. Great job!
That inside the bailer video was great.
