I have to agree, finishes out my top 5 B & D favorites. Had lots of fun dancing to Boot Scootin Boogie back when I dabbled in that past time for a few years as a young adult.
Can't argue either suggestion, and I would be surprised if Neon Moon wasn't next. "That Ain't No Way To Go" is one of my favorites, but I'd also love to see a reaction to a song where Brooks is the lead singer. "Rock My World (Little Country Girl)" would be a good choice, and has a similar feel to the other one they enjoyed so much.
They are great but in fairness, other than perhaps say The Judds who were coming to the end of their run and maybe Montgomery Gentry for a time, who else was there? Most CMA Awards categories usually have five nominees and I think one year Brooks and Dunn only had three rivals it was that much of a struggle to come up with some duos! I always thought for the fun if it and in order to be nominated, Garth Brooks and Holly Dunn should have teamed up together.
@@seanscanlon9067 well the fact that they are the only duo to ever win Entertainer of the Year, and they did it twice, i think pretty much solidifies my statement that they were untouchable.
@@rockzhard2009 Agreed and my opening gambit on my initial post was that they are great but again though, what other duo would be likely to win it? It will usually either be a solo artist or a band with a minimum of three members, like Dixie Chicks for example.
Sometimes the cover is way better. There's plenty of them to prove the point. "I will always love you". Whiney took it from Dolly and did not give it back.
BW Stevenson did the original recording in 1973. It is awesome! He passed away at the age of 38 from a staph infection from heart valve surgery. R.I.P. BW. ❤❤❤
Boot Scootin' Boogie, Hard Workin' Man, Brand New Man, It's Getting Better All The Time, That Ain't No Way to Go, You're Gonna Miss Me When I'm Gone, Red Dirt Road, Ain't Nothing 'Bout You, My Next Broken Heart, Hillbilly Deluxe, She's Not the Cheetin' Kind, Only in America, Little Miss Honky Tonk, Neon Moon, Rock My World Little Country Girl, You Can't Take The Honky Tonk Out of the Girl, I could go on and on. Brooks and Dunn have so many great songs.
@@p.j.morris You do get right that Jay was saying during the video that he did not know if the singer was Brooks or Dunn?.....So @54cattleco was basically telling him. I saw B&D in concert in 2007 in 5th row seats. I kept my eyes on Ronnie the whole time they sang My Maria. OMG!!! He is absolutely awesome and totally amazing when he sings and holds that note!!! The whole concert was fantastic, but this song - WOW!! Love your reaction to it! ❤❤❤
My dad always told me that Ronnie Dunn was put on this earth to do one thing and thats to sing a country song. Amazing singer and nobody sounds like him.
Perfection!!❤ That is Dunn. I heard this in person and it was still perfect. That yode qualityl is him flipping back and forth from chest voice to head voice.
I prefer "If You See Him/Her", but they are both really good duets with Reba. I'm also a fan of the entire Reboot album and I don't like country enough to even recognize most of the other artists' names.

I know you've been told this but, Ronnie Dunn went to college, seminary actually, in Tulsa, he was asked to leave because he was singing in Honkytonks around the area, was discovered and introduced to Kix Brooks, the rest is history
I agree with previous suggestions! Neon Moon, Boot Scoot Boogie, That Ain’t No Way to Go all great! I would add: Red Dirt Road*, That’s What It’s All About*, How Long Gone, My Next Broken Heart, Proud of the House We Built, Only in America, You Can’t Take the Honky Tonk Outta the Girl. Keep digging that Brooks and Dunn rabbit hole deeper!
Both Brooks and Dunn started out as solo artists. When they both went to audition for the record studio, the producer told them he'd sign them both if they became a duo. The rest is history
You Have sooo many great songs to do yet. Lost & Found (In a boarder town), How Long Gone, Boot Scoot N Boogie, Hard working man. Neon moon, Only in America, Put a girl in it, Honky Tonk Truth.. And many more.
The most awarded duo in the history of country music! I remember when they exploded on the music scene in the early 90’s and took over everything. You cannot go wrong with these two. She’s not the cheatin’ kind, brand new man, neon moon, she used to be mine, etc, etc, etc
One reason you might be getting so many requests for Brooks & Dunn is they're currently touring (with David Lee Murphy). Definitely check out David's "Party Crowd" & "Dust on the Bottle"!
I've seen them 3 times in concert and I will just say from personal experience that Ronnie Dunn has one of the best voices of all time. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!
Might I recommend another stupendous country duo I think you will love, Montgomery Gentry? Start with “Something to Be Proud of”, or “ Some People Change”. I really want to see how you react to their music, especially the lyrics and message of these songs. After that there are many other songs of Montgomery Gentry you’ll love!
I'm an old rocker that grew up in Alabama, so i spent my share of time in honky- tonks, pool halls, and dives. Between that and my Dad and his love of country music i can't help but love me some country along with my rock and roll. Brooks and Dunn are one of my favorites country bands of the 90s. You REALLY REALLY have to check out "Neon Moon". Studio version is a must on the first listen to the song.
Finally! My favorite country song of all time. If you want to introduce someone to country; this is the song! If someone don't like this, it's hopeless. Check out Little Miss Honky Tonk; try not to tap your toe.

I first heard and saw Brooks and Dunn on a country music award show years ago and immediately loved them. This song is my all time favorite of theirs. Like you, I could listen to this song all day. And that high note is so beautiful. Ronnie Dunn has a gorgeous voice. I had a little crush in him for years. So sexy. I am more of a rock music fan yet their music opened doors to country music. The cinematography in this video is just so beautiful too.
It's Getting Better All the Time and The Long Goodbye are two of my favorite Brooks and Dunn songs but you really can't go wrong with any of their songs. I've seen them 5 times in concert and they are absolutely amazing. They are touring again and if you can go see them. Also Cowgirls Don't Cry with Reba is a great song and video.
Right now, I wish I had the idea. I rarely think of many of these songs until you two pull them out and dust them off. I've always really liked this one...especially the chorus!!
This comes from an era in country that had a little bit of a rock beat. Early to mid nineties. Mary Chapin Carpenter also had a bunch of great singles with this beat - check them out!
They have already done "Down to the Twist and Shout" by her... That said, I agree, they need to do more.... I would like to see them check out her song "He Thinks He'll Keep her"... Just so Rob and Amber ask who are the (All Star) back up singers.. They might recognize Patty Loveless, Emmylou Harris, and Trisha Yearwood and maybe even Pam Tillis, but they probably have not even heard of Kathy Mattea, and Suzy Boggus...
Neon Moon and Boot Scootin' Boogie must get a reaction.
They should do the George Strait cover of it.

Neon Moon!!! Such a beautiful song.
