There's something nice and warm about the brown brick homes in this mod. I guess it feels less sterile than what the vanilla game used, at least to me.
I really like the village feel of this mod, I absolutely love the stone buildings, its not as clean as the present mod I have chosen but I will definitely keep this in mind if I make another play through.
What a nice variety of homes, buildings, and shops! Like you said, I think Sanctuary looks like a proper town. I like seeing features that aren’t often seen in overhaul mods such as the clocktower and the children’s’ park. The fishing and dock areas along the riverbank are great because they open up the settlement and make it larger. To me, the settlement looks realistic because it’s been cleaned up but still shows a bit of wear, giving the impression that settlers are actually trying to improve their lot in life rather than being content with shacks and trash on their floors.
This is the one I recommended to you when I first saw your early video about sanctuary being a mess, this is the one I use but I used the creation kit to build most of the empty rooms (so that I don’t have to do it every time I make a new play through) so I have a version thats pretty much fully built up. :)
Oh that's a brilliant idea! I was thinking just that the other day - when I make a settlement I really like and don't want to have to do it over again. In EQ2 we used something called the Layout Editor which enabled you to save your build and then recreate it at the touch of a button elsewhere - if only we could do that here so simply!
@@FebrithDarkstar I find the creation kit the best way to do it, you could try the mod "transfer settlements" which lets you save a blueprint of a settlement and then reload it in future playthroughs, but the bigger your settlement is the longer it takes to do and if you so much as move funny whilst its doing it you get a CTD, some people have great success with it, but i once found it took nearly an hour to copy back a settlement i'd made so I stopped using it, I just build in the CK now cause I'm so used to it,
This is always how I wanted Sanctuary to look like - a town surrounded by a wide river and maybe a lake containing a nice amount of homes and structures and such. Defensible because in an attack people don't really swim to the target. In a way I'm glad it wasn't becasue I probably wouldn't have left. lol
Yes he did a great job on making it feel like it's going to be a lively and vibrant town and the mix of buildings works really well to contribute towards that feeling:)
I'm with you on the, "so many good Sanctuary mods". I have not tried this one yet. Haven't tried very many of them yet, truth be told. I think I run into trouble because I would need to start a new playthrough to prevent conflict with all I already have in game in a more advanced playthrough. This is where mods that change known world spaces have a disadvantage compared to those that are created in their own world space. I can add in a new home somewhere that has never had a home but mayhem will follow an attempt to just drop a new layout onto one previously discovered and perhaps modded already. I think next playthrough, before I get too far along, I will go on a bit of a marathon to test out a number of contenders. Sort out those that speak to me but get the chance to explore and enjoy all the creativity before making hard choices. This one is on the list for sure because it looks like it fits. A prosperous town before the disaster and still doing pretty good for itself. The church roof is sad though. I hate to think I will need to use the build feature to cover those holes with the carboard, rusty tin and spit glue that seems to pass for construction materials in the vanilla game. All I can conclude is that the people of the Commonwealth are used to having rainwater dripping down their necks pretty well everywhere that might laughingly be called indoors. I don't know about you but when I hear that the loo has running water I don't want that to mean falling on my head.
Lol exactly :XD Also, I think that's why I was rushing at the end of my first playthrough, because I already knew a couple that I wanted to check out, including the Age of Airships (because I couldn't get that one to start in my first game - I think I was too far in). So this time I'm taking more time to smell the roses:)
@@FebrithDarkstar Sorry I forget not everyone grew up watching the goings on of the fictional Mayberry Nth Carolina, and you're probably the better for not knowing who Barney Fife is lol.
too new looking for me but i have got some ideas from watching this for my own settlement builds. How have I never thought to put a dock on the river. looks nice though.
this one looks also very nice. I guess I would keep this to also get the one. I also can't read it as well, but I guess its a real one, my father had known them just by looking, he liked that stuff, he also had a small collection. maybe the car could be also real.
I have seen and tried this one before, but it just didn't grab me. Maybe there was a bit too much going on? I did like the fleshed out road and how it circles the settlement.
To bad there isn't a mod that can be activated in game, that would allow you to switch various sanctuary mods. Such as a pole/post with a light switch on it heh, oh well. Instead of mood lighting could be a set of mood mods =P.
This one is among my favourites, it feels like a liveable town.

We have this mod for our Fallout game. We love it. Have not done Red Rocket as yet. Of course we started over completely.
There are a lot of mods but this one is particularly original! You have fairly short videos Feb but you make me laugh every time ^^
Oh that's good to know :D
@@FebrithDarkstar In these complicated and a little sad times, I must say that I look forward to my daily video ^^

Very relaxed looking town where people would want to rebuild civilization!. The only thing missing is Barney Fife.
I had to Google who that was :)

Glad you enjoyed it;)
a balcony, conveniently placed from which you may spit upon the peasants...
A lady never spits! I might chuck buns at them though :XD

Feb there is a modelled one minutemen quest at a time. Makes Preston much less annoying
Ooh I saw that (or something like it) - poor sod, I've hardly seen him so far this time - too busy to go home! :D
nicely done mate . love the video..
Thanks 👍
love it!!
:XD
lol ''uh oh there's preston'' he has another settlement to mark on your map hide! xD
Heh :XD
Is anybody else’s glitching, like out of nowhere walls and floors will keep disappearing for no reason
This is nice, but I like your other one better. But I would use this one to get the OMG red rocket. Thanks for the video Febrith.
Yes I really wish you could have the RR without the Sanctuary - you know, just to extend our options a bit!

Yes it's got a lot of good points and luckily we have a lot to choose from!:)
Have you bought anniversary edition yet? I just updated mine, but havent gone full in yet.. Have a good one!
I haven't, though I'm still popping in for videos - when I've got over my FO obsession I'll undoubtedly come back to it and think about it then:)

Ill be honest, I used to bulid huge stuff like this but the lack of life and npcs always killed it for me
I think once you get that shopping/market area manned, this one would feel pretty vibrant, I love the idea of having a town centre like that:)
I can’t complete the quest Out of Time with this mod
