Personally I'd just switch everything straight to metric, including km/h and km for distance. Things are so much easier to understand in base 10, which the metric system is based on.

    • @todddenio3200
      @todddenio3200 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're saying it had a top speed of 45 MPH? Sorry but it had a cruising speed of around 45 MPH but it was capable of much faster than 45 MPH but the roads werent. Top speed for that car was actually around 75 MPH but it could not maintain those speeds for long periods. A friend and I got his 29 Dodge up to 60 mph but it couldnt hold that speed for long because it was redlined and we didnt want tto blow the engine. Even a Ford Model T could do 40 MPH top speed. And yes that is MPH, NOT KPH. I'm American and we dont use metrics for speeds.

    Reminded me so much of my dad and I, restoring our 55 Dodge Kingsway v8. Took us almost 9 years working weekends. My dad taught me so much, about the mechanics of the car. I began to love working on our project. But even more than the car, I really loved working with Dad, he had a great sense of humour. Dad talked about when he was growing up, then as a teenager and meeting mum. Dad as mentioned earlier taught me a lot about cars. But he gave me, almost a guided tour of life, cars, people events and the ups and downs of life. The week the car was completed and looked stunning, was also the week of my 21st birthday. I'm now retired, Civil Engineer after 47 years. I'll never forget my wonderful and wise friend and Father. So I had a large frog in my throat watching your video. Thank You Kind Regards

    It did make me smile when you said "as this car is from the 1930's it"s using an obsolete measuring system from the time. With its top speed of 45 miles per hour".
    Over here in the UK we are still using that obsolete system. We are trying to change and most things are Système international but we are still miles per hour on our roads. The British are very stubborn and we like to stick to the Imperial system.

      That obsolete measuring system (miles per hour) also needs to become obsolete in both the UK and the US - the two main countries that still use it. Metric is easier to understand and is used by far more of the world.
