I didn’t know y’all’s story and when I heard y’all talk about it and knowing the song I started crying. Way to stand up and be a great father and role model for your kids.
My little girl is 37 and still calls me daddy. We see each other every day. I pick up my grandson up from school every day. Bless your family, much respect from a grandfather in Texas.
All the things you two went through as young adults during that time carved out the man and woman, husband and wife and proud parents you are today. And that's why you so many friends and followers today. You both are amazing human beings. When I watch you I dont feel like I'm watching a reaction video, I'm watching videos with friends. Keep it up, oh and Kenny Chesney has several songs like that. Smile Jay
That LOOK between the two of you at 6:12… that’s what keeps us coming back. It’s not only your reactions to the music, it’s your reactions to each other that makes this channel special! Also, gotta point out the masterclass of songwriting this song is. In verse 1 he says, “so much for… hanging out on the Coast” and in the bridge, “she headed off for the West Coast.” Implying that he sacrificed his dreams so that she could have hers. Sheer brilliance.
Exactly, the coast reference is brilliant - and I've often thought about that when listening to this song. As well as the evolving meaning of "There Goes My Life" itself. It's just such a well written lyric.
Jay, your a perfect example of what a good father is. Your love for your wife and children is true and refreshing for some of us who haven't seen it in a long time. Both of you are excellent parents.
When I dropped my daughter off to college, we both held it together pretty good saying goodbye with a hug. The minute I turned away I went into tears like I've never felt before. I turned around for one last look and she stood frozen in tears. Once in the car I had to sit there for 30 minutes because I couldn't see out of the windshield. You are blessed beyond what you realize right now Daddy!👍🏻
Rob you would enjoy Kenny Chesney’s. Boys of Fall it’s about the lessons that football teaches us and how we apply those lessons in life off the field. When kenny released this song he also did a 6 piece episode may have been more for ESPN about this song, he interviewed NFL players, coaches and even high school athletes. If you notice a lot of his concerts are done in football stadiums, he was a high school football player. I’m not sure if he played some college but had to give it up cuz he was just to small to compete with the big guys. He went to school at Tennessee.
yes, Boys of Fall. The team he played for was Gibbs which is the light blue team with G on the Helmets. The game footage is against the high school that my son graduated from and a rival.
Hello, I've seen quite a handful of your likes and comments on my post and I just want to appreciate those people whose comments and good wishes encourages me and my team, we hope to bring you guys so much happiness,
This song means a lot to me. I got pregnant with my oldest son at 20 yrs old. Before I got pregnant I had dreams of going places and doing things but I wasn't brave enough to go get on a plane and go do it then I got pregnant with him...That boy and his little brother are my life since they were born. Fast forward 20 yrs later and I'm taking him to the airport to go to a big concert in Baltimore Maryland for a week and as I am walking out of the airport what do you think started playing over the P.A.? Yes, you guessed it..."There goes my life" He went out and did the things I dreamed of...
😢 I had my first of two daughters when I was barely 16, and the way it shaped my life is immeasureable. I wouldn't change a thing! P. S. They're 52 and 37 this year, and I couldn't be prouder of the beautiful and amazing young women they've grown up to be! ♥️👍🌞
Hello, I've seen quite a handful of your likes and comments on my post and I just want to appreciate those people whose comments and good wishes encourages me and my team, we hope to bring you guys so much happiness,
I'm a Dad who went through all of this. I cry everytime I hear this song. Ya have to let them go...So they a can be the amazing women they are....It sure is hard.
I played this so.ng at my wedding for my step dad. he raised me as is own from 2 years old on and gave me the best live he could working 3 jobs. When we started our father daughter dance he heard the opening beat and said to me I have always loved this song I said to him I k dad and it aways reminded me of you and he broke down crying.
This song came home on the way back from dropping our son off at college 4 hours away from home. The wife and I were bawling our eyes out. We were just 21 when he was born
I love Kenny Chesney and his "No Shirt, No Shoes, No Problem" is as close to perfect an album as one could find. I really think you would both enjoying reacting to "The Good Stuff" or my own personal favourite "On The Coast Of Somewhere Beautiful".
I didn't think I could respect you two more and then I find out more about y'all. I just love you guys. You're starting things off right and doing great!❤
Yes my Dad was my world, definitely a daddy's girl, miss him so much, still times when only your Dad can comfort you and help with whatever happens Not a day goes by that I miss him and wish he was still here 😢 but I do love this song by Kenny Chesney Thanks for sharing your reaction 💞💞💞
I didn't know your history; that just made it better. I was betting I'd see some tears by the end of it, but you managed to avoid that! Seriously, good for you two, making this work. I love watching daddies with their babies, because there are too many bio-dads out there who don't stick around to do it. Nothing but respect for ya. This song reminds me of one by Steven Curtis Chapman called "Cinderella" .
