I played this song for my 5 year old niece named Maria about two weeks ago. Big mistake 😂 I have heard it about 10 million times since then. She has been listening to it on repeat since then.

You need to check out one of their songs sung by Kix Brooks. My fav is 'You're gonna miss me when I'm gone' but 'Lost & found' & 'Rock my world little country girl' are also great tunes.
You're gonna miss me when I'm gone is a pretty great song and would give them a chance to hear the other half of the duo, nice suggestion was going to reccomend the same thing.

The part where he hits that high note and holds it so effortlessly reminds me of “Shambala” by Three Dog Night. It looks like you haven’t gotten around to this great rock band yet. If you do check them out, you’re in for a treat. Three lead singers. I would recommend starting with “Joy to the World” (not the Christmas carol) and “Never Been to Spain”, partly because those are my favorites but also because they’re so different from each other.
Intereseting you mentioned "“Shambala” because B.W. Stevenson also did that song as well as "Maria" back in 1973. Incidentally, they are both by the same writer also. Daniel Moore.

I saw Brooks and Dunn last year live and believe me it was one of the best shows I've ever seen
I actually remember the original of "My Maria" by B. W. Stevenson in 1973. Always loved this song. I was not familiar with the Brooks & Dunn version. Austin Brown & Tim Foust from Home Free did an awesome version of this song recently. Hope you will check it out.
Many of us (of a certain age) 'missed' B&D - both My Maria and Neon Moon - which Austin covers magnificently.
Generally, the original is always better than covers, but as good as the original is, Brooks & Dunn really do a great job with this. I think I like it better than the original. And I don't say that often.
BW Stevenson did it better. If you like this better, you're likely a country music fan. B&D are grateful for all the country fans. 😉
@@Jims_Camera_at_dawn B&D have too much whine in this song for me. BW has an amazing amount of 'twang', but not the whine that B&D have. Austin and Tim have the twang, but not the whine - at least nowhere near what B&D have.

One of my favorites even though I didn't listen to ANY Country Music until the early 2000s at the very end of their popular years. That's one thing I appreciate about ya'll's generation of music fans - you guys give "alternate" genre's a chance, mine did not.

Don't over think country music or early music. There's not much hidden in the lyrics. What you hear is what you get. This is also a cover.
I tend to be more of a metal/hardrock/classic rock guy. But i will be honest with ya...i have quite a country collection as well. Brooks n Dunn are a good chunk of it!

A couple of songs you should check out by Brooks and Dunn are Red Dirt Road and to hear Kix Brooks sing lead When We Were Kings. Both amazing songs that absolutely grab you and pull you in.

I heard you like "one mic-one take" songs in a previous video you enjoyed, so I would love it if you reacted to a Welsh(like Ren) group called Cardinal Black and their original, live number entitled; "Cardinal Black- I'm ready (live one mic One take)". Trust me, you'll love it. The lead guitar is played by a guy who was voted "Best Upcoming Guitar Player In The World" in 2017/18 and the vocals by Tom Hollister are once heard-never forgotten. Please try this, it shows how much fun the whole group are having while doing the recording.

I noticed that you guys are using the same set of ear buds. I have to tell you that you're missing a lot of music by splitting up the music . To truly experience the music the way it was meant to be played you have to listen to it with a set of headphones . You're only listening to only half of the music . Once you realize what you're missing , you will want to go back and listen to all the past songs and appreciate what you missed .
