I just love the design! Someone said, "you can love it or hate it." But I just LOVE the design. Sleek, boxy, modern design that will detract other car owners on the road. I am reminded of that very old Onida TV adv caption in India: "Owners' pride, neighbors envy".
Thought I was a Lexus girl for life. 15 years and 3 Lexus’s later, I needed something bigger and couldn’t believe the features in this SUV! It’s really phenomenal!
We just got the limited ( black with pecan interior) and are thrilled with everything about it…it’s so ugly that it’s pretty if that makes sense, lol! It drives like a dream, much nicer than our ‘22 Pathfinder SL. The interior is roomy and comfy and the gas mileage is great. We’ve always wanted a Flex ( again, ugly but pretty), and yeah, it’s being called the “ Walmart Defender”, but for our budget and needs, this car is perfect. ( didn’t do the Calligraphy because we wanted a bench seat, and the limited had everything we needed)
I am neutral on the appearance but I tend to like things that are unique. I am impressed with what Hyundai is doing on luxury and tech. I have a Tucson Limited and love it. I might trade for one of these for greater towing.
If you wanted to bag on the vehicle because of DCT problems, then sure, that would be valid. But if you really think people buy a vehicle only because how the back of the vehicle looks, well, that's just flat out trolling or silly (if you're trying to be serious).
That center console will dig into your calf while you are driving. For the life of me why can't they ever put a slight curve on there to make it comfortable.
I have been really close to getting this. If they didn’t bludgeon the damn thing with so many Hs it would be a me easier decision. It’s so tacky on an otherwise fantastic design.
Toyota Landcruiser or this? Debating. I like that they (Hyundai) will come out with hybrid but turbo? Turbos go out well before 200k miles. Especially city miles
That’s breathtaking suv looks amazing I can’t believe it’s a Hyundai..I hope it’s rwd …looks like it has a factory rollpan need a metal bumper but looks great as is
@@drshayan4969 no it doesn’t. Both the Highlander and grand highlander can’t hold any candle to the competition including the Santa Fe The pilot and cx90 are the only ones who can give stiff competition to Hyundai and Kia
I test drove a Limited Santa Fe and a Kia Sorento X-Line Prestige this past weekend. Blown away by how good they both were. Immediately after I went and test drove a Genesis GV70, and was Immediately disappointed. It was nearly $10K more expensive than the Santa Fe and Sorento, but it was not an upgrade in quality, comfort, or features. Then I went and drove an Acura RDX and Lexus NX. Same story. Unless you're getting into the $70K+ luxury brand name, a top trim Santa Fe/Sorento gives you much better luxury than entry level luxury brands. I'm going to test drive a BMW X3 and a Lincoln Corsair this weekend, but I fully expect I'll have a Santa Fe or Sorento by next week.
You need this spec for this car to look good. I’ve seen a couple on the road now and they are kinda ugly. This spec is perfect for this car. Looks great here
I saw one on the interstate today. The front is okay. To me, it’s a really cheap version of a Bronco Sport. The rear, is like it was put together by LEGO.
I test drove it, it’s stiffer than the older model. I didn’t feel the turbo, and with this price, it’s a miss. I could have accepted it if the price was right, but again, I would choose the 2023 model over this one. Hopefully 2025 gets better!
Would have been a nice, cheaper alternative to the new Lexus GX550 except for the awful headlights and taillights. Saw one on the street and the taillights were so low I couldn’t see them, they were below my hood line in a Subaru Outback. People in bigger cars won’t be able to see them if it makes a sudden stop.
@danrecktenwall1071 Okay, thanks. I kind of regret getting the EV9. I wanted the 2024 Santa FE hybrid or plug-in hybrid, but all the dealerships around inventory said in route three weeks ago.

Imagine how long this Hyundai will last? Not even 200k miles, it on it way to the junk yards. It is still a Hyundai and all the electronic will crap soon on it way to visit dealer every often.
Hyundai and Kia don’t have a consistent design theme. Just keep changing every model to see what sticks. Gimmicks. Stay away. Get a Toyota or Honda instead.
That could mean good or bad. Since it’s a new name on the block, think of them like a new kid trying to find an identity. They can explore and experiment with new designs and ideas and not constraint to particular set of designs rules. Bad thing, like you mentioned; no consistency
Avoid Hyundai. I will never buy another. Had a Sante Fe that at 74,000 miles started using oil like crazy. Took it to Hyundai. Adding a quart ever 500 miles. At 98,000 miles they still havent done anything. Needs a new engine. Crap cars and a crap company.
Probably the ugliest rear in the market today. Hyundai went to great lengths to make sure that all the hard work that went into making such a compelling vehicle will go to waste
Please, by all means, explain that statement to me. I really do not understand what's "ugly" about it. It seems to be just part of the overall look of the vehicle.
I was not impressed when I took a look at this car at the 2024 NY auto show. Plus with Hyundai's reliability issues mostly with engines and transmission's I would stay the hell away from it.
@@olegb.4604 it's not a myth. Why haven't Hyundai serviced all of the vehicles from 2010-2017 that had a recall for engine fuel line malfunctioning and causing the engine to spontaneously combust?

its a lemon. a piece of junk
Everyone is on the ugly bandwagon comments as if they take their vehicles for a beauty pageant.
Because it is ugly. Too sterile looking and boxy AF.
Exactly we bought it because the inside is really spacious and easy to see around
I think it looks good, too. I don't think the tail lights look so bad as to make the whole car look bad.
good to see something that’s not a blob on wheels. Looks like a concept car brought to life 👏
Really well presented video. The way the features of the car are presented in real time while the presenter speaks.

How is the body-roll and handling?
This car doesn't have an ass.. Just flat in that back