@@lylewicks4112 Agreed, maybe because that was the way I heard it first? I can't say. But yes, UKJ, didn't cheeze it out, they showed the song the respect it deserved.
You are never done with your daughter. My dad is 89 and I see him every weekend and talk to him at least twice a week. And besides, if she’s driving off with your American Express card, you’ll be calling her often! 😂
BEAUTIFUL SONG. I’ve never cried watching u guys b4. Very touching. What a great Daddy. Much respect for you. A man who loves their children the way you do…PRICELESS. Lucky Kiddos❤️❤️❤️
Alabama, the country band from the 80's. Still together today, and still touring. "Love in the First Degree", "Mountain Music", "Dixieland Delight", "Feels so Right", "The Closer You Get", "Take me Down", and "Touch Me When we're Dancing" just to name a few. I don't even like country music, but I LOVE these guys. I've seen them 9 times live. You will not be disappointed.
This song hits home for me! I was a single dad raising my son. He graduated high school last year and just 7 weeks ago he moved 2000 miles away! The hardest thing I've ever done is hug him goodbye when he got on that plane. I cried like more that day then I had in the past 18yrs.
This is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard Kenny has a lot of great music, but this stands head and shoulders above all of it Just goes to show that you never know where the gift is going to come from It is so great to watch you guys ❤️
Another song for Jordan would be Tracy Byrd "Lately (Been Dreamin' bout babies)"! Jordan remember your girls will always be your babies! Teach them to be good humans, and strong women and show the world what they can do! Your greatest gift is seeing how you prepared them to be the best adults possible!
So many great country artists And songs... Kenny is right up there with all the best. Go back a "few" years and listen to Dwight Yokam "Fast as You" Alan Jackson "Remember When" George Strait "Amarillo by Morning". Love the Channel, keep it up!
I’ve heard this song and seen the video countless times and I can’t help but tear up every time I watch it being a dad to 2 girls. It hits you right in the gut and, like Amber said, makes you want to slow things down. The genius of the song is how the chorus is first explaining his feelings of dread and then it’s completely flipped in meaning without having the change the line, “There goes my life.” And it’s such a true statement when you have children.
Another good one for you guys to listen to would be "Cats in the cradle " by Harry Chapin . Its a cautionary tale that every young father needs to here.
You two are such good people. There are a lot of reactions people out there but you guys are so genuine. I am a father of 4 with the youngest being 24 years old. When you see the bridge in the song where she goes from 2 years old to heading off to college, this is like real life. You will be surprised how fast it goes and the mountains of memories you will look back on and wish you could be transported back to relive. I now have 4 grand babies that are just awesome.
A job well done you two. This song pulls on your heart strings hard... You all should be proud of yourselves. It is a person not a choice...!!! I love you alls reaction.
The day your daughter pulls out of the driveway on the way to college - is one of the hardest days of your life. Even when they're adults coming home for a few days - and they leave again - it kills you all over again.
Don't blink Bro they grow up fast. I had two girls and now I have 5 grandaughers, 4 grandsons, and 2 great-grandsons. I'm still trying to figure out where the time went!!!!
The most authentic reaction I've seen from you yet...as should be, dad and daughter song, (with momma being happy) family is always first. Wish you all the best! Thanks for your videos.
My favorite Kenny Chesney song is called, "That's Why I'm Here." It's about a guy in an AA meeting, and since I've been sober since 12/23/2005 I can testify that someone (writer, producer, Kenny), somebody involved in the video is in recovery or is close to someone who is. I heard this song before I got sober, but it really hit home after. Kenny has a way of driving it home...I love his music. Thanks so much for your hard work, and for the bright spot in my day. Peace, y'all.
What a sweet story. I remember thinking about this song being a perfect song for both of you guys, especially Jordan of course. But hearing that the song and video mirrored your life and the start of your family, ...wow. I am glad enough people suggested it enough for you to notice and play it. I think if you explored more of Kenney Chesney's music 🎶 you would really enjoy it. I love how Amber described his voice, saying "if she could pour his voice into a cup".😄 Love your reactions, you both are so positive and sweet. It's always a great way to add some sunshine into my day by listening.🌈🥰
Love this reaction & supremely proud of the heart that yall have towards your girls. Amazing people and country music definitely has a story to tell with almost every video
Please try not to feel so much sadness over you're children growing up and one day going out on their own. All the wonderful parenting you two will be doing is like creating a walking work of art that will go out into the world and make it a better place! There is so much joy in teaching your children all they need to stand on their own and thrive.
