best to be safe with the bales , there was a guy down here saturday eve just gone ,lost 100 odd tons,plus the barn due to a fire, fire service listed it as self combustion,someone went a bit early stacking

I'm surprised you don't have a self powered wood splitter like everyone uses here in the US. It would save hours used on the tractor, use less fuel, plus keep the tractor freed up. They are fairly inexpensive here but I don't know what they would cost there.
Ian, is worth the time using the tractor to load when you have to walk up and down to the field and now take the splitter off as well. Bringing two bales back on the skid steer make it even better and you could leave the spikes in overnight to test temperature.
I do wonder about having equipment that needs a tractor to power them, when an electric motor or engine could do the job.
Well, the tree guys love a creamegg ones in a day. And when it gets warmer a icecream.😅 if our farmer had a strong telly handler. He didn't need de case. And drove the trailer with his tellyhandler to the barn.

Not If we can avoid it Adam, If we get it right with weed control and everything matures at the same time... I think Reg has had to spray his Barley to avoid too much green stuff. The weather is being uncooperative this year.
If only you had a telehandler, the tree team can't first dibs on both.
