The GSR had dual intake valve springs, while the Type R had stock dual valve springs on both intake and exhaust. Nice job doing all that with the head on the car. I had to pull my GSR head at 330k miles to change the head gasket. Had the head resurfaced, new OEM valve seals, valve seats cut, and also installed Science of Speed LMA’s. That was in 2013. Car has 387k miles now with all original drivetrain for everything else.
Hey brother, great video very helpful. Going to start on my car soon. Also, I wanted to ask if you can make a video of how to take apart a head and put together that would be cool and maybe even in the future make a video of how to replace a motor that’ll be cool thanks man .
Thanks. I think the supertech valve spring kit was a better deal. It came in the whole valve springs and retainers full kit rather than having to buy them separately which was more expensive than the skunk2. I think at least at that time Skunk2 did not offer it all in a complete “kit”.
That rope idea is brilliant, well done

Nice and informative video. May I know why you decided on SuperTech valve and springs kit instead of Skunk2 ?

*Hey Spencer, what size bolt did you use to remove the Orifice from the Rocker Shaft?*
It’s most likely a regular 10mm bolt which is 6x1.0 thread
@@Patrick94GSR*Ok, thanks for the info.*

How much horsepower would you say you’ll make with this setup?
One of these days I’m going to get it dyno tuned… I’ll know then.

Can I buy that HPT tool from you? It's no longer available.
Hey man, try searching Amazon.
Hi Spencer
I'll tell you a secret.. I don't have the oring that goes in the center of the head under the cam cap
Hi, well you better go get it from Honda or you won’t be enjoying VTEC. Thanks for watching.
What is the part number for that blue gasket??
