I have been watching this 2002 concert with my dad for the last 20+ years. He passed 7 months ago and I can hear every time we’d sing this song my dad mimicking Bruce saying “let me see those hands”. Beyond blessed we got to see the boss a year ago before dad passed

This was the last song Clarence heard before he died. Bruce played it for him.
I never comment on youtube ... but here ... I just need to share my story.
My dad died from a lung cancer in last december after a big fight of two years.
My parents live in south of France and me I live in the north part of the country.
I couldn't be as close as I want. But after a call of a doctor who told me "your dad will probably not be a part for Christmas... if you want to share moments it's now".
I took my suitcase, cross the country by train and be with my dad two weeks before he died.
I shared moments with him, close discussion and tell each other things we never told before. We saw some video of Bruce (I remember him and me watch Jungleland (New York City Version) live and he told me "on stage, this man, looks like a child, he's happy to be here, it's a great artist".
I remember to listen Land of hope and dreams during my daily shower because I know it was going to happen and those lyrics, damn "You don't know where you're goin' now, But you know you won't be back" ... and after ... "I will provide for you, And I'll stand by your side, You'll need a good companion, For this part of the ride" gave me chills and give me chills right now.
I always had a sad sentiments in me ... and now I'm in depression.
And theses sentences in The Promised Land song is what I feel now "Sometimes I feel so weak I just want to explode, Explode and tear this whole town apart, Take a knife and cut this pain from my heart".
I was never a big fan of these two songs before, now it's different.
Well, dad, I'll meet you in the land of hopes and dream one day ...
People, give me hope as Bruce does with his music !

The most beautiful song the Boss has ever done (tears be flowin')
I was there. The atmosphere was amazing - a crazy mix of a football match, a political rally and a religious revival. This song lifted the roof and when all our hands went in the air at the end, it was a transcendent moment. Greatest concert i've ever gone to and will probably ever attend. Bruce and the band were on fire that night. He even greeted us in English, Spanish and Catalan. His was the balm we were all seeking after 9/11 just a year before.
Max's performance here is mesmerizing. He appears stoic but when he hits those drums, he reveals a deep well of fire and passion and complexity. It's a fascinating thing to watch.
One of the greatest songs ever written right here. It brings me to tears every time.