You really, really need to listen to "Tough Little Boys", by Gary Allan. It would be a great follow up to this song. Definitely a song for all the dad's with little girls. Absolutely beautiful song
Your kids are so fortunate to have eachother. I, like many others grew up without a father in the home. For me, this song fills me with the yearning for the relationship I never had with my dad. Keep being awesome parents to your babies, love and cherish the time with them. thank you for opening up to us about your story.
There is definitely something special about the father-daughter relationship. I have a fantastic dad and one of my all-time favorite songs is “I Loved Her First” by Heartland. I will never get tired of listening to it, and (once you’ve recovered from Kenny 😉) it’s 100% worth checking out.
LOVE THIS! LOVE YOU GUYS! Kenny Chesney is awesome, you just can't go wrong with most any of his songs. Don't Blink, The Good Stuff, Something Sexy About The Rain, all great Kenny Chesney songs.
I’m sure other people think the same but , this song was written for me and my wife . 1996 I found out after a football game she was pregnant. It was a hard weekend and I had to make some big decisions. So I quit school got a job and asked her to marry me . I never got to play my last football game but I’m proud to say next year it will be our 25 th anniversary. Although it hasn’t always been easy , I wouldn’t trade anything for it . I now have two great sons and my daughter who is 24 now . And she has given me a wonderful grandson and I have a granddaughter on the way . Life can’t get to much better than this .
You guys are great!! My wife and I loved this song and video many years back. I had 2 girls and they have always meant the world to me. Thanks for the reaction.
I never heard this before , it’s so sweet . Another heart felt song is Esther Phillips - “Home is where the hatred is” which is really a sad song but it’s based on many peoples lives
There Goes My Life is such a touching song. I'm a father, and I've cried many times watching the video. No shame whatsoever! It gets me. And... You guys are so sweet, such great people. I subscribed and am watching more. It's so refreshing to see such genuinely great folks. Wish you all the best!
Two more father/child songs in the country genre: Conway Twitty - That's My Job - and Brad Paisley - He Didn't Have To Be. ❤️ Your reactions are so addicting by the way!
You should listen to "Butterfly Kisses" by Bob Carlisle ... another country song with similar message. I enjoyed y'alls reaction to this one... and appreciate your story.
J brother you held it together through that song. I admire that in you and just to let you know I shed the tears I Knew and felt you holding back it's life man and you'll always be Dad, don't you forget that

Thanks so much for your hard work, and for the bright spot in my day. Peace, y'all.
This is one of my favorite songs love almost every song Kenny Chesney has
What a sweet story.
This is one of those cases where the video does the song perfect justice.
I love y’all’s reactions! You’re so authentic and I am proud to consider myself part of the Rob Squad 😊😎☮️
And then the grandkids! And great-grandkids!
You absolutely must must MUST do “Who You’d Be Today”!
You really, really need to listen to "Tough Little Boys", by Gary Allan. It would be a great follow up to this song. Definitely a song for all the dad's with little girls. Absolutely beautiful song
I was just thinking that!
@@KittCrescendo y,
Oops!!! I didn't mean to send that.
I paused the vid in the middle and called someone I loved to tell them how much I appreciate them.
Thanks, guys! ♥️
Another country artist you should look into is toby keith. Songs like - who's that man, I love this bar, as good as I once was.
And who's your daddy
There Goes My Life is such a touching song. I'm a father, and I've cried many times watching the video. No shame whatsoever! It gets me.
And... You guys are so sweet, such great people. I subscribed and am watching more. It's so refreshing to see such genuinely great folks. Wish you all the best!
Two more father/child songs in the country genre: Conway Twitty - That's My Job - and Brad Paisley - He Didn't Have To Be. ❤️
Your reactions are so addicting by the way!
Oh definitely! Both of those!
also `I don't call him Daddy`, is very emotional
@@ClaudiuManea Thank you for reminding me of this song. Yes, definitely!
That’s My Job does it to me every time! 🥺
"That's My Job" is the best!!
The genius of this song is that "there goes my life" means something different after each verse......
You should listen to "Butterfly Kisses" by Bob Carlisle ... another country song with similar message. I enjoyed y'alls reaction to this one... and appreciate your story.
Oh, that will totally do Jay in. I’m not sure he could handle it! It kills me every time.
J brother you held it together through that song. I admire that in you and just to let you know I shed the tears I Knew and felt you holding back it's life man and you'll always be Dad, don't you forget that
